2019 was definitely the year that tried my patience, pissed me off, challenged me, left me emotionally confused and rewarded me with opportunities to grow personally and professionally. I’m glad the universe decided I was that chick that could endure anything it threw at me.

It’s Museum Day in rainy Sacramento! Our first stop was to the California State Indian Museum. I’m conflicted when I visit this place because the state controls this history and we all know that when colonizers are in control of artifacts they control the historic narrative. It was a cool visit just one filled with so many questions and doubts.

#LatePost This is the face of a mother of a 21 year old! I could be more proud of the fact that I had my eldest and the tender age of 23 while in college. As a first time mom and college student I was scared being responsible for baby boy, taking care of home with my husband and studying to get my degree is Business Administration.
Every year of his survival was a milestone for his dad and I. Each year he grew one year older we knew we had done something right to shape this little being’s personality.
I was so young and clueless but raising my son is the one thing I got right.
