Timeline 1

Jun Wu didn't care much about Xie Lian's retainers by the time of XianLe's third ascension. They had blurred into the many faces that bowed to him, of voices that reported their missions.

Long were the days were Jun Wu watched them fight, enjoying their brutality. Their rage and sorrow. Their suffering.

He underestimated them.

Thinking them as uncaring and cowardly as his own servants; fake friends, disloyal and self-centered.

Little did he know, Mu Qing and Feng Xing were ready to burn down the world if it meant keeping their prince safe. If it meant Bai Wuxiang's defeat.

How could he have known that the always prickly Xuan Zhen would defy him? That the man who cared so much about reputation would dabble in forbidden arts? That the man who abandoned his prince to save himself would offer his life as sacrifice?

How could he have known that Nan Yang would follow Xuan Zhen's plan without hesitation? How could he have known that they didn't hate each other and that this time the trust they shared would no falter?

How could he have known to worry about two pathetic martial gods when he had Crimson Rain and XianLe infront of him?

Timeline 1.5

Jun Wu knew since the moment he saw Bai ān Hua that the Ghost meant trouble. Arrogant. To claim XianLe infront of the entire court, looking directly at him and mocking him with sugary words.

Too knowledgeable.

A fox that didn't bother hiding.

Crackling power that burned when Jun Wu tried to touch XianLe as Bai Wuxiang.

Poisonous presence that corroded the Yong'an army, melting flesh out of bone, and creating a nightmare that even the desperation of hunger couldn't conquer.

Hunting prowess as he guided XianLe and the archer in their battle against his chosen champion. Experience and cunning wrapped in red and silver.

An enemy to be cautious off.

One he would enjoy breaking.

Timeline 2

Paradaise Flower Trapped in the Storm was an abomination that didn't deserve to exist. The creature that kept XianLe away from him time and time away.

Timeline 3

Xie Lian broke.

Just not in the way Jun Wu desired. And now, Xie Lian was surrounded by two powerful wraths another fallen God and crowned himself a Calamity, building a new territory in the ruins of XianLe.

Untouchable by heaven.

Bai Wuxiang raged, forced back under the newly freed XianLe's strength. Burned, poisoned. Purified.

Known.

Seen.

Because Xie Lian knew who hid behind the mask and his silver menace had no hesitation in using mei nianqing against him. Taking advantage of his inability to die, using him as a sacrifice to power up his cursed magic over and over.

Jun Wu had created a monster.

One that watched up to the Heavens and saw only a territory to be conquered.
