i really can’t explain this feeling.. hearing jjong’s voice is one thing (a very precious one i don’t take for granted) but to hear him be so readily and frequently directly and explicitly mentioned and talked about—to the point where it made headlines at first and then it just started being normal—is completely another. having their 17th anniversary show begin with a song by him that they completed for him and end with a song for him, singing how they hope their voices reach him, and key explaining this through teary eyes, leaving no room for speculation. even having the rest of shinee joke around and complain about his poet artist guide all the while it’s all actually just thinly (if at all) veiled praise and admiration.. having taemin compare his voice to an instrument and (after recording a song written almost a decade ago that they changed so minimally it’s almost imperceptible and yet it still sounds so fresh and current) say almost casually how good jonghyun is and how he could’ve written so many great songs with some of the people taemin’s worked with.. even just having ㅎㅅㅎ’s official return in the merch. it’s indescribable

kpop stans brains are literally rotten from all the content they get 24/7, cause why is it whenever someone suggests skz should rest more, there are always stays who say it's their job and they have to overwork to be successful. it's not normal to be on a world tour and at the same time release 3 albums, prepare for cb, film skz codes and do bunch of other stuff. if they have a big tour with minimal rest days between stops, they shouldn't be releasing any album at all
#YEAH#its not normal#and ive had stans say too like 'oh but the group says they want to do this theyre not being forced to'#yeah its still a shitty schedule#and theyre still gonna burn out and injure themselves or smth. its not healthy to do this level of high energy content#backtobacktoback 24/7#not even mentioning how it sucks on a musical level too#not that the music is bad#as in like. comebacks and albums dont get proper room to shine and breathe#and they get bulldozed over by the next comeback like a month later#they blur together over time#i genuinely think they should take a 6 month hiatus and stay home. like off tour and off performing#just like. rest for more than 5 minutes#anyway this is also part of why i dont keep up much anymore w kpop cos it gets so overwhelming for fans too#if youre not dialed in 24/7 you miss shit every day and companies play to that fomo to get you to buy more shit
