"After receiving a tip about a family of Burrowing Owls on the eastern edge of Cheyenne, a photographer rushed to the location in late June. The owlets seemed nearly ready to leave their burrows. Over the years, the photographer has perfected a method using a GoPro on a small tripod, set to take a photo every 5 seconds. They leave the camera behind, allowing the owls to feel comfortable. The challenge lies in the long wait to see if the effort pays off. This shot was taken on June 28th."

Master Your Sentence to Master Your Writing.
You could argue that the word is the basic unit of writing. You could even argue the letter. But the sentence is more fitting.
The words whisper, stars, moon, and dreams don’t mean much on their own. But put them in a sentence, and they become: Whisper to the stars and let the moon guide your forgotten dreams. They are complete and stand powerfully on their own, unlike a word.
From a literary point of view, a word doesn’t express enough, let alone the letter. But the sentence can describe, tell, move, and plait. The sentence can express because it’s full and makes sense by itself.
Every novel or novella, short story or flash fiction. Every work of literature contains well-constructed, well-chosen sentences.
So, how do you write good sentences?
You read good sentences.
You read Shakespeare or Goethe. You read Tolstoy or Dostoevsky or Dickens or Jane Austene or Virginia Woolf.
You read Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, James Joyce, Franz Kafka, John Milton, Ralph Emerson, Gilbert Chesterton, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln.
You read ancient literature like the Epic of Gilgamesh, or the Iliad, the Odyssey, Aeneid, The Analects, the Ramayana, or The Masnavi.
You read and read widely. Read every day and read good sentences. Excellent sentences. Unforgettable sentences. Long and short ones.
Some sentences might stretch and get ahead of themselves, others might be incredibly short. Some are full of vigour and energy while some others become dull and fall flat.
You pay attention to all these things and internalize them as you read. Writers, more than anyone else, must read good sentences while avoiding bad ones.
Will this make a difference? You’ll have to find that out yourself.
But I can guarantee you this: you cannot read so much and so widely without improving your writing.
You’ll develop a taste for good sentences, like someone who drank enough coffee to know between the good or bad brew.
At some point, you will know whether your sentences are the best they could be or not.
Have a good day, and remember to read.

Slaves who escaped were breaking the law. Literally. Outright.
Jewish people who escaped the Nazis were breaking the law. Literally. Outright.
The law is a horrible judge of morality.

Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like....I don't even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like... He's just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.

Keep your messaging simple:
“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”
That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.
