@flightofaqrow says:  You can still be the tall one. Apparently he's the hottest one.

Tumblr media
“Hot is subjective.” Though, yeah. The tattoos are hot. He’s hot. “He can be the Stylish One? He’s still got an inch on me though.”

“Yeah I do! I have 151 crabs! Want to hold one, Qrow?” He asks, but he’s already handing one over to Qrow.
Tumblr media
“That’s Lollipop. No, wait. I think this is Lollipop and I gave you Cotton Candy. It’s hard to tell they all look the same.” He’s already naming them.
Well, the joke didn’t land, apparently. Water off a fisher’s back.
Tumblr media
“Cotton candy? This better not - OW!” Trying not to flail and fling it, as it pinches his thumb.

@bcwtched sent:  📚 + 32 (for dragon tai)
(The Winner iiiiiiis: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman! The scene is a few people show up on the MC’s doorstep, with some questions).
---
People didn’t come out his way on Patch much anymore. The girls were gone, Qrow was gone, Port was more or less retired and Barty was busy with his Deputy Headmastership and trying to retake Beacon with Glynda. When Tai heard the knock he’d glanced at Zwei questioningly, and felt himself tensing up. Knocks could mean a lot of things. Like Ozpin, coming to inform him that Summer would not be coming home.
He swallowed, tried to banish the nervousness, and eased open the door to squint outside at whoever it might be. For a moment, he expected police uniforms. Maybe some Huntsman acquaintance, or Barty. Maybe even Glynda.
Not... well. Whoever the heck this man was.
He craned his neck back, easing the door open enough so he could even look properly. He was tall. Impossibly tall. And more importantly, he was hurt, favoring one side and looking worse for wear. Tai at once felt a stab in his chest to open his door and offer aid immediately. Only old instincts instilled by Qrow and Raven kept him from it.
He took a deep breath, trying to get a scent from him, staging it like apprehension. He smelled... familiar, and yet not. Not really human.
Could he be...? “Can I help you, stranger?”

@scatterose sent: 📙  + page #117 for vampire qrow! 👀
(The Winner of last book read waaaas... Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher. I discovered most of my books have been packed so all I have is JB and Neil Gaiman close at hand lolll. The scene in question is rescuing a girl from a deadly storm).
---
If he pretended he didn’t hear her yells, if he kept going and flying as hard as he could, he could outpace the storm. He could find somewhere safe to hole up, wait it out, and move on. Hide from daylight, if he had to and it lasted that long. It didn’t have to be his problem. It wasn’t like he didn’t have thousands of his own to worry about.
She screamed again, and Qrow felt his will break. As much as he liked to pretend he’d stopped caring a long time ago, he knew he hadn’t. He let the wind turn him, lifting under his wings, and shot towards where she heard her cries.
It didn’t take long for the wind to push him towards her. He waved through the air, through whipping boughs, and past the presence of too many Grimm, before he spotted her. She was ghostly, white cloak plastered to her form, daggers flashing in the darkness. More than that, he realized he recognized those cries.
Well, it was too late to turn back. If he was lucky he could help her out of her bind and disappear before she realized who he was.
He dropped like a stone, feathers melting way to skin, to clothes, to cape, and to his weapon.
Harbinger flashed in the glare of a lightning strike, cutting through the beowulf that had been coming up behind her. All he had to do was kill them, see Summer safe, disappear, and ignore the weight of his choices in his heart. After all, he’d left them.

The Children of Light (Taiyang):
Long ago, dragons lived openly on Remnant, though now they are regarded as mythical as the sisters in the Story of Seasons. Hunted nearly to extinction, the two factions have withdrawn to the north and allowed themselves to fade into folklore.
There are two factions of dragons on Remnant. On the floating mountains of Draco, Taiyang’s people live in temples built high into the peaks among the clouds. In their natural form, his people resemble eastern dragons, and are thought to be the chosen children of the Brother of Light. some have different elemental abilities that seem indicative from the colour of their scales, as though they were born from dust, and others do not. Scale colour is mostly hereditary, though there are rare occurrences where family members will be dissimilar. A spiritual people, the clan call themselves the Children of the Light or Lightborn. Due to their long lifespans and relatively small population, growth has been slow going, and cut off from the chaotic and quick lives of human culture they have stagnated. Controlled by a council of elders, tradition, preservation, and the history of their people is a doctrine by which they live. Their secrecy and reclusive natures eventually bred xenophobia, both to humans and to their brother faction.
On the eastern shores of Draco, more likely to sail to human lands, is the faction who refers to themselves as Children of the Dark, or Darkborn, thought to be descended from the brother of darkness. They are a far more chaotic group compared to their brothers of law, and less rigid and strict about tradition. Much of their own history is lost, and primarily passed through stories. In their natural form they resemble western dragons, with sweeping wingspans. Like their kin, scale colour seems hereditary, and only a few have true elemental powers. They are more likely to sail to human lands and explore, and try to fit in, though they do keep their true selves a secret. However, there is a continuous rivalry with the Lightborn and their stifled ways, and there are constant clashes, usually made into trials of strength and ability to prevent all out war and diminish their numbers further.
There is speculation as to why, if it is Salem’s doing, they were hunted. Perhaps it was because the Lightborn had a strong tendency to bear silver-eyed children, perhaps it was a dark reminder of her own failure. Whatever the cause, both races are nearly extinct.
Taiyang was never one for the life his clan lived. He found their ways stifling and stagnant. At under two-hundred years old, he was still considered a child and his nature was passed off as the willfulness of youth. Knowing the consequence for leaving Draco was exile stopped him only a few years before he made his way on one of the ships of their brother clan and began to explore Remnant. After learning about huntsman and their academies, and eager for adventure, Taiyang applied at Beacon Academy to learn about humanity and forge his own path. While he attempted to keep his true nature and abilities a secret, even the most careful can slip up.
