Ahh, I alr answered question like this one on the QnA post comment(?) section but here's the answer!

Before Diluc gave him the eye injury (that doesn't blind him ik), Kaeya already wear an eyepatch. Both in the comic and in the official merch :D I just keep it in line with canon

All Khaenri'ahn characters wear an eyepatch on their right eye, so I think there's smth to do with lore. Also!! I don't know what Kaeya's right eye look like since it's not confirmed. It was confirmed that he can see with it, but not about what it looks like :')

TL;DR: Kaeya still wear an eyepatch because I am following canon, and I don't want to make assumptions on how his right eye looks like since it's not confirmed! He gets the eyepatch from his biological father :) Pierro doesn't remove it because he knows that it's a Khaenri'ah thing

Context/lore:

In this AU, Kaeya came to Teyvat with limited knowledge in Teyvat's common language. Most of the words he knows are outdated, and he's more proficient in reading and writing rather than listening and talking.

Pierro push Kaeya to study hard so he can listen and speak fluently. He brings him to meetings so Kaeya can experience real-life verbal conversations and told him to remember or note down words that he doesn't understand to ask Pierro later.

It takes Kaeya a long time to actually starts talking to someone other than Pierro because both of them are perfectionists lmao. It would be easier if Kaeya has someone around his age to talk with (like Diluc in the canon universe), but in this building, only Pierro and the Tsaritsa knows how to speak Khaenri'ahn fluently
