trans people will literally go “i have a complicated relationship with my history with gender and sometimes see it as a gender i ‘used to be’ and i don’t really look like a cis person of either gender and i don’t think i can fit it into simple categories” and everyone will spontaneously combust
#the dilemma of hearing cis older people say things like oh well he used to be a girl and now he's a boy while knowing that#1) it's fully possible that's their experience but#2) talking like this about all trans people regardless of their individual experiences makes their gender sound like a deliberate choice#like i dunno what to tell you. maybe it is like you say but maybe it's not.#if i tell you all trans people don't have one universal experience your head might explode#so#but that's all to say ofc everyone is different and op's posts are v important#gender can change and be fluid besties get with it
