( ♚ ) being followed by or finding wandering spirits in the world of the living is not an uncommon occurrence for ichigo. in most cases, some spirits wanted to be reunited with loved ones in the afterlife while others still had something they were searching for. when asked how he could see spirits, ichigo lets out a laugh. ❝ i’m a spiritual being known as a soul reaper. we’re able to see and speak with the spirits of those who have passed on. you’ve been wandering for some time haven’t you? ❞

That was… an interesting question. Something Kazuha honestly hadn’t found himself thinking about too often. Hard to think too much about the future when the present along was such a challenge, after all.

And for a moment, Kazuha hums, accompanied with a subtle tilt of his head, taking his time mulling it over.

“Mh… I presume I am simply looking forward to reaching our common objective. To free our homeland and see people be able to live freely and at peace once again.” And a brief, light chuckle followed. “I must admit that the thought of no longer having a bounty looming over my head is quite tempting as well.”

And then, without thinking much about it, as if an instinctive reaction, his hand is resting on the vision’s husk hidden between folds of clothing, thumb brushing over the smooth, cold surface, smile just a smidge forced now.

“But… if you were to ask for a deeper answer than that… I cannot say I am entirely sure anymore. Perhaps I am simply yearning to find my own freedom once again… or to ensure that an old ambition and dream doesn’t get snuffed out by such an unforgiving storm. I haven’t thought about much beyond surviving all this time, after all- and surviving is not as kind and lenient as one might believe.”

But for now, he puts those thoughts aside, turning to the other instead.

“I could ask the same to you. It is… curious, to see an outsider take an interest in lending us a hand.”

( ��� ) ❝ you aren’t wrong in that regard. ❞ to hear someone like mei say this was a surprise, but it is possible she had her reasons. ❝ i did feel that way when i was younger, but i’ll tell more about that some other time. ❞ a small smile comes at the thought of the valkyrie visiting his world. ❝ i actually wouldn’t mind spending more time with you, plus a change of scenery might do some good! ❞

on the other hand though, would it really be alright for mei to leave her position and venture off to an unknown realm with someone she had not known too well yet?

       ( ♚ ) Given that Ichigo and Blake were both rather reserved, moments together ended up becoming a bit awkward. Over time however, they learned to welcome one another’s company. During a casual conversation about their time at Beacon, Ichigo found his hand going through Blake’s hair lightly, quickly pulling away upon noticing. ❝ Oh! S-sorry ... I never realized how soft your hair was. ❞ ( He avoided touching her ears thankfully )

( ♚ ) whether it was sparring sessions, long class lectures and activities, or just a casual stroll around the city yang seemed to tire much faster than ichigo which was strange considering both had equal amounts of high energy. though the brawler’s determination to get stronger was admirable there were times where the swordsman said not to overexert herself ( even when she stubbornly went about pushing her limits ).

the sensation of head resting against shoulder causes ichigo to turn his head and see a weary-eyed yang just moments from dozing off. seeing his friend in such a peaceful state prompts a light-hearted smile against features. ❝ started counting sheep already? next thing you know i’ll be carrying you back to your dorm! ❞
