the question then becomes; If Tertiums leadership is corrupt up and down the ladder all the way up to perhaps even Lord Margrave, why has Margrave invited the 53rd to take over the war zone?? is he perhaps trying to pit the 53rd against the warband to protect himself against the Inquisition finding out his culpability?

Of the Inquisitorial warband itself, I have little to remark. They are, for the most part, thugs and rejects, who seem little better or more disciplined than the very traitors we combat. They are ill-tempered, and regulation-shy. They are not soldiers, and they certainly lack the numerical strength to achieve any lasting compliance. Further, their loyalty to the Throne appears shabby and forced, not bright and willing as is the case with the Astra Militarum Steelheads. I will, in fairness and balance, record that this “warband” has fought hard and at great cost thus far, achieving some gains against the enemy. But it is not enough, and they are not enough, and I fear that their morale will soon snap as thoroughly as the loyalty of the Traitorous 6th. I will take field command of their endeavours, and have my trusted sergeants train their rabble squads to something approaching military composure.

im slightly struggling to imagine the tenno defeating an edlritch being like The Man in the Wall using power borrowed from that very eldritch being. but im sure we'll make a big gun to do it. maybe a sword!

so helldivers is amazing, really awesome game that I've been LOVING every second of

HOWEVER it has made me realize that game community spaces, reddit being the most significant for me, have gotten SO much worse in the past decade.

back when I played destiny, specifically when the malok (maloc? malloc? memory allocate?) update came out, I was glued to the reddit for news and cool discoveries and all that. it was awesome, I felt super engaged and invested in the game even when I wasn't able to log in.

so the helldivers subreddit... and the finals subreddit... and the destiny subreddit nowadays... they all suck. it's all angry discussion about metas, or game design complaints with garbage suggestions for fixes, or complaints about fellow players / the playerbase as a whole. just a constant stream of negativity and now I just can't engage with games in a positive way without logging in

i miss being able to read stuff about a game but now it's all over optimization or grind guides or players complaining about all that stuff. I don't have a solution I'm just kind of mourning that I can't have as much hype for stuff as I used to.

I saw the "AD BLOCK IS NOT ALLOWED ON YOUTUBE" popup on YouTube only for it to immediately disappear within a half second. I felt like a lady being shielded by the great knight sir Firefox from a terrible bowmans arrow.
