[BSTS] Sinju Golden Week 4* Card Story
guys, I think I went to heaven

Chapter 1 -outdoor stage wings, day-
sinju: Sorry for the wait, Saki-chan! Thanks for coming to watch our show.
saki: You were great! The show was a blast.
sinju: Yeah, those who saw our performance for the first time seemed to like it as well. It was a good show.
So, where should we go now? I’m free for the rest of the day so let's go have some fun.
-amusement park, day-
sinju: Let's grab something to eat first.
saki: What do you feel like eating?
sinju: The churros caught my attention. I saw the stall banner before the show. Oh, it looks like they come in two different flavours. Cinnamon or salt.
Hmm, which flavour should I get? Cinnamon would be the more traditional option, right?
saki: Since it's lunchtime the salt flavour is hard to pass on though.
sinju: Right? Hmmmm. Oh, I know! How about we buy one flavour each and split them?
saki: Sounds good. That way we can enjoy both flavours!
-time pass-
sinju: Looks like I’ve got the salt flavoured one, so yours must be cinnamon. Here, you can try the salt one first. Say ahh.
saki: Oh, um…
sinju: Ah, sorry! I just thought it would be nicer to have the sweeter flavour after the salty one.
saki: T-thank you. Is it ok if I borrow the salt churros then?
sinju: Of course, here you go.
saki: …Mm, it's delicious! It kind of tastes like a savoury snack.
-sinju takes a bite-
sinju: It really does! I wonder if it would pair well with ketchup? It’s a flavour that makes you want to alternate it with the sweet one.
saki: Would you like to try the cinnamon flavour then?
sinju: Can I? Oh but, my hands are full at the moment, could you feed it to me?
saki: O-ok. Here you go.
-he smiles and takes a bite-
sinju: …Yep! It's delicious! You can't go wrong with cinnamon.
saki: Fufu, I’m glad to hear it. Sharing food like this is a little embarrassing though.
sinju: So it wasn't just me? To be honest my heart was racing just now. It really feels like we're on an actual date.
I’d like to spend more time together with you like this though. Just a day is fine, right? I hope you enjoy this date with me, Saki-chan.
-
Chapter 2 -amusement park, night-
sinju: Uwah, it's already gotten dark. I was having so much fun that I lost track of the time. It’s been so long since I last visited an amusement park.
saki: Same. I didn't notice the time either.
sinju: Last time I was here was for the summer hero show, so it's been around two years huh? We didn't get to hang out for the whole day back then. So thanks, I’ve had a seriously fun time with you today.
saki: Thank you as well. Today has felt like I stepped into a dream.
sinju: A dream… Say, Saki-chan, could it be that you're thinking the same thing as me?
saki: Hm?
sinju: I was thinking that I don’t want today to end. I wish we could just keep hanging out and having fun together. How about you?
saki: I was thinking the same, yes.
sinju: Fufu, I figured. Come this way, Saki-chan.
-he takes her hand-
saki: Huh? Ah… Your hand… Where are we going now?
sinju: You’ll find out when we get there.

sinju: Check out the ferris wheel! Isn't the way it lights up really pretty?
saki: Woah, you're right! It’s really romantic.
sinju: I wanted to ride the ferris wheel at night so that's why I left it until last. I want to see the nighttime scenery with you there beside me.
saki: Sinju-san…
sinju: I said it already, didn't I? We’re on a date. So I want you to enjoy every moment. The day isn't over just yet, so let's keep having fun at the amusement park together!

Hello! Do you think whose personal growth in these 5 years is visible brighter and whose more impresses you? And who has changed the attitude to Saki most in your opinion?
Good question!
Personally I think Lico has by far had the most noticeable character development, he went from being rude and uncaring, to caring deeply about Team B, even going as far as bowing his head to Haseyama in order to protect them… Despite his confident facade I love that we’ve gotten to see behind it, and see that deep down he’s just a lonely guy looking for some reassurance, someone give this man a hug please 😭
Gui has also changed a lot, he used to just protect Saki cause its what Kei ordered him to do, but now he protects her because it’s what he wants to do. She’s important to him and he wants to keep her safe,, seeing him slowly come to realise just how much Saki means to him has been so cute

[BSTS] Hinata Hanami 2025 4* Card Story
(note: B’s show is based on the fairy tale Thumbelina)

Chapter 1 -botanical garden, day-
hinata: A date with Miss ♪ It’s a date ♪
Thanks for coming here with me! Let’s study heaps of flowers together. I think my performance will be better if I know more about all of the flowers that appear in it.
saki: You sure are a hard worker.
hinata: Of course! That’s cause during this show there’s a period where the cast members switch in and out, so I get to perform! Plus seeing the flowers in person is better than just looking them up on the internet.
-time pass-
hinata: Ah, Miss, look! There’s a water lily!
saki: Woah, they’re so large and beautiful.
hinata: Um, let’s see… (he googles them) It’s a flower in the Nymphaeaceae family with the genus Nymphaea. They bloom in ponds or lakes and look as if they’re floating above the water. They’re a perennial and water-based plant. They may look like a lotus but they’re a different classification of plant. That’s what it says.
I had no idea~ Do you have any flowers you’re curious about, Miss?
saki: Hm, violets I suppose.
hinata: The violets are in the area up ahead, let’s go check them out!
-time pass-
hinata: —Ah, here they are.
saki: I didn’t know violets could be this colour too.
hinata: I wonder if they’re different depending on the colour. Let me look it up.
Oh I see, they mean something in flower language too. Uhhh, they mean ‘humble’ and ‘a small happiness’. That makes sense, they’re so small and cute.
Oh wait~ The meaning is different depending on the colour! It says yellow mean ‘love’ and white mean ‘an innocent love’.
saki: That’s interesting. It’s fun just taking our time to enjoy the flowers like this.
hinata: Yeah… Flowers probably have the power to make people happy.
-time pass, street, sunset-
hinata: Thanks for hanging out with me until this late, Miss.
saki: Thanks, I had fun today.
hinata: Heheh, it was the best date ever. ♪
saki: —Oh look, the dandelions are blooming.
hinata: You’re right. They’re growing through the gaps in the concrete. Dandelions can even bloom in places like this huh? They’re not in a flower bed, even though a more noticeable place would be better for them.
saki: I think that’s what makes them strong-willed though.
hinata: You think so?
saki: Sometimes they’ll catch my eye and bring a smile to my face. I think it’s wonderful that they’re able to bloom even in such harsh places.
hinata: A smile… I see. So that’s how you see it? (he smiles)
-
Chapter 2 -starless lobby-
hinata: Good morning, Miss! I was just out here looking at the flower stands. I love that there’s so many of them, I always thought they were so pretty. Because we went and studied some flowers together, I feel as though I can recognise even the feelings that the guests who are supporting me wanted to express with them too.
See look, this flower stand addressed to me has some dandelions in it. It’s the flower that my role, the butterfly, delivers to Thumbelina.
saki: Aw, how cute. It’s not everyday that you see a flower stand with dandelions in it.
hinata: Right? In flower language dandelions mean ‘sincere love’. I looked it up after our date the other day. So today I’ll express my sincere love to you, Miss!
-cg
hinata: “Don’t look so down, Thumbelina. Everything will be just fine, I’m right here beside you. I’ll always be ready to fly right over to you whenever you need my help!”
-cg gone
hinata: Did you enjoy my impromptu performance?
saki: Yes. Just watching you filled me with feelings as warm as Spring.
hinata: Yay, I’m glad my feelings reached you! Y’know, when I was told that the flowers the butterfly gives the princess were dandelions, I was like, why would he give her such a plain flower?
They’re small and bloom on the side of footpaths. They’re not really flowers that many people notice, right? There’s no way giving a flower like that to the princess would make her look his way.
But… now I know that there’s people like you, Miss, who take the time to notice that they’re blooming. It made me happy, I guess it’s cause I could relate to the dandelions.
saki: Fufu, both you and the dandelions make me smile. Because watching your performances always cheer me up.
hinata: Heheh, thanks. In that case, I’ll have to keep doing my best! I’ll keep giving you lots and lots of pretty flowers, so make sure you watch me forever, ok?

[BSTS] Sinju Birthday 2025 4* Card Story

Chapter 1 -starless restaurant area-
sinju: Welcome home, my lady. I’ll prepare some black tea for you. Here you go, please help yourself. It is hot though, so do be careful.
saki: Thank you. You’re just like a real butler, Sinju-san.
sinju: Really? This is my first time acting as a butler so I practiced a whole bunch. A month goes by so quickly, so I want to enjoy this event with the guests while I can.
saki: Fufu, sounds great.
sinju: Sotetsu and I are the last ones to be doing the butler service too, so I hope everyone has fun right up until it's over.
saki: Of course.
sinju: Hm…? What’s going on at that table over there? Are they having trouble? Sorry, excuse me for a moment, Saki-chan.
-sinju walks over to a different table-
sinju: Is there a problem, my lady? You received the wrong order? Please accept my deepest apologies. I’ll bring the correct dish out for you right away.
In the meantime, I’ll treat you to whichever dessert you’d like… But keep it a secret from the other guests, ok? Otherwise I’ll get In trouble.
-sinju comes back over to saki’s table-
sinju: Sorry I had to leave so suddenly, Saki-chan.
saki: That’s ok, it’s no big deal. You looked like such a wonderful butler.
sinju: Is that so? Heheh, I’m glad. It’s surprisingly hard for me to tell how the guests see me. Being praised by you is a massive boost of motivation. I’d love to hear more of what you think of my butler act later.
saki: Sure. I’d like to celebrate your birthday later too.
sinju: Thanks. I’ll be waiting then, my lady.

Chapter 2 -starless kitchen, table area-
sinju: Sorry for the wait, Saki-chan. Thank you for coming today, here, this is for you.
saki: Woah, what a cute cupcake. But why?
sinju: I tried decorating it myself. It’s my birthday so I wanted to celebrate by eating some cake with you.
saki: It’s so cute that I almost feel bad eating it though. And shouldn’t I be the one giving you a gift?
sinju: It’s fine, it’s fine. Getting to spend this precious time with you is a gift in itself. Let’s eat then, shall we?
saki: Yes. Happy birthday, Sinju-san.
sinju: Thanks!
-time pass-
sinju: Oh right, by the way, I wanted to thank you for earlier.
saki: For earlier? I don’t remember doing anything though?
sinju: Remember? You praised me after I sorted out that other guest's problem. It made me really happy.
-cg
sinju: I said that it’s surprisingly hard for me to tell how the guests see me. I think that in the past I wouldn’t have been able to psyche myself up to solve that issue on the fly like that. But, now I’m able to. I handled it so naturally that I barely even had to think about it. Then I thought that I really have grown in ways that I haven’t realised yet.
saki: I see.
sinju: When I first came to Starless, I was still a teenager. And now I’m already 25! Time sure does fly.
saki: Fufu, it really does.
sinju: The years have gone by so quickly, but… so much has happened this past year, and I feel as though I’ve matured from it. And not just myself either, but so much has happened with Team P as a whole too. I want to try my very best this year too, so that I can hear you say that you think I’ve grown.
saki: I’ll be here to support you.
sinju: Thanks. Keep watching me, Saki-chan. Cause I’ll make sure I become a man that you’ll fall even harder for.

[BSTS] Hinata Initial 5* Card Story

Chapter 1
-starless hallway-
hinata: Siiiigh~…
saki: Hinata-san, have you been doing independent practice until this late?
hinata: Oh, Miss, it’s you.
saki: Are you ok? You seem down…
hinata: Mm~… Will you hear me out? Today just hasn’t been my day at all. I was doing terribly during practice and Mizuki scolded me, that’s why I stayed back to continue practicing on my own. But even that didn’t go well, I haven’t managed to improve at all. And now I’m the last one leaving, it’s so embarrassing~
saki: It’s embarrassing? Even though it’s only you practicing?
hinata: Rather than having the whole room to myself I prefer practicing while other people are with me.
saki: (Hmm, he seems to be in a pretty negative mood at the moment.)
hinata: Despite finally getting to stand on stage for ‘Kill ‘Em ALL’, at this rate I won’t get to perform in our next show as a standard member~
saki: We all have our off days, it doesn’t mean tomorrow will be the same—
hinata: But! That wasn’t the only thing that went wrong today! The gyūdon discount coupon that I decided to use for lunch today had expired.
-he steps closer-
hinata: The automatic door at the convenience store didn’t open and I walked right into it.
-he steps closer-
hinata: And the water bottle I bought just a minute ago wasn’t cold at all! It was lukewarm!
saki: Hinata-san, you’re too close…!
hinata: Ah, sorry.
-he steps back-
hinata: Sigh~… My horoscope must have had the worst possible luck today.
saki: It sounds like you’ve had an awful day, good work getting through it.
hinata: Yeah. I suppose I’ll head home now… Oh, but one good thing did happen to me. I got to see you!
saki: Me… That’s a good thing?
hinata: Duh. Just being with you puts me in a better mood. Say, how about we walk to the station together? Could you console my unlucky self?
-
Chapter 2
-street, night-
hinata: Do you come to this side of town often, Miss? If not then this would be a walk with sights you’re not used to seeing.
saki: Are you familiar with these streets, Hinata-san?
hinata: More or less. A lot of my favourite stores are along here, there’s a lot of places I’d recommend too.
saki: A favourite store huh, sounds nice.
hinata: Yeah, let’s see… Ah, that cafe over there is good! Their pancakes are super photogenic and delicious too. I’ll take you there sometime. Also off the main street there’s some quieter streets with interesting shops along them. Like general stores and second hand clothing stores.
I love browsing second hand clothing stores~ I especially like checking them along with shoe stores, sometimes you can stumble across rare sneakers. I feel super lucky whenever I pick up something really good. It’s like hunting for treasure, it’s fun.
saki: Is that so? It does sound like it’d be fun.
hinata: They have a ladies section too, I could try and coordinate an outfit for you from the second hand store and the shoe store~ C’mon, we should totally do it sometime. First browse the second hand stores and then eat those pancakes afterwards!
saki: Fufu, sounds good. I’ll be looking forward to it.
hinata: Yay! I can’t wait~!
saki: (That’s good, Hinata-san seems to have cheered up.)
-outside station, night-
saki: Thank you for escorting me.
hinata: Since we were busy chatting we got here before I knew it. Sorry for taking you on a little detour. It’s cause I wanted to talk with you… It’s lonely once you’re gone.
saki: Let’s talk again at Starless tomorrow.
hinata: Yeah… That’s right, we will but…
saki: …?
hinata: Sorry, it’s nothing! Then, I’ll head home after walking around a bit more, see you tomorrow.
saki: Huh? You’re going for another walk? It’s pretty late, it’s dangerous to walk around on your own.
hinata: It’s fine. No one pays any attention to me. Plus I haven’t been able to get in contact with my brother today, so I want to try calling him again. Make sure you head straight home, ok, Miss? See you~
saki: Ah, yes. See you.
saki: (I hope Hinata-san is ok…)
-
Chapter 3
-street, night-
saki: (What should I do? I was worried about Hinata-san so I ended up chasing after him but…)
saki: Where did he… Ah.

hinata: …Huh? Miss? What are you doing here? Weren’t you going home?
saki: I was, but you looked down, so…
hinata: So you followed me? You shouldn’t be doing that, you said it yourself that it’s dangerous to walk around alone at night. Wait no, sorry. I shouldn’t say that. I made you worry, right?
Thank you for checking on me, I’m happy to see you again. I’ll indulge you then, we can hang out for a little longer tonight. Let’s walk.
-time pass-
hinata: I’d just been doing laps around this area, but I guess it’s boring to keep walking around the same place, huh?
saki: It’s fine. Do you like this area?
hinata: It’s not like it’s my favourite or anything, it’s too loud. The cars are noisy, there’s drunks everywhere and all of the storefronts are really bright.
saki: It does have a pretty chaotic vibe to it…
hinata: Yeah, yeah. That’s why I like it.
saki: …Because it’s chaotic?
hinata: You don’t feel the same? When I’m feeling lonely it feels as though I’m the only person in the world. If I were in a place that’s quiet it would only make me feel even more alone.
But, this place is anything but quiet. No one pays me any mind, but I can still see that there’s other people around. Existing and doing their own thing. So whenever I’m feeling particularly lonely, this is probably where you’ll find me.
saki: Hinata-san…
hinata: It’s different today though.
saki: How so? Do you mean the atmosphere is different than usual?
hinata: It’s different cause you came and found me. Even though I had my earphones in, I still noticed and heard your voice clearly. I wonder why?
-
Chapter 4
-backstage-
hinata: Thanks for coming today, Miss!
saki: You look like you’re looking forward to tonight’s show, Hinata-san.
hinata: Yep, I’ll do my best! Thanks to you I’m feeling way better. It’s cause we walked around together. Ever since then my luck has been on the rise!
saki: Really? Surely you’re exaggerating.
hinata: Nope. The convenience store’s automatic door opened properly and my water bottle was cold. And after I practiced like my life depended on it, I feel as though I can do the performance now without making all those mistakes like I was before!
saki: That’s good to hear. It’s all because you worked hard.
hinata: Eheheh, you think so? Because of all that I’m in a great mood right now~ In the past, whenever I was feeling lonely I’d be hung up on it for days. That hasn’t happened as often since I joined Starless though. I think that it must be because you and the rest of the guys in Team B are here… That has to be it, right?
saki: Yes. I’m sure that’s why.
hinata: Eheheh, yeah! I really do love B’s stage. I’d always loved hip hop, but B’s shows were so amazing it was like love at first sight.
saki: You look as though you’re really enjoying yourself when you’re up on the stage too.
hinata: Yeah. I’m super duper happy to have been able to join the Team B that I had always looked up to! That’s why I’ll give my all at everything that I’m capable of. I’ll make sure my performance is at an even higher level today, so make sure you watch me!
saki: Understood. I’ll be supporting you!
hinata: No take backs ok? It’s a promise~!
-bloomed cg (hinata on the stage)
hinata: I want to perform my heart out on this stage, both today and from now on! Because Starless is where I belong.
If I can do well enough to get Miss and the rest of B to praise my performance, it would be the best day ever!

[BSTS] Deep dive into the different Zakuros
After S6Ch6 dropped I went a bit mad and looked back through most of zakus old chapters to see if there were any noticeable differences between their personalities, and to my surprise, there actually were
So here’s some ramblings and excerpts relating to the zakus we know

Zakuro Number 1:
4th Dec 2019 ~ 20th Oct 2020
From when he first joined Starless till the end of Showdown
Notes:
Escaped the Institution’s laboratory thanks to Master’s organisation raiding it
Is acquainted with Master
Is acquainted with Kei
Sin also knows who he is somehow
Is implied to have been sent to Starless by Iwami (Sin could tell who sent him when Zakuro completed a Paracelsus quote. Then later in S6CH5, Iwami quotes something similar.)
Knows a lot about Starless
Is looking for his black card and refers to it as a BLACKCARD
Has no smell
Says he has no memories but seems to be a bit more put together and know more compared to later Zakuro’s
Made Saki first listen to BLACKSTAR along with Sin
Is apparently not the original Zakuro
Zakuro Number 2:
20th Oct 2020 ~ 14th Nov 2022
From the end of Showdown till S4CH8 when he fell down the stairs
Notes
Retrieves a BLACKSTAR disc from the collapsed number 1 in an alleyway
Seems to remember even less than number 1
Is more forceful in wanting Saki to remember her memories
Is the most unhinged phase of Zakuro
Somehow oya’s more than the other Zakuro’s
Was in contact with somebody over the phone
Aogiri is particularly interested in this Zakuro
Laughing appears to be a tell that it’s no.2
He laughed when taking the disc from collapsed No.1
He laughed after falling down the stairs
He laughed when No.3 listened to the disc that Aogiri led him to btw
Zakuro Number 3:
14th Nov 2022 ~
From the stairs incident till now
Notes
The most desperate to retrieve his memories
Does not have much time left
Does not know where he came from
Was seemingly becoming less and less of an ‘empty shell’
Eventually merged memories with the previous Zakuro’s
Other things to note:
Zakuro’s weight is unknown, even after the medical check up event
Zakuro’s left forearm is always covered in some way in every one of his outfits, some examples:
The only time we have seen his forearm is in the medical check up events preview mv, which was most likely an error as his arm was still properly covered in the game
Also his Into Me outfit shows the most skin by far
Also this guy from Sin’s borderline reward card kinda resembles Zakuro. (we still have no idea who tf this guy is btw)

- S2 Finale End Cutscene
(No.1 is replaced by No.2)
The cutscene starts with someone blinking, their vision is blurry and they appear to be stumbling along the streets. They turn into an alleyway and see a collapsed figure along with a standing one.
It is still unclear whose pov we see this cutscene from. The only guesses I have are Saki or Zakuro no.3.
Saki because in the final Showdown chapter she is seen leaving Starless, and her seeing baby Kei when she sees the disc would make sense. What doesn’t make sense is why she would never bring this up again ever.
Zaku no.3 doesn’t have much evidence apart from the other two people in this cutscene being Zakuro’s, so why not one more? It might also be a case of us jumping between point of views, who knows.
-
S4CH8 Chapter 1
(No.2 is replaced by No.3)
Zakuro isn’t himself and is really sluggish during practice, Mokuren puts an end to the day's rehearsal. Zakuro goes out onto the balcony for some fresh air and Kasumi follows him to make sure he's ok.
kasumi: Zakuro, where are you~?
zakuro: …Dizziness… emptiness… (lyrics from Hakuchuumu)
kasumi: There you are, I think it's best you head hime today and rest~
zakuro: … ‘Am I me?’
kasumi: Zakuro! Stop, you're at the stairs!
zakuro: (slowly stumbles forwards and falls down the stairs)
kasumi: ZAKURO!!
zakuro: Ugh…
kasumi: Can you hear me!? Zakuro!
zakuro: Yeah… I can…
kasumi: Get it together! I’ll call an ambulance right away!
zakuro: …No need, I can get up myself… Guh…
kasumi: What are you saying? There's no way you can stand with injuries like this! I’m going to call someone else over, don't move, ok!?
-kasumi leaves-
zakuro: Uu… Ha… Fufu… Kuku… Kukuku… Haha, hahahahaa…

-time pass-
sotetsu: Was it really that bad of a fall?
kasumi: He didn't even try to shield himself on the way down. Anyways, we need to get him treated quickly…
sotetsu: Sounds pretty serious. And so, where is he?
kasumi: Huh?
-kasumi looks around-
kasumi: Zakuro!? Where are you, Zakuro!
sotetsu: C’mon this is a pretty tasteless prank.
kasumi: As if this would be a joke! Zakuro seriously fell down this staircase not a moment ago!
sotetsu: …Actually, there are signs that someone has had a dramatic fall here. There's blood stains, I doubt he’d be able to walk on his own.
kasumi: Exactly… He was in no condition to stand let alone walk anywhere.
-
chapter 2
Zakuro returns uninjured and says the fall wasn't as bad as it looked. (This is No.3)
-
SideB chapter 3
Sotetsu meets with Kasumi in an alleyway and reveals he has obtained video footage of Zakuro’s fall from the nearby buildings security camera. They live react to the footage together.
sotetsu: Alright, the camera is a bit far away but we can still see the balcony. Around what time did it happen again?
kasumi: It should be around here… There, Zakuro’s coming out onto the balcony.
sotetsu: He's stumbling… Oop. (shocked)
kasumi: (gasps) …!
sotetsu: …You're kidding, he stood up after that?
kasumi: Looks like he really did walk off into that nearby alley.
sotetsu: And that's where it ends, huh.
kasumi: …….
sotetsu: What to do. I’m not into fantasy.
kasumi: Honestly this is more like a horror.
sotetsu: It's true that there's no way you’d be able to stand on the stage right away after suffering injuries like that. And so, what on earth is that Zakuro who's singing like everything's fine?
kasumi: That's what I want to know too.
-
sideB chapter 4
Sotetsu sees Sin treating a small cut he got from a knife and asks Sin what he thinks the best way to quickly heal an injury is. Sin says with time.
Sotetsu then asks, what about a more serious injury? If an athlete were to injure themselves right before the big day, would any cutting edge treatment be able to help them heal in time to play?
Sin says that treatment as early as possible would help and that a person’s will plays a big part in whether it would be possible, but even if you were to replace limbs with prosthetics the human body still takes time to heal.
Sin then asks Sotetsu if he’s heard of Theseus's Paradox.
sin: Let’s say that we have a ship here. The sail is torn so it’s replaced with a new one and the mast is bent so it is also replaced. Every time part of the ship breaks, it is replaced with a new part. And once every part has been replaced, can you still really say that it is the same ship as it originally was anymore?
-
sideB chapter 5
Iwami warns Sotetsu to not bother looking into Zakuro and that nothing good will come from it. Iwami also gives Sotetsu his contact information and asks him to send him the video footage of Zakuro’s fall.
-
Zakuro Alt Stage

This card story is crazy looking back on it, the first chapter is number 2 struggling with the song and looking visibly worn out. While the second is number 3 because it takes place during the closing show.
Zakuro 3 repeats himself without knowing it because it wasn’t even him who originally said it the first time.
read here: https://www.tumblr.com/sunshine-overload/701174463474040832/bsts-zakuro-alt-stage-4-card-story
-
S5CH6 Chapter 3 sideA
kongou: That's fine. That's C's... Zakuro's stage costume right? I wouldn't even be able to tell it had frayed, you're pretty diligent.
aogiri: Once I see an imperfection in a piece of clothing I can't stop thinking about it. Furthermore this is an important stage outfit.
kongu: Something the matter?
aogiri: On the inside of the belt there's... Could this be a note? It looks like it's some kind of poem?
kongou: I wonder what's up with that. You can leave it with me if you'd like, I'll bring it to Zakuro. Since you're busy with performing and training.
aogiri: Is that ok? In that case, please do.
-
Chapter 5 sideB extra
kongou: Good work out there, Zakuro. Looking at that note again are you?
zakuro: Indeed. I am still yet to work out what it is.
kongou: Aogiri found that when he was repairing your costume didn't he? It seemed like it had been hidden away there on purpose. I thought it must've been something of importance to you…
zakuro: Hm... I have no idea either.
kongou: At first glance it looked like a lyric from a song.
zakuro: This arrangement of words does not exist in my repertoire. Even so, this definitely looks to be my handwriting.
kongou: Is that so? That's curious then. It's as if it's some kind of code.
zakuro: Hm, a code you say?
-zakuro suddenly looks serious-
kongou: Zakuro...?
zakuro: It looks as though a pebble has risen from the riverbank... This is my...
zakuro: ...!
zakuro: —I see, I see. In the end it appears this was a little love letter to myself.
kongou: What?
zakuro: Please excuse me, I will be heading out to continue this discussion on my own.
-time pass, old starless stage-
zakuro: Let's see here. Will a demon or a serpent appear? Or perhaps...
-looks at note-
zakuro: The answer that I'm searching for might very well be here.
-zakuro searches around the stage-
zakuro: Well well, this is…
-finds CD-
zakuro: There's no mistaking it, this is the jewel that I've been seeking.
-plays CD, blackstar bgm-
zakuro: —Aah yes this is undoubtedly it. This is what I had been lacking for so long. With this, my answer is finally...
-screen flashes-
zakuro: Ugh! ...Ugh...Tch…
-more flashes, zakuro falls to the ground-
zakuro: Ugh... Ah... Haha.... Hahhaha...
-black screen-
zakuro: ....Fufu.
-time pass, break room-
kongou: Oh Zakuro, you're back.
zakuro: Thanks to you I have taken back something very important.
kongou: You understood what the note meant then?
zakuro: Certainly, certainly. Why singing? Well that is once again because it is something that needs to be done. Moreover, simply asking 'why' was just a bubble on the surface. Therefore it is greatly different to that which is well known to most— It feels as though I've finally woken back up.
kongou: Zakuro...?
zakuro: Be as it may I too desire to carry out what it is that I must do.
kongou: I'm not really following what you're saying, but if you've found your own resolution then I'm glad.
zakuro: Yes yes, undoubtedly. From now on, I will leave it to him.
—end
(note: I believe this disc incident is when Zakuro regained memories of No.2 and merged with him. Possibly merging with No.1’s memories as well.)

[BSTS] Recent Zakuro Related Chapters

This is just a collection of recent chapters relating to Zakuro and Hinata’s situations as well as what the black cards and the ‘institution’ are doing.
basically just a bunch of wack ass lore, enjoy !
-
S6CH5 - Common Chapter 6 Extra
-shipping container yard, night-
iwami: This place will be scrapped soon too, though I hope I can make it in time.
master: You're still using this place?
iwami: Uwah– Don't conceal your presence around me, I’m just a regular old person y’know.
master: You don't intend to answer?
iwami: The situation seems to have changed quite a bit on your end. Have you stopped pretending to be a moderate faction? Wasn't the 'organisations’ goal to neutralise them?
master: Yes, that has not changed. But the situation has started to move very quickly, so I intervened.

iwami: Haven't you got your cause and effect mixed up there? It's cause you intervened that things started moving.
master: If that's what it looks like to you, then that's fine. Whichever path you take, nothing can be stopped anymore.
iwami: You and Kei really are like teacher like student. You don't care what other people think and you don't explain anything either. You only devote yourselves to your goal.
master: Kei is already walking down a different path to me. He is not opposed to going against the organisation.
iwami: His goal hasn't changed from when he was safeguarded by the organisation until now. It's always been the same.
Sigh, alas there's always a flipside to a nice conversation. I was told by youngsters all the time. “The research laboratories vary greatly, you should do proper research into them first.” “You should question cutting edge laboratories even more than the scouts.”
master: That's because a regular person can't sniff out whether or not it's a laboratory under the institution's influence. Back then and now still, you're a regular person. The Miki couple are the same.
iwami: True but still. We were just lucky to have been saved by your organisation.
master: You should be grateful that coincidence occured. At the time you had no idea that your research was being used for illegal experiments.
iwami: Whether my research was used with or without my consent makes no difference. Either way, I wasn't able to destroy and discard everything.
A dosage of medication that's too strong will become poison. There was always a chance the research would be started up again, and that's exactly what happened.
master: Was the reason you also continued your research after escaping the institution really because you wanted to put an end to it all?
iwami: I wanted to fix things before the institution found me. Except I wasn't able to hide myself completely, even with your organisation's help. And ultimately, they found me.
I never should've become an IT engineer, I should've just become a farmer in the countryside or something…

master: But there's no way you would've done that. Throwing everything away is difficult.
iwami: I should've at least been a lower rank engineer. Then I could've just ignored it if any of the systems went up in flames.
master: It's too late for that now, but back then what would've been your best option yes. Including when the institution invited you to the project.
iwami: Is the institution the source of that too?
master: It's possible. You should know already that the institution will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, what they want is complete control over BLACKCARD.
iwami: Even though we implemented the two bracket system to confuse them, we're out of time. They seemed to be pretty fooled by the camouflaged dark net though.
master: You didn't truly believe that you could hide the primary control system there forever, did you?
iwami: That's why the institution sent an agent of theirs to Starless.
master: If you have somebody with inside knowledge, it's easy to obtain information and respond if the worst were to occur.
iwami: I managed to buy enough time though.
master: For how long will they be saved this time?
iwami: I’m not sure, I want to say for as long as possible but… My issue wasn't realised. Also, the institution warped my research, it'll be tough to deal with the damage that's been done.
master: Is it already too late for Hinata then? is he aware of this?
iwami: …One of the two is aware.
master: It's the beginning of the end, huh?
iwami: I’m not the one who'll start the end. I told you, I’m already out of time.
master: Then, who will?
iwami: It's the prince's role to wake the sleeping princess, isn't it? Though all of them are just thugs, not princes.

S6CH5 - SideB Chapter 5
Iwami hands Saki a note to hand over to Zakuro because Iwami ‘has no way of contacting him’. Upon reading the note, Zakuro appears bothered.
-
S6CH5 - SideB Chapter 6
-street, night-
zakuro: Good work today. Your stage was great once again.
hinata: Woah you really showed up.
zakuro: Oh my, that face. You look as though you weren't expecting me to meet with you.
hinata: My brother trusted you would come but I wasn't so sure.
zakuro: Now then, here is the item that you requested. The disc that was mentioned in Iwami-san’s note.

zakuro: However before I hand it over to you, let's discuss. This is an important matter after all.
hinata: Are you trying to ask how Iwa-san knew that you had that disc?
zakuro: No, what I want to ask is why you need this disc. The one who created this disc and left it behind at the old Starless building was likely Iwami-san.
Another thing I don't understand is why Iwami-san himself wants it. Can he not just create another?
hinata: Iwa-san said he can't make them anymore. He said it's a problem of environment and lack of materials.
zakuro: Environment and lack of materials. I see, there must be some reason for that. Indeed, indeed. Circumstances have changed and quite some time has passed, it's true.
hinata: Iwa-san is only familiar with the first research stage. That's something that only happened at the first research lab.

zakuro: Hm, if you're going to talk about that I’d be careful. Is this why you chose a crowded place to speak with me?
hinata: Yeah. Not a single person passing by is interested in us, right? It's as if you and I can't afford to be paying attention to anything else…
My brother told me that we don't have much time left. You don't have any time left either, do you? We're the same.
zakuro: The same? You and I? Iwami-san said something similar to me. That we do not have much time left.
hinata: Iwa-san is different from us though. You should know that. I mean, we're of the same class, aren't we? You’re an early development line from the second stage of research.
zakuro: ……

hinata: Everyone at the lab said that it was a successful line that had been started up twice.
-hinata snatches the disc from zakuro-
hinata: I’ll be taking this disc. Iwa-san and my brother both told me that if I have this I might last longer.

zakuro: When you said that we're of the same class, does that mean that you also escaped from the research laboratory?
hinata: Yeah. The final development line of stage two, that was us twins. We were both failures, apparently the research hit a dead end. So, that's why we ran away before we died. You did the same, right?
zakuro: …Very well, I will let you have that disc. I’ll see you again at Starless tomorrow. Good night, Hinata.
hinata: See ya, Zakuro.
-hinata leaves-
zakuro: At the very least, I hope that tomorrow comes… As there is not much else I can do besides wish for that.
–end
(note: It was confirmed in a different recent chapter that Hinata and his brother do indeed share the same body.)
-
S6 C Medley - Chapter 6
-backstage rooms-
kasumi: ……. (sad)
saki: Kasumi-san, everyone else has already headed back to Starless.
kasumi: Ah, yeah.
saki: Are you ok? You look pale.
kasumi: No, it's just… I handed the documents over to the police.
saki: What happened?
kasumi: There was definitive proof regarding the incident that killed my parents but… There was still no indication of where my sister is. Those documents definitely should have contained her whereabouts. All I know is that she was brought to Tokyo, but I need more information than that.
saki: No way…
kasumi: ……. (sad)
-aogiri appears-
aogiri: That's because she signed a contract in order to escape.
saki: Aogiri-san…
aogiri: I’m sorry for interrupting your conversation, however I thought it would be best to inform you of this. I prepared a copy of her contract for you, here.
kasumi: This contract holder's name… This date… Why on earth do you have access to my sister’s contract? This is dated the day after she went missing.

saki: What!? What does that mean?
aogiri: That is a basic contract for a certain clinical trial. Your sister signed it and participated in the trial. That contract doesn't contain all of the details, however that clinical trial also involves plastic surgery. I don't know what happened after she signed it, but once the trial was completed, she likely started going by a different name.
kasumi: But why would she… No, it was in order to escape, right? It's like how I’ve been living without drawing any attention to myself.
aogiri: That is all the information that I can give you.
-
(note: Aogiri has been confirmed to be the spy that was sent by the institution.)
-
S6CH6 - SideB Chapter 2-2
-starless outside balcony-
aogiri: …….
aogiri: ‘Dizziness, emptiness, am I me?’ … I don't get it.
zakuro: Those were my final words. You should know them well.
aogiri: You're No.2? Have you finally decided to stop avoiding me then?

zakuro: Me avoiding you? Or was it you avoiding me?
aogiri: True, I suppose I was the one avoiding you. You know the reason why, don't you? No, you wouldn't. Because you're not No.2.
zakuro: Hm hm, it appears you figured something out. Though now that you mentioned it, No.2 was different, nothing but an illogical jester.
Then allow me to ask you instead. Do you know what is necessary in order for ‘Zakuro’ to become me?
aogiri: Hmm, that's almost like a philosophical question. What is needed for someone to be themselves?
zakuro: In any case, No.2 is already No.3, and that is who is standing before you now.
The No.2 that you are oh so obsessed with is already swaying between the waves of the past. The second ‘Zakuro’... Hm.
Shall we proceed with our exchange of information then? I’d like to know about No.2 please.
aogiri: So you want the information that I have on No.2? What will you give me in exchange? I’m not going to agree to say anything if it is of no benefit to me.

zakuro: I may decide to remember the memories of No.2 that you are after. You’re wavering and may just need them, am I right, Aogiri?
aogiri: Me? Wavering? Do I really appear to be lost? I see, how intriguing. You cannot guarantee that you even have the memories either.
Let's make the value of the information equal then. Just the chance of knowing No.2’s past is too weak of a bargain.
Why did No.1 run from the institution? Does No.3 even remember where he came from? If you can answer this set of questions, then I will tell you the information that I have on No.2.
zakuro: My, what a firm way of negotiating. Now I’m even more concerned about just how different No.2 is.
I would like to agree to your terms, however, just how well acquainted are you with ‘Zakuro’?
aogiri: Shh.
-lico steps out onto the balcony-
lico: —Uwah, Aogiri!?

zakuro: Oh my, Lico. Are you here to smoke? That was quite an overblown reaction.
lico: I didn't think anybody was out here. You don't mind if I smoke, right?
aogiri: Go ahead. Apologies for spooking you.
lico: We ran into each other here the other day as well remember? That's why I was so surprised, my bad. If you two were in the middle of something I can go elsewhere.
zakuro: Thank you for your concern but we just finished up our conversation.
aogiri: Yes, indeed. Then, I will speak with you again soon, Zakuro.
-zaku and aog leave-
lico: …Maybe I should stop coming out here to smoke.
–end
-
S6CH6 - SideA Chapter 5
-shrine entrance, night-
zakuro: …Do you have business with me?
master: Yes, it has turned out as such. What are you doing here?

zakuro: Let's say I’m here to pray, to this subordinate shrine of performing arts.
master: Requesting help from the Gods are you? Interesting.
zakuro: Hm, you look skeptical. What are you unsatisfied with?
master: Let me ask you a question then. Who on earth are you?
zakuro: Who am I? I thought you were already aware?
master: The one that I know, to be specific, is only the first one of you.
zakuro: Hm hm, so you want specifics? Then allow me to express my gratitude to you as the third. I’m thankful for when you raided the institution’s research laboratory back then. It's thanks to your organisation’s interference that I was able to escape.
master: ……..

zakuro: You should have already heard from Kei, no? That I am No.3.
master: You're self aware of the fact that you're No.3?
zakuro: What are you trying to say? How about we recap for fun, shall we?
The me who first came to Starless, the one that you know, is No.1.
And then, after Showdown, he switched out with No.2.
The switch to No.3 was set up like an accident. No.2 tumbled down the stairs and then I took his place.
master: ……..
zakuro: My, you still don't look satisfied with that explanation. You’re aware of it too, aren't you? That ‘Zakuro No.1’ wasn't the original either.
master: That's not the part I’m concerned about.
zakuro: Oh? Then do tell, what is it?
master: …Where did No.2 and No.3 come from?
zakuro: Ngh….

master: No.1 escaped from the research laboratory. ‘Zakuro’, those with the same face and no memories– Where did they come from, and why did you trade places?
You don't have the memories to answer that question either, do you? When and where did you inherit your memories from?
-master leaves-
zakuro: …Where did we come from? Who are we— And where are we going?

[BSTS] Heath Birthday 2025 4* Card Story

Chapter 1 -behind starless, day-
heath: You’re here pretty early today, Saki.
saki: Oh, Heath-san— Woah, what’s the occasion? You have so many bouquets with you.
heath: They’re for decorating the lobby. I was tasked with going to buy them. I couldn’t carry them all so the store lent me a cart, it would’ve been better if someone else came with me. Sorry for the trouble, but could you open the door for me?
saki: Of course. Do you want me to carry some of the bouquets too?
heath: No, it’s fine. I’m only going to be pushing it to the office.
saki: Right. It’s probably best not to disturb the pile either. They might all fall out.
heath: Ah, actually, could you hold onto this for me? It’s a plum tree branch.
saki: Oh, sure. Will this be displayed in the lobby as well?
heath: No, it’s just something that I picked up myself at the nearby shrine. It caught my eye, I thought it was pretty.
saki: Woah, you’re right, the flowers are in bloom. It is the season for it after all.
heath: On the top of calendars February is marked as Spring, but it doesn’t really feel like it when it’s still this cold.
saki: Risshun, right? The fourth of February is the beginning of Spring according to the traditional Japanese calendar.
heath: Yeah. It falls near my birthday, so I remember it well. Risshun is always printed on the calendar, so whenever I see that it’s coming up I remember my own birthday is coming up as well.
saki: Isn’t that lovely? It’s as if your birthday is bringing Spring to us.
heath: As if I’m… bringing Spring? That’s a nice thought. I can announce the coming of Spring to you.
-time pass, office-
heath: Thank you for helping me out. Um, I actually have one other thing I’d like you to help me with, is that alright?
saki: Sure, what is it?
heath: I have another duty that I need to fulfill. For the rest of the month I’m going to be your butler, so I want to create a nice and relaxing atmosphere that ‘my lady’ will enjoy.
-
Chapter 2 -office-
saki: (Heath-san is taking a while to come back to the floor, I hope everything is ok.)
-cg
heath: Sorry for making you wait, I couldn’t find the pruning shears anywhere, so getting things ready has taken me longer than expected. I wanted to cut the plum tree branch down so I can display it in a vase.
saki: Wow, what a good idea.
heath: I’ve never done this sort of thing before though, so I’d like for you to check everything looks nice for me. The branch is so thin, so I need to be careful with where I cut it… Like this, I think?
saki: That looks good, if you cut the other side down a little bit more too everything will be balanced.
heath: Got it. Next I need to pick a vase that compliments its height… How about this one?
saki: Ah, that one’s perfect!
heath: Alright, it’s complete. Thanks, Saki. I’ll display this vase.
saki: Fufu, I’m glad it turned out nicely.
heath: Having you watching was a big help. This sort of thing is surprisingly fun. I was a little nervous while making the cuts though.
saki: You must be even more pleased that it turned out well then.
heath: Not being able to redo it once it’s been cut. It was a similar type of nervousness to that before getting on the stage. I want to make sure I entertain you with both my shows and my hospitality.
saki: Heath-san…
heath: Call out to me once the store is open. I’ll escort you to your table that’ll be decorated with these plum blossoms.
-starless restaurant area-
heath: Welcome home, my lady. Please come right this way. I prepared this vase in order to bring Spring to you. Is it to your liking?
saki: Thank you for such a lovely arrangement of blossoms. It really feels as though Spring has bloomed.
heath: I’m glad. I’m not very good at this butler service thing, but I’m glad I tried to do something for it in my own way. Your smile just now was the best present I could have received. This has become an unforgettable birthday.
saki: Same here. Happy birthday, Heath-san.
heath: Thank you. As thanks I will grant you anything that you’d like, your wish is my command.
-heath steps closer-
heath: Say, my lady. Did I sound like a proper butler just now?

[BSTS] Menou Birthday 2025 4* Card Story

Chapter 1 -starless restaurant area-
-menou bows-
menou: Welcome home, my lady. I am most glad to see you have returned. After all, you are my one and only master. Ah, wait, if I speak to you like this I’ll be scolded again.
saki: Scolded? By who?
menou: The head butler. He’s always been especially strict with me. Nevermind that though, would you like to have something to eat?
saki: Yes, let’s see… I’m not sure which dessert to order.
menou: In that case how about I guess what it is that you can’t decide between? Hmm… You’re wavering between ordering the roll cake or the mousse, correct?
choice: that’s right / that’s wrong
>that’s right
saki: Wow! You guessed right!
menou: I thought so. I’ve been serving you for as long as I can remember, so I can tell what you’re thinking, my lady.
saki: As long as you can remember…?
menou: Fufu, please take your time to decide which dessert you’d like to order. That way I can stay by your side longer. Ah, the head butler is glaring at me. He hates it when I cling to you.
saki: Who is the head butler?
menou: Say, my lady, that guy must be convinced that I’m just ignoring my work, right?
saki: Huh? Um, I suppose so…?
menou: Speaking of, have you decided which dessert you’d like?
saki: Yes, I have. I’d like to order this please.
menou: Understood. I shall bring it out to you, so please wait a moment.
-menou bows-
menou: —My lady. We’ll be celebrating my birthday together today, won’t we? Just the two of us. You suggested we do so the other day, remember?
saki: Of course I’ll celebrate with you. But, I’m not sure I recall we had a conversation like that…?
menou: We did. On that beautiful night with the full moon illuminating us. I was so happy that I couldn’t get a wink of sleep that night. I’ll be waiting for you at the place we agreed on. I trust that you’ll come.
-menou leaves-
saki: N-night with the full moon…?
saki: (There isn’t a head butler and we never made any plans…)
saki: …Could it be that Menou-san has been acting this entire time?
-
Chapter 2 -break room-
-menou bows-
menou: I’m sorry for the wait, my lady. Were you able to slip out without the head butler noticing you?
saki: Um… Yes, I think we should be fine.
menou: That’s good. If he knew that I’d taken you away from the house he’d scold me again. So, now that we’re finally all alone, you’ll wish me a happy birthday, yes?
saki: Of course. Happy birthday, Menou-san.
menou: Thank you. Fufu, I’m so happy. I really wanted to hear you say that. Ever since I was a child I haven’t had anyone but you, my lady.
saki: Um, Menou-san…
menou: Yes, what is it?
saki: This is all an act, right?
-menou looks surprised for a moment-
menou: Ahaha, so you already noticed? I wanted to become your butler, so that’s what I’ve been acting as. The setting is that I’ve been your butler ever since I was young, serving you as we grew up alongside each other.
saki: I knew it! I didn’t remember making plans and no one here is a head butler, I wasn’t following at all so I was surprised.
menou: And yet, you still played along, didn’t you? It made me happy. It’s been fun in a refreshing way. I’ve played butler roles in our shows before, but I’ve never been able to act alongside you directly before.
-cg
menou: Sigh, I wish my break would end sooner.
saki: Huh? But didn’t your break just start?
menou: Every second spent on my break is a waste. Since I only get to be a butler for the duration of this month, right? My butler and you as his master only get to meet for this one month.
saki: It’s because you want to keep acting then? That’s just like you, Menou-san. However, the store has been busy, hasn’t it? Please rest properly while you can.
menou: Oka~y.
-cg gone
menou: Well, it’s not like I mind being on break whilst you’re with me. I’ve had fun acting with you, it’s the best birthday present I could’ve received. Have you enjoyed it too?
saki: Well, it’s not like I’ve had any acting experience outside of this.
menou: You’ll keep up the present then, right? Once we’re back in the hall I’d like for you to be my master who is also my childhood friend. That’s ok with you, isn’t it? My cute lady. My one and only.
—end
-
other choice:
>that’s wrong
saki: Oh, uh, no. I was looking at the pudding or the chocolate cake.
menou: That’s strange. It’s rare that I get something wrong when it comes to you, my lady. I must not have trained diligently enough. I’ll make sure to observe you more intently from now on.
saki: Huh? More intently…!?
menou: Fufu, please take your time to decide which dessert you’d like to order. That way I can stay by your side longer.

[BSTS] Sinju S6CH1 5* Reward Card Story
Chapter 1
-rehearsal room-
rindou: We’ll stop here for today. Good work.
-rindou leaves-
menou: Sinju, are you ok?
sinju: (panting) I’m— I’m fine… I just need to lay down for a bit.
menou: Yeah, you do that. I’m at my physical limit too…
nekome: Maica, could you pass me my water bottle pwease~?
maica: Could you not say that in such a cutesy tone? It’s annoying. Here, take it.
-throws water bottle at him-
nekome: What, was I too direct?
menou: Only cats are allowed to think that they’re cute enough to get anything they want~
nekome: How come I’m getting dissed now!?
sinju: Heheheh…
maica: Here, Sinju. Make sure you drink some water too.
sinju: Thanks. Sorry for making you bring me the bottle.
maica: Don’t forget to pace yourself. If your body is exhausted then you won’t be able to concentrate properly either.
sinju: Yeah… Just trying to give it my all is making me go in circles. I’m aware of that myself.
menou: You were aware of it? I thought you just hadn’t noticed.
maica: Menou.
sinju: I’m aware of it but I got impatient that I wasn’t improving. I really haven’t grown at all. I’m sorry to all of you as well, you always have to help me out.
menou: I don’t mind acting the same part over and over, it’s fun. But are you really ok with things continuing like this, Sinju?
sinju: No, it’s not good. I need to pull myself together…
maica: That’s not the problem here. You’re worried about something right? You can talk to us, you know.
sinju: You guys…
nekome: Yeah, how would you two overcome Sinju’s problem? You should try telling him. You two would try and adapt to how Rindou is doing things right now, wouldn’t you?
maica: Well yeah, but I can understand being worried about him. You can never fully understand what another person is thinking. I would just keep singing as I always have though.
menou: I’m not hard on myself so I don’t know. There’s not really anything I’d need to overcome. However, acting with Rindou the way he is at the moment is really fun.
nekome: Someone who only cares about singing and someone who only cares about acting huh…
sinju: You guys are both amazing, you’re so dedicated.
nekome: Of course that’s the part you’d admire, Sinju.
sinju: What, it’s cause it really is amazing. Alright, looks like I can move again. I’m gonna go shower, see ya.
-sinju leaves-
menou: How come you didn’t give your own input, Nekome? About how you’d overcome something.
nekome: Cause I never take things too seriously anyways.
maica: Are you sure it’s not cause you’re scared? You know that you’re not someone dependable, right?
nekome: Hey now~ No need to stab me where it hurts!
-
Chapter 2
-starless backrooms-
nekome: Hey, Saki-chan. Could you come with me for a bit?
saki: Where to?
sinju: To where Sinju is. Something seems to be on his mind recently.
saki: Ok, sure thing.
nekome: Thanks, you’re a huge help~ I’m not confident the conversation will go well if it's just me talking to him.
-behind starless, evening-
nekome: Sorry to call you out to a place like this~
sinju: Ah, you can sit beside me on the curb here, Saki-chan. I’ll put my handkerchief down for you.
saki: Oh, you didn’t have to do that. Thank you.
sinju: Still, I didn’t think you two would want to talk to me together.
nekome: I asked Saki-chan to come along. I wanted to talk a bit about the state of Team P at the moment.
sinju: I’m always letting everyone see my weaknesses, so that’s why I figured I’d give it my all this time…
nekome: You are definitely trying your hardest, but I think it’s ok to reach out to those around you for help when you need it.
sinju: But I hadn’t memorised the choreography and you guys all saw that.
nekome: Oh come now, that’s no big deal. Back in the old Starless era I performed a show without knowing the choreography at all.
saki: Huh? You mean you just got onto the stage without knowing anything about the show?
sinju: Heh, I remember that. It was a performance of ‘The Light is Here’ wasn’t it?
nekome: Yeah! Sotetsu who played the role of the monster had ditched and back then Kasumi wasn’t around to save our asses.
sinju: And you had been skipping out on your lessons as the understudy, hadn’t you?
nekome: I just kept putting off learning it all until later that’s all.
saki: Oh no…! So then what happened after that?
nekome: It was a complete mess of a show so I don’t even remember it fully myself.
sinju: Mizuki ignored the script entirely and had one big fight scene with Nekome.
nekome: I thought it turned out fine, but I do feel bad for Ginsei. He was looking like he was at his wits end.
sinju: But still, in the end Rindou managed to pull everything together and make it a coherent show.
nekome: Yeah, he effortlessly broke up the fight like it was supposed to be part of the performance.
sinju: It was nothing short of magic. He really made it all seem like it was part of the stage direction. As expected of Team P’s leader, I— Oh, right… Right after that was when…
saki: Sinju-san?
sinju: Ah, oh, no it’s nothing. A lot happened at the previous Starless, that’s all.
nekome: In comparison the current Starless is way more earnest.
saki: I think that Sinju-san is working earnestly as well.
sinju: You two…
nekome: It’s already been five years since the reopening here. Anything that happened at old Starless was a long time ago.
sinju: You came back too, Nekome.
nekome: Yeah, I really am sorry about disappearing like that. I caused everybody all sorts of trouble. I didn’t even explain where I’d been yet you all accepted me back with open arms. I’m thankful for that. A lot happened between us too huh, Sinju? Like how we were double casted during ‘A Drop of a Secret’.
sinju: Back then I wasn’t feeling well and I caused a lot of trouble. I’m sorry about that.
nekome: Nah, that was nothing. I was the one that caused the most trouble for you all.
sinju: Huh? No that’s not true, I was way more…
saki: Fufu, it’s like you two are having an apology battle.
sinju: Now that you mention it, all we’re ever doing is apologising to each other. Thank you, you two, I ended up venting a bit but… I really was happy to hear that you think I’m earnestly working on myself.
nekome: I’m glad I brought you along, Saki-chan. I don’t think we would’ve been able to come to a conclusion on our own.
sinju: That may be true. Thanks so much, Saki-chan.
-
(note: Team P’s show is based on the opera ‘Andrea Chénier’. Maddalena is the name of the heroine and Menou plays the role of a spy.)
-
Chapter 3
-alleyway, day-
menou: Hey, over here, Saki-chan~
saki: Ah, Men—
menou: Shh. Don’t say my name, you never know who could be listening.
saki: W-what do you mean?
menou: I’m a spy for the republican government remember? I can’t do my job anymore if my true identity is revealed.
saki: A spy for the… republican government…?
menou: Now that I’ve confirmed my target's crime we’re going to go and arrest him.
saki: Huh? What do you mean we? Wait a minute—
menou: Shh. Be quiet or they’ll spot us. Ok, let’s go, make sure you don’t let go of my hand. Come with me.
saki: (W-where are we going? I wonder if everything is ok… Hm?)
menou: Stop right there. Raise your hands above your head and don’t speak. That’s it, now turn around slowly.
-a shocked sinju turns around-
menou: Ta-daa. I caught the criminal.
sinju: Menou…! Don’t ‘ta-daa’ me!
menou: What? I’m a republican spy, I must seize those who are on my target list. Look, I already caught Maddalena as well.
sinju: You’re taking the act too far, Menou! I’m sorry he dragged you along, Saki-chan.
saki: Ahaha, I missed my chance to get away and ended up coming along.
sinju: It’s ok to refuse, you know. You’re always way too nice, Saki-chan.
menou: Hm? Sinju? You’re looking a little more fired up. Have you stopped worrying about whatever was on your mind? Usually you’re all depressed if P’s mood is bad.
sinju: You really don’t mince your words do you, Menou? I am still a bit conflicted but I think I'll keep trying my best even more than before. Right, Saki-chan?
saki: Yes. You’re earnestly doing your best.
sinju: I’m going to aim to make sure I do everything properly. So, let’s switch. Here, Saki-chan, let go of Menou’s hand and take mine instead. Let’s go, I’ll help you escape from the spy’s grasp!
-they run off together-
menou: Ah, they got away! I was tricked~
-
(note: Sinju plays the role of Roucher, who is a good friend of Chénier (played by Maica) while Nekome plays the role of Bersi, originally a woman but genderbent for the Starless version, he is Maddalena's servant/butler.)
-
Chapter 4
-rehearsal room-
sinju: Thanks for coming early to practice with me, Nekome.
nekome: No worries, this is nothing. Is it ok if the spy Menou isn’t here for our scene though?
sinju: It’s fine. I want to focus on my own role anyways.
sinju: (takes deep breath)
sinju: "—Bersi, why are you still at Maddalena’s side?"
nekome: (That isn’t one of his lines… Is he doing a character study? I see.)
-bloomed cg
sinju: "That woman is no longer a noble, so you should also have no need to remain a noble’s servant."
nekome: "Because she is the one that I must serve. Whether she is a noble or not does not matter."
-scene change-
sinju: "Chénier is not the kind of man who would lay down his life in a struggle with the revolutionary army!"
nekome: "All I wish is for my lady to be happy. That is the only way I can repay her for her kindness, and is my only wish."
-scene change-
sinju: "Is there really a path that leads to your master and my best friend’s happiness?"
nekome: "There was, if that damn traitor Gérard did not interfere."
sinju: "Traitor?"
nekome: "The man who threw himself into the revolution and set spies loose all over Paris in order to take my lady for himself. If that doesn’t make him a traitor, then what else am I supposed to call him!?"
-cg gone-
nekome: …Sorry, I went a bit overboard.
sinju: Right, I don’t get the feeling that Gérard is a traitor.
nekome: I said it without thinking… I’m gonna take a short break.
sinju: It happens, we were going through all the scenes continuously after all. Here, water.
nekome: Thanks.
sinju: Thank you too. I feel as though I’ve finally found my own version of Roucher.
nekome: Wouldn’t practicing with Rindou have been better?
sinju: Nah, if I were practicing with Rindou I’d probably try to act above my abilities and push myself too hard. Not to mention Rindou has already perfected his Gérard.
nekome: You really do trust Rindou, don’t you? Or rather, you really respect him.
sinju: I’ve always admired Rindou. I want to catch up to him, so I need to work on myself.
nekome: So you’re saying it’s not just simply respect?
sinju: I don’t know, I just—
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
-present, rehearsal room-
sinju: I also want to aim for creating a new Team P. No matter where that goal ends up taking us.

[BSTS] Main Story S6CH1 'Our Hands Can't Reach Tomorrow' - Final
Part 3
SideA Chapter 7
-locker room-
sinju: Aogiri, thank you for your help the other day.
aogiri: The other day?
sinju: When Saki-chan wasn't feeling well. I had to perform so I wasn't able to see her again after that.
aogiri: I didn't do anything though. You noticed something was wrong and alerted the other staff members. And I just happened to be one of them. I’m aware that she is a very special guest, so I’m glad I could be of assistance.
sinju: Yeah, but still, thanks for lending a hand. I do wonder if she's really ok though, I’m worried. I really can't handle seeing someone collapse in front of me.
aogiri: Has that happened before?
sinju: …Yeah. At the time I felt so useless, it's like there was nothing I could do.
-ran runs in-
ran: Yo, Sinju, Aogiri, good mornin’! Did somethin’ happen? Ya both look so serious.
Ah, by the way Sinju, what happened after that conversation we had the other day? Y’know, the one about that therapy for Rindou.
sinju: Hey hold on a second Ran, you're saying that way too loudly!

ran: Ahahaha, oopsie sorry sorry. Aogiri, pretend ya didn't hear anythin’ just now, kay~?
aogiri: I don't mind. I am curious though.
ran: It's best ya keep quiet and let it go.
aogiri: Understood. I’ll be heading off to my floor shift then.
-aogiri leaves (but not really)-
sinju: I spoke with Nekome about it, but apparently some kind of card is required.
ran: A black card?
sinju: Yeah, I think? I don't really remember that part. Is it something really important?
-aogiri nearby eavesdropping-
aogiri: (A black card…?)

SideA Chapter 8
-rehearsed room-
rindou: Menou, are you using the rehearsal room? Could you let me use half of it?
menou: Sure. Which scene are you going to practice?
rindou: The final scene, I suppose. I want to work on the scene where I watch Chénier and Maddalena’s execution.
menou: The scene where they get executed by the guillotine is expressed purely through your acting after all.
rindou: I feel as though I’m still not fully expressing the depths of Gérard’s despair.

menou: Of course you aren't, it's cause you're still stepping on the brakes.
rindou: …You think I’m still holding myself back?
menou: You still aren't fully micromanaging us. Like you did once before, a long time ago, remember? You should stop being so roundabout and just give us orders as you see fit.
rindou: I don't want to create a show all by myself. That feeling has not changed. The stage that I wish for is one that is created together by everyone who is standing upon it.
menou: Hm? Meaning that you want everyone else to have the same resolve as you? I see. So that is your ‘desire’ then, huh? However, I don't have the same resolve as you, my ‘desire’ is different.
rindou: Desire, huh? You sure do love that word.
menou: It's basically Starless’ slogan. Since this store is where you can have your desires granted. So you should also do whatever you want, Rindou.
rindou: I plan to. I’m already determined to take this path.
menou: I hope everyone can share the same sentiment. I wonder if I’m prepared myself.
rindou: I’d like for you to try. In order to create our new Team P.
menou: I’m looking forward to seeing what shape this new P that you're aiming for will take.
rindou: Just aiming for it is not enough.
menou: Of course, that's just how desire is after all.

SideB Chapter 7
-near old starless, day-
nekome: (sigh) Why did I bother coming here… It's not like there's anything I can do either way.
iwami: Exactly, there is nothing left here anymore.
nekome: Kou-san. Why are you here?
iwami: Kokuyou said some disturbing stuff to me, so I just wanted to check on the place.
nekome: Kokuyou did?
iwami: There's definitely one thing I prefer about him compared to you. While you extort me for money, Kokuyou at least pays for his meal and drinks himself.
nekome: Did you two talk?
iwami: He asked me what I was scheming and why I left the old Starless building as is. I didn't answer him and yet, can you guess what he said next?
nekome: He said he was gonna destroy it, didn't he?
iwami: Bingo.
nekome: That's just like him. You wouldn't be able to bear it if it got destroyed, would you, Kou-san?

iwami: There's nothing here anymore, it's just an empty shell.
nekome: Kokuyou doesn't believe that though, does he? I don't even believe you when you say stuff like that.
iwami: Am I really that untrustworthy? Even though the three of us built Starless together. When it comes to you guys, you treat the Miki-san’s way more fondly than me.
nekome: Can you blame us? You’ve always been shady from the start. The reason I poked the bear is because I thought that.
iwami: It's rare hearing you talk about this. Curiosity killed the cat. That phrase really suits you perfectly.
nekome: I have something that I’d like to ask you.
iwami: Another rare occurrence.
nekome: Um well, it's about the use of BLACKSTAR. Can that change a person's personality? Not straight away either, but sometime after?
iwami: Sometime after? Meaning after the treatment? Hm…
nekome: Don't act ignorant and just tell me.
iwami: There's a possibility of it happening if it was an incomplete operation. If you want to know more about that, I suggest you observe Hinata more closely.
nekome: Huh? Hinata?

iwami: Yeah, so there’s two things you owe me for now, huh? You better pay me back soon.
nekome: I didn't plan to owe you anything.

SideB Chapter 8
-alleyway, day-
zakuro: Hm. Hm hm hm. This appears to be beyond my capabilities. I suppose I shall call in someone who can deal with it.
-time pass-
sotetsu: And so that's why you called us? You just want to use us for your own benefit.
kasumi: It is true that public safety being unstable in this area would be trouble for us though. Let's do our best, Sotetsu.
sotetsu: Yeah yeah, can't be helped. Zakuro, warn Saki not to come near here.
zakuro: Of course, a jester such as I can handle that much. Leave the little bird to me.
sotetsu: Welp, we’ll be right back then. Make sure you back me up, Kasumi.
kasumi: Of course~
-sotetsu and kasumi leave-
zakuro: Oh dear, I wonder who those thugs are after. The little bird? Or perhaps myself? In the end I can only leave it to the experts, being in the vicinity of a fight scene isn't my thing. I’ll leave the violence to those two and instead go and frolic with the beloved little bird.
-screen flashes red, sotetsu punches thug-
sotesu: Phew, that wasn't so hard.
-different thug runs away-
sotetsu: Woah there, what a selfish bastard you are, abandoning your comrades and running huh? If you were gonna run you should’ve done so right away.
If you were faster on your feet you might've actually had a chance to escape. Nah nevermind, it's impossible. You can't run from a shadow.
-kasumi appears-
kasumi: Man~ Even a background character with no presence like me can be useful. They tried to run right past me so I had to bite. We’ve suppressed quite a few of them, but is this everyone?
sotetsu: Asking them all would be a pain so just one is fine. How about this guy right here? Let's ask him.
kasumi: The guy that you're currently stepping on?
sotetsu: This guy tried to sneakily run away, they're always the ones who know the most.
kasumi: That's true~ Then let's hear him out.
-kasumi picks the thug up off the ground-
kasumi: Could we speak with you for a moment~? Who did you have business with today?

sotetsu: Scary. I wouldn't want to be interrogated by a background character.
Despite behaving since summer, how come you decided to make a move now? This wasn't arranged. It looked like Kei was pulling some strings so I thought things would be fine.
kasumi: Hmm? So, could you have a little chat with us?
-time pass-
kasumi: Oh well~ When you're just a small fry in an organisation it's only natural they wouldn't know everything.
sotetsu: In the end he didn't know a thing. All he said was that the agreement seems to have crumbled but that's what they all say. With Haseyama back and Kei watching things like a hawk the situation should have changed though.
kasumi: What is this agreement he mentioned anyway?
sotetsu: What, you don't know? I mean it's not like I don't know the details either but… In short it's an agreement that no one can threaten Saki around here. It's basically an unspoken rule that you can't lay a finger on her.
If Haseyama did a poor job of being the balancer, she would have been targeted. He was managing just fine until he got hospitalised. But even whilst he was in a coma it appears his higher ups gave their support.
kasumi: And where on earth did you obtain that information from?
sotetsu: It takes one to know one. I just asked the other party what was going on. And so? Did you help me out this time just to show me how strong you are?
kasumi: I just felt like helping out. There is some information that I’m after.
sotetsu: About your sister, yeah? I still don't know her location.
kasumi: What about info on the perpetrators?
sotetsu: The perpetrators? You want to know that much? Finding your sister and ending things there would be the safer choice. For you and her both.
kasumi: This is none of your business.

sotetsu: I know, I know. Let's investigate that together too though. Got any leads?
kasumi: I had thought that Haseyama was involved but I couldn't find any evidence or indication that he actually is.
sotetsu: Meaning you want to use a different information source? Okay, I’ll try looking for one.

Common Chapter 6
-backstage-
saki: (Rindou-san…)
maica: Saki, did you come to see us before the show? Thanks.
menou: Please enjoy our closing show.
nekome: I’m happy to see you before the show~ Now I’m even more pumped for the finale.
sinju: Rindou is concentrating so he probably won't say anything to you… Sorry about that.
saki: I’m sorry to bother you before the show too. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
-time pass, starless restaurant area-
unei: Team P’s show ‘Helpless Hope’ will be starting now.
saki: (Good luck everyone…)
-stage-
rindou: “Their song of farewell is the last remaining proof of their existence. Even now, it’s still reverberating within my heart without dissipating.”
“So, I will wear this sin of mine which can no longer be reversed. No matter how far I’ve come, no matter how far I go, I can never reach it. This hope brings no salvation– And there will be no end to this despair.”
-applause-
-backstage-
menou: “Despair has such a beautiful face.”
nekome: Hm? Did you say something, Menou?
menou: Nope. Look, Rindou is coming back.
sinju: Woah, amazing…! It’s a standing ovation!
maica: They're applauding so loudly. Want to head out for the curtain call now, Rindou?
sinju: Your performance was really great, Rindou! …Rindou?
rindou: I won't be doing a curtain call.
maica: What are you saying? The audience is waiting for us, let's go.
rindou: Did you not hear what I just said? I won't be doing a curtain call.
menou: Rindou…
sinju: But the guests were all so moved by your performance. I can see some still crying.
rindou: Yes, I’m aware. However, the stage that I wanted to put on was not achieved. This wasn't the stage I wanted them to witness. Our performance and Maica’s singing both did not reach them.

maica: What are you saying? What on earth was wrong with my singing? Go on, tell me, Rindou!
nekome: Maica calm down. You too, Rindou.
rindou: I’m perfectly calm. I’m just disappointed things didn't turn out how I wished for them to. I told you, didn't I? I want to create a new Team P. The shows that we’ve been putting on as P up until now have not been good enough.
nekome: Let me ask you one more time, Rindou. You won't be appearing in our curtain call then?
rindou: Yes, stop making me repeat myself. I will not not be doing a curtain call.
-rindou leaves-
maica: That– That damn bastard! Rindou, get back here! Godammit, let me go, Sinju!
-maica struggles to break free-
sinju: No way, Maica. I’m sorry, but I can't do that. I don't want us to fight!
nekome: (sad sigh)

nekome: “No matter how far we've come, no matter how far we go, we can never reach it. This hope brings no salvation– And there will be no end to this despair.”
menou: It's exactly like ‘Helpless Hope’ isn't it?
–end
-
EX 1
-starless hallway-
sinju: Rindou! Wait up! I’m telling you to wait!
rindou: …So you all followed me?
sinju: What was that about before? What do you mean we didn't reach them?
maica: You said my singing didn't reach them either. Explain yourself.

nekome: Settle down you two.
maica: …….
sinju: You said it just before Rindou. That our performance wasn't enough.
rindou: Yeah, I did. Our performance and Maica’s singing both did not reach those who were watching us. This wasn't the stage I wanted them to witness.
sinju: Do you mean our execution of the show wasn't up to standard then? Even though the audience applauded us so much?
rindou: This has nothing to do with the amount of applause we received.

maica: I sang exactly how you wanted me to sing. So I’m telling you to explain yourself already.
sinju: Team P’s shows make the best of everyone's skills and we all elevate each other. Isn't that right? At least, that's what I thought our shows were about?
rindou: Elevate each other… That's right. That's how Team P’s shows were created and I feel as though it had been working quite well.
However, that just means that you need to cut down your own performance little by little in order to match the level of the other members.
You need to find a balance that can be maintained. And as a result, everyone’s overall level is suppressed. No matter how much you try to multiply a performance that’s less than 100%, it won't become 100%.
menou: So it's not about addition but instead multiplication… That's what you're saying right? Rindou.
sinju: So you mean, Rindou has been holding back? In order to work with us, he's been lowering the level of his own performance?
rindou: At the time, I thought that I was fine with that. Back when Maica joined P as our singer. Ginsei moved to K and Menou moved into our team. Even though we had to throw away the performances we’d been doing until then, I wanted to perform with this new Team P.
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: Right now, even if we have to throw away the performances we've been doing up until now, I want to perform with Maica’s vocals.
-present, hallway-
maica: You– That was years ago.
rindou: It was only a little while after Starless’ reopening. But, you said this to me, Maica. You said that you wanted me as the team’s leader.
-flashback, outside station, night-
maica: For that reason, I want you to remain our leader, Rindou.
-present, hallway-
maica: And what? Should I be happy about that or are you telling me I should've regretted it?
rindou: I’m not sure myself.
maica: So you’re saying that to this day, you still haven't been able to achieve the performance that you want with my singing?
sinju: Meaning that Team P’s show with our current members is still incomplete.

rindou: …….
–end
-
EX 2
-rehearsal room-
zakuro: Oh my, are you the only one here? A training session with just singers won't amount to much.
aogiri: The time I told you that training would start was slightly earlier than the scheduled time.
zakuro: Well you’ve successfully called this pitiful jester here. State whatever business it is that you have with me.
aogiri: I wanted to inquire about when you said that you were number 3.
zakuro: Oh dear, you are straight to the point today. And are you unhappy with being position number 6?
aogiri: I don't mind feeling each other's intentions out, however I must ask, how much time do you have left?

zakuro: As expected you are familiar with my situation. I am nothing but impressed. You must already have a good grasp on all of the information that I would know.
aogiri: I do not know everything. I only know information regarding the institution.
zakuro: (sigh) Did you have to bring up that name?
aogiri: If we keep being vague we’ll both grow tired of it. And I have higher priorities. I’m glad that Haseyama-san returned since the agreement around here can be maintained.
zakuro: I don't understand though, how come you haven't taken action?
aogiri: I am still waiting for the right opportunity. We spoke about this at that shrine last month, remember? You asked if I wanted to make myself indebted to you.
-mokuren appears-
zakuro: Mokuren.
mokuren: How come you two are here so early? Well whatever, this works out. Zakuro, I need you to prepare our next show for us. If we can produce a new work then we’ll be scheduled next, Kei gave me his word.
zakuro: I see, roger that. I shall prepare a show for us.
mokuren: As for the singer for this show… You two can decide between yourselves.
zakuro: My oh my, so you're saying I’m not the only option?
mokuren: During our fifth anniversary performance you let Aogiri sing as well. So that's why I’m asking.
aogiri: If you're giving us the choice, then I’d like to put my hand up.
zakuro: Hm… I am content with that too then.
mokuren: Got it. Aogiri, you’ll be the singer for our next show and Zakuro will be the understudy. Correct?
zakuro: Yes, understood.
mokuren: Aogiri, I’ll leave the various other preparations to you. Like your voice and our costumes.
aogiri: Is that really ok? To be honest I wasn't expecting you to go along with it.

mokuren: How come you're surprised? You put your hand up, didn't you? So you were chosen, that's all there is to it.
–end
-
EX 3
-street, night-
-BLACKSTAR starts playing-
saki: (That sound… I can hear music again…)
kei: Watch out, Saki!
-kei pulls her away from the road-
kei: You’ll get hit by a car if you walk onto the road.
saki: Ah, I’m sorry. Kei-san.
kei: It appears you were lost in thought. I heard that you passed out midway through the run of P’s show as well. Are you still feeling unwell?
saki: I’m ok. It was only that day I was feeling bad.
kei: If you say so, I shall believe you. But please do not overdo it. I want you to stay safe and healthy. I want to protect you.
-flashback, starless lobby-
kei: The day where you will come to understand everything is not far away. At least, that is what I believe.
-flashback, restaurant area-
master: For his goal he will throw anything and everything away. He will persist through any setback. Kei came here to save Starless, because that is connected to protecting you. Once everything is said and done, you will be free.
-present, street-
saki: Kei-san, why is it that you’re always…Why do you keep saying that you’ll ‘protect’ me?
kei: Saki…
saki: You never answer me. That's why, I–
-screen shakes-
kei: Are you ok? I who will not explain anything may not have the right to worry about you, but… I am still afraid of you remembering.

saki: Why?
-screen shakes-
kei: Because it will be harmful to your body. Like what's happening to you right now. The occurrences are getting more frequent. I suggest we stop talking about this now.
saki: Stop– Talking about this now…?
-screen flashes white-
kei: Saki… How are you feeling?
saki: Ah… Oh, Kei-san? Um, wait, what was I…
kei: You were on your way home from Starless but started feeling dizzy, so we took a break. Do you remember?
saki: Dizzy…
-flashback, a few seconds ago-
kei (distorted audio): I – still – afraid – you – bering.

-present, street-
saki: (I remember Kei-san said something, but what was it…?)
kei: Do you remember me saying that I am concerned about your health?
-flashback, a few seconds ago-
kei (distorted audio): Because – will be harmful – body. – happening – right now. The occur – more frequent. I suggest – stop – now.
kei: I want you to stay safe and healthy.
-present, street-
saki: You told me that you want me to stay safe and healthy, right?
kei: (relieved sigh)
kei: Yes, that is what I said. I suppose it is a bit of an old fashioned phrase, isn't it?
saki: Fufu, I'm not sure. But it's just like you to say something like that, Kei-san.
kei: Let's continue. I’ll escort you to the station.
saki: Thank you.
kei (to himself): Her memories are becoming muddled more and more frequently… I need to hurry up.

[BSTS] Main Story S6CH1 'Our Hands Can't Reach Tomorrow' - Part 3
Part 2 - Final
Common Chapter 3
-starless hallway-
-zakuro standing close-
saki: (Uu… How did this happen…?)
zakuro: Averting your eyes and not giving a response is quite rude. Please answer my question. But before that, a word of advice. You should be more careful, your defences are too lax.
saki: I’m sorry, I was caught off guard…
zakuro: Either way I shall not let this chance slip me by. My apologies but I shall be taking advantage of it. Have you remembered anything yet? My little bird of destiny.

-flashback, rehearsal room-
saki: …What do you want from me?
zakuro: As I said, all I want is your memories. The memories sleeping deep within you that were wrapped up in a black cloth and forgotten.
-present, starless hallway-
zakuro: I cannot rely on anyone else but you regarding this matter. Please answer me, for the sake of this pitiful jester.
saki: So you're saying that it's something that I should know? The owner said something similar to me…
zakuro: Oh my oh my, now that is a name that I was not expecting to hear. And whatever was it that the Boss asked of you? It couldn't have been about the black cards, could it?
saki: Yes, it was. He said that I must have one and that I know how to access what’s on them.
Except, I have no idea what any of that means… From what you're saying though, I should know, right? Why do you want to know what it is that I’ve forgotten, Zakuro-san?
zakuro: Oop, and now I’m the one being questioned. However I cannot provide a response if you do not remember.
If you wish for something then you must also give something in return. A fair trade is most important when it comes to both information and compensation.
-qu appears-
qu: Hey, Zakuro. What are you doing blocking the hallway?
zakuro: What's this, what's this? My dear teammate has decided to make an appearance. And if it isn't Team P’s problem child as well.
menou: Problem child? Are you referring to me? I’m not so sure about that. I’d be a saint in comparison to you.
Though, I am curious what you two were talking about just now. A singer is necessary to perform on Starless’ stage, so if I were to give you something in return, would you continue to sing for me forever?
zakuro: Please forgive me. I already have my hands full pleasing our madman of a leader. I don't need another one giving me orders.
menou: Huh~? Working for me would be so much easier compared to Mokuren though. Well whatever, I already have Maica, Sinju and Rindou on Team P to sing for me. Rindou seems like he’s still holding himself back. I want him to cut the breaks already.
zakuro: Woah now, as expected of you Menou. What an insane statement to make.
qu: Give it a rest and back away from her already, Zakuro. You're being way too persistent.
zakuro: Oh my, excuse me. The little birdie here is so used to my closeness that she hadn't pushed me away.
-he steps even closer to saki-
zakuro: Please remember what it is that I desire from you. I beg of you, remember for both of our sakes.

SideA Chapter 4
-locker room-
ran: Heya Sinju, how is Team P doin’? Gettin’ worked to the bone?
sinju: I wouldn't say that. We're just diligently training and rehearsing. Wait, are you trying to pick on me, Ran?
ran: Ahaha oops, you saw right through me~ Ya I was just teasin’ ya.
Don't ya think P is like a sports drama straight outta the showa era right now? I’ve always thought that the sports and idol genres would go together well!
sinju: I’m not exactly sure what you're trying to say, but I’m glad you seem to be having fun… I think?
ran: What's gonna happen to P from here on out? We were talkin’ about it the other day. Are ya gonna change your direction from bein’ sparkly idols?
Oh and also, is Rindou ok? He’s still always wearin’ a smile, but it's like his resolve has changed.
sinju: His resolve–
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
-present, locker room-
ran: He’s got that ‘come any closer and I’ll cut you down!’ vibe to him. It's so cool, like the samurai Tange Sazen!
sinju: I’m seriously not following this conversation at all. But Rindou is fine. I’m the one who's at fault, I still don't know what it is that I want to do. I don't know what direction Rindou is planning to take with Team P.
ran: What? Ya seriously think that he seems ok? Y’know, before I came to Starless, I saw all sorts of broken people on the daily. And surprisingly, it's the ones that were closest to ‘em that understood them the least.
Shouldn't you be treatin’ this a little more carefully? The same thing happened once before, right? Ya told me yourself, about that time Nekome did some kinda therapy thing.
sinju: You remembered that, Ran?
ran: Of course I’d remember! It was such a weird story. What was it again…
Rindou hadn't been able to perform, so Nekome put a set of headphones or somethin’ on him? Rindou went all uwaahh! and collapsed, but despite that he took to the stage the next day like nothin’ had happened.
Maybe ya should try give him that therapy again? Though I don't really understand the details.
sinju: Don't say that like it's so simple. There's no way I could tell Rindou to do that again.
sinju: …….

SideA Chapter 5
-starless hallway-
qu: Are you on floor shift today, Yoshino?
yoshino: Yeah. I suppose you are too. Is something the matter?
qu: Team P don't have an understudy, so I was wondering if I should offer to lend them some support.
yoshino: Ah… Is this about Rindou? I understand why you’d be concerned but… It's a difficult situation.
The current Team P is different from the one that we used to be members of. They all have their own challenges that they need to overcome themselves.
So I’m not sure how much help we’d be, since we only know about how P used to be.
qu: I know that, but still.
yoshino: Qu, a lot of time has passed since we transferred from Team P. I get that seeing Rindou like this is reminiscent of how he was when P was first created. But the current Team P has their own way of doing things, if we try to intervene we’d just be a disruption.
qu: You think so?
-sinju appears further down the hall-

yoshino: It's not like anyone from P has directly asked you for help, right?
sinju: What's this? What are we talking about?
yoshino: Woah, Sinju! That surprised me.
sinju: Were you talking about Team P? …Was it something I shouldn't have overheard?
yoshino: You mean something we want to keep a secret from you? That may be true.
sinju: Huh? Seriously? I’m so curious~ But I can't ask!
yoshino: It's a secret but I can let you in on it if you want.
qu: Yoshino.
yoshino: We were just talking about how Team P are really giving it their all. Weren't we, Qu?
sinju: Really? Aw, thanks! I’ve been worried about whether or not I’ve been doing well, so I’m happy to hear it.
yoshino: So are things going well on P? You seem to be trialing a lot of different things.
sinju: Yeah, we’ve been doing things a little differently compared to before. As to whether or not it's going well I’d say…
sinju: ……. (frowns)
qu: Is it like that time at the previous Starless?
sinju: Ah, you might be right. Did somebody say that to you?
qu: No, it's just the feeling that I got. A lot happened back then, so I might just be overthinking it. Sorry, Sinju.
sinju: No, don't worry about it. I’m sorry too. I was wondering if I should discuss it with Nekome.

yoshino: Why Nekome? Oh right, of the current P members, only Nekome was also a standard member back then. But, this is Nekome we're talking about here. I wouldn't expect too much from him.
sinju: Yoshino.
yoshino: If you need to talk we’re willing to hear you out too. Right, Qu?
qu: Of course. The offer is always on the table, Sinju. We were all founding members of P after all.
sinju: Yoshino, Qu… Thank you. If I need anything I’ll let you know.
yoshino: He may not be very reliable but I think you should still discuss it with Nekome too.
sinju: Ahaha, yeah. I’ll try talking with him.

SideB Chapter 4
-locker room-
nekome: Rindou, you took your time getting here today~ I thought you’d arrive earlier.
rindou: That's because I had to stop by the government office first. I still got here on time though.
nekome: Yeah, the others should be arriving soon too, but before that I wanted to talk to you, so I’ve been waiting.
rindou: Sure, we can talk after rehearsal.
nekome: Could we talk now instead? It won't take long.
rindou: …Ok. What is it?
nekome: Say, Rindou. You're taking to the stage at the moment, but is it really sustainable? This has happened in the past, remember, that period of time when you couldn't bring yourself to perform.
rindou: I was wondering what you were going to say… I’m standing on the stage just fine though. This is different from back then.

nekome: But still, it feels as though you're pushing yourself. So wouldn't it be better to look after yourself with some treatment?
rindou: Treatment?
nekome: You don't remember? That treatment that I gave you back at the previous Starless.
rindou: Oh… That thing you called ‘simple therapy’...
nekome: Yeah. And it really was simple, wasn't it?
rindou: I think it was. To be honest I don't really remember the details. I’d rather not remember that period of time. I was in total disarray. So, I am at least somewhat grateful to you.
In the end it was thanks to whatever you gave me that I was able to stand on the stage comfortably again. However, this time I will have to refuse.
nekome: Are you sure?
rindou: I think that this is something that I need to overcome on my own. Thank you for your concern though. Also, if you can up the quality of your performance for me then I won't have any complaints.
nekome: So harsh!
rindou: Is that all then? Rehearsals will be starting soon, we need to get changed.
nekome: Got it. Just one last thing. Would you happen to have a black coloured card in your possession? A black card with nothing written on it.

rindou: Why do you know about that, Nekome…?
nekome: As long as you have it it's fine. I just wanted to make sure. With that I’m gonna go get changed~
-nekome leaves-
rindou: That black coloured card… If I remember correctly it was back when Starless caught on fire that I found it in my locker. Nekome was also found caught up in that fire the day he returned…

SideB Chapter 5
-break room-
kasumi: What's this? Heath and Taiga? Now that's an unusual pair~
heath: We were talking about Team P’s show and how it's pretty amazing they've still been making adjustments to the show since it opened.
kasumi: Ah~ Yeah it does seem that way. Their whole team is made up of diligent members after all.
heath: Huh? But Nekome is with them, so it's not the whole team.
taiga: That's true.
kasumi: Well I’m sure Nekome can be diligent sometimes too~ …Probably.
heath: Seriously? Then compared to Hari, who would be more diligent?
kasumi: Hari of course. That's an unfair comparison no matter who the opponent is.
taiga: He took some kind of exam recently, didn't he? That fact alone makes him crazy diligent.
heath: I hate exams.
taiga: Agreed~ I don't see the point in taking one willingly.
kasumi: Some professions require you to take exams in order to gain the needed qualifications.
heath: Hm? Qualifications, huh~
taiga: He sure is amazing.

kasumi: You two could try to act at least a little interested. Passing the bar examination is pretty impressive.
taiga: Do you have any qualifications yourself? You seem like you’d have some unexpected skills. No wait, lemme try and guess. Uhh, what about a qualified cleaner?
kasumi: I suppose there are certification tests for things like building cleaning. I’ve never taken one before though.
heath: Do you have qualifications in managing people?
kasumi: Like human resources and general affairs? Oh, or a licensed social insurance consultant? Nope, I don't have any qualifications like that~
taiga: Huh, I thought you'd have at least something.
heath: I guess Kasumi is normal after all.
kasumi: I have my drivers license though. I even have a large vehicle license.
heath: Oh, that's pretty cool. That means you can drive trucks and things right?
taiga: That's awesome! Can you operate a forklift too?
kasumi: Yep, I have a forklift license too. They're essential for moving heavy objects.
heath: Do you use them at work?
kasumi: I haven't used one since coming to Starless. I’m basically only a license holder on paper. If I were to return to a job that uses one I’d have to take a short course beforehand to remember everything~
taiga: With the existence of short courses and exams this world really is a tough one.
kasumi: Ahaha, that's society for you.

Common Chapter 4
-starless office-
unei: Nekome-san, should you really be here right before your show starts?
nekome: I heard Saki-chan was here so I wanted to greet her before the show. we’ll be heading right back don't worry.
saki: Thank you. But you didn't have to greet me, you should go and get ready for your show!
nekome: Aw come on, don't brush me off so easily~ I just wanted to have my heart warmed up before I stepped onto that awfully cold stage.
maica: Hmm, is that really the case? Then how about I set a fire to warm you up then?
rindou: While it is true that Saki-san is a special guest, I feel as though the way you dote on her has ulterior motives, Nekome.
nekome: N-no~~? It's not that way at all, I’m just, y’know?
unei: How come you suddenly can't speak properly?
rindou: My apologies, Saki-san. Nekome, you can't be bothering her like that. Keep it in moderation.
Maica, I’m going to go ahead and check the stage equipment before we start. I’ll leave him to you.
maica: Ah, sure. Go ahead.
-rindou leaves-
nekome: Hm? Is Maica going to scold me next then?
maica: (sigh) I’m not going to scold you, you're an adult too after all.
nekome: I kinda can't stand this tension anymore…
maica: You're the one who brought it on yourself, so you have to deal with the consequences. But still, quit half heartedly poking fun at things. Rindou won't play along, his responses have been really cold and it’ll only make the mood even more stifling.
nekome: So it's ok if I poke fun wholeheartedly then?
maica: If you want to get punched, sure.
nekome: Ah. No thanks.

saki: Um, what are you talking about?
maica: Hm? Oh, it's nothing. It's P’s problem to deal with. Rindou’s just been fully absorbed in the stage, that's all. To the extent that he's been discussing things with the team less…
nekome: Or to put it frankly he hasn't been talking to us any more than he needs to. He doesn't talk about anything other than the stage. Though he is still friendly about it.
unei: Aren't Team C and K the same way? B is the only team where I get the impression that they're a big group of friends.
nekome: That may be true but he could crack a joke every now and then. The moment he opens his mouth it's just stage this, show that. It gets dull, y’know?
maica: And that's why you keep cracking jokes only for Rindou to ignore them and make the mood freeze over even more?
nekome: I was only trying to warm things up.
maica: Well it didn't work.
unei: Being ignored by Rindou-san sounds like it'd be terrifying. If I got brushed off whilst he was still wearing a smile I think I’d be sad. The reviews for your show have been really good though. They're praising that it's a heart wrenching tragedy.
maica: A heart wrenching tragedy? Where on earth is that interpretation coming from?
nekome: Since Rindou is concentrating on the show the quality of his performance is scarily high. I’m worried as to whether or not he can keep going like this.
saki: (I wonder if Rindou-san is ok…)
–end

SideA Chapter 6
-park, day-
nekome: Sorry for the wait, Sinju~ What is it that you wanted to talk about? I’m a little nervous since you said we couldn't talk at Starless.
sinju: Nekome. Do you remember how I used to always try and avoid you? Back at the old Starless building.
nekome: Ahh, yeah I remember that. It was like you suddenly couldn't stand being around me anymore. We spoke about how it was just a misunderstanding though didn't we?
sinju: Yeah, but I didn't tell you the reason for why I acted that way.
nekome: That's cause you didn't look like you wanted to elaborate. I don't mind either way, things are fine between us now after all. Unless you want to explain?
sinju: Yeah, I do. You see, I saw what you did. Back then when Rindou was struggling to stand on the stage.
nekome: (surprised)

-flashback, old starless back rooms-
sinju: (That was a close one, I’m so glad I found my house key here in the store. That could’ve been real bad if I’d dropped it on the street somewhere… Hm? Is someone else here?)
-sinju peeks into the storage room-
nekome: Well, I guess you could say it’s a simple type of therapy?
rindou: Sorry Nekome, I’ve even made you concerned about me…
nekome: No worries, to make sure Team P’s on the right track, you’re necessary no matter what, Rindou.
nekome: (on computer or something) Ok, the card’s all set up, how about you?
rindou: I’m fine.
sinju: (Nekome and… Rindou? I wonder what they’re doing… he said something about therapy.)

nekome: Here we go, put these headphones on now.
rindou: Ok.
nekome: Okay, concentrate real hard on the sound that’s gonna come from the headphones, I’ll start it now.
sinju: (I wonder what they could be talking about, a new show maybe? I wish I could listen in too but I’m just the understudy…)
-rindou jolts in pain-
rindou: Guh— graaahhhh!
sinju: !?
nekome: …Hm?
sinju: (What was that? What, what happened? Nekome noticed me, shit, I need to run…!)

-present, park, day-
nekome: Huh, so that had been you, Sinju. I thought I’d just imagined hearing someone.
sinju: …….
nekome: So after seeing that you were afraid of me.
sinju: After you did that, Rindou stopped being so unstable and settled down. But on the flipside, I was the one who got scared and Rindou staggered our shifts because of it.
nekome: I just thought you wanted to avoid interacting with me. A lot was going on back then so I didn't really have time to let it concern me.
sinju: Not long after that, you disappeared.
nekome: Yeah. I’m sorry about that too.
sinju: Nekome. About that therapy, do you think you could do it once more?

nekome: Are you seriously suggesting that?
sinju: If Rindou needs it then…
nekome: I can't do it right now. Certain conditions need to be met and I don't have all the necessary equipment. Not to mention– I’ve already talked to Rindou about it and he said that he didn't need it.
sinju: If Rindou said that he's fine, then he must be, right?
nekome: Yeah, he's fine. He’s different from how he was back then, it was a long time ago after all.
sinju: Yeah. I’m sure he'll be fine. As long as we perform the show as best as we can, we'll be fine.
nekome: Yep, our show just keeps getting better and better. Let's keep doing our best until the closing show.
sinju: Thank you for hearing me out.
nekome: So… Does that therapy not freak you out anymore?
sinju: You just said it yourself, things are different compared to back then, it was a long time ago. I was scared at the time, that's true but…
I can remember it now, the fact that not being able to stand on the stage is what was causing Rindou to suffer the most. So, that's why I think that what you did back then was necessary to help Rindou.
–end

SideB Chapter 6
-starless back rooms-
rindou: Taiga? What are you doing back here?
taiga: What, you ask? I’m just hanging out with laptop-chan. Sometimes we like to play here.
rindou: Hm, is that so?
taiga: Yeah, you don't look the least bit interested. Oh well, everyone has their own preferences. To be honest I’m running from Unei-kun. He’d catch me if I stayed in the office.
That guy keeps casually asking me to format SD cards but then after I finish doing so he’s suddenly like ‘wait no I need that data!’. Ah~ It's so scary, I can't believe it sometimes. Those who can't handle technology are so difficult.
I’m the most knowledgeable when it comes to machines here at Starless though so it's no wonder everybody has to rely on me~
rindou: …That's true actually.
taiga: Uwah, I said too much. Was I acting like an otaku? I totally was.
rindou: Say, Taiga. Could you lend me your abilities as well?
taiga: Huh? You have a favour to ask of me? Now that's a rare event.
rindou: I’d like for you to keep this a secret from Nekome, but could you analyse this card for me?
-rindou hands taiga his black card-

taiga: Huh, this card is completely black. What is it?
rindou: I don't know. It randomly appeared in my locker one day… I previously had Maica try to look into it but in the end nothing came of it. I’m still curious as to what it is though, so.
taiga: Hmm? This is surprising. And how come I need to keep it a secret from Nekome?
rindou: I’m not entirely sure myself. Nekome might not have anything to do with it, but I’d like to keep it a secret from him just in case.
taiga: Hmmm. Sure, I’ll give it a shot. It's not like Nekome and I talk much to begin with, so it's not like I need to report it to him. Is it ok if I borrow this card?
rindou: Yes, I don't mind. All I was doing with it was holding onto it. But make sure you don't lose it, if you can't find out anything about it please return it to me.
-flashback, haseyama’s hospital room-
suspicious man: It's not here…? You haven't hidden it have you?
doctor: Of course not, I’m telling the truth…! I checked his clothes, his bag, everything! There wasn't a black coloured card anywhere.
suspicious man: Shit. Just when I thought I was finally gonna be able to obtain a black card…
-present, starless back rooms-
taiga: Of course. I’ll be taking it off your hands for a few days then~ Just give me some time until the closing performance of your show.
rindou: Ok. I’ll be counting on you.
taiga: Do your best on the stage.
rindou: Of course. I will not compromise.
-rindou leaves-
taiga: Uegh, is it just me or did it suddenly get chilly in here? Rindou seems so on edge lately.
-takami appears-
takami: So this is where you were, Taiga. Running away again are you?
taiga: Running? Oh, you mean from Unei-kun? Yeah, I did. Just how many SD cards does that man have? Confirming what's on them, or telling me to format them whilst checking the data. Just where is he even getting these tasks from?
takami: The owner, I suppose.
taiga: Ah, there's no way he could refuse him then. However, I am refusing. I’m not doing it.
takami: Taiga, that card you have…

taiga: Ah, crap, I forgot to put it away. Oh well, you're not my brother. Rindou gave it to me, he wants me to analyse it for him.
takami: Rindou gave it to you?
taiga: He told me to keep it a secret from Nekome. So you should do the same. Anyways, I should go and get ready for my shift.
takami: A-ah, yeah sure.
-taiga leaves-
takami: A black card… Why would Rindou have one?

Common Chapter 5
-outside starless, day-
-screen shakes-
saki: (What was that? Perhaps I’m not feeling too good…)
saki: Maybe I was just imagining things…
-starless lobby-
sinju: Oh, welcome, Saki-chan. I’m glad I was able to greet you, I’m happy to see you!
saki: Hello, Sinju-san.
sinju: You look pale, are you ok? You should rest backstage for now. Aogiri, could you give me a hand? Saki-chan doesn't seem to be feeling well.
aogiri: Of course, I can assist.
-flashback, hallway-
aogiri: I knew that the chances of you remembering would be very low but— It would be helpful if you remembered. Don't worry, I’ll assist you.
-present, starless lobby-
saki: (Huh…? I think I really am feeling under the weather…)
aogiri: It's ok, there's no need to push yourself. I’ll escort you backstage. Let's go so the other customers don't notice.
-flashback, restaurant area-
aogiri: Speaking of, I was going to go and check what's happening behind the scenes. Would you like to come with me? Here, follow me quietly so the other customers don't notice.

-present, starless lobby-
-kokuyou quickly steps in front of aogiri-
kokuyou: Are you feeling dizzy? Does your head hurt? Or are you not even sure yourself…
gui: Kokuyou, Aogiri. I will take her.
aogiri: I’ll head backstage before you then, I’m about to be on break.
-aogiri leaves-
kongou: I’ll prepare you something hot to drink. I’ll leave the rest to you, Gui, Kokuyou.
-kongou leaves-
sinju: Kokuyou, I’ll also–
kokuyou: You have a show to perform, don't you? Don't forget.
sinju: Saki-chan…
saki: I’m ok. Do your best in the show, Sinju-san.
sinju: Ok, thank you. Don't overdo it either.
-sinju leaves-
gui: Let's go, Kokuyou.
kokuyou: I’ll join you later, you take Saki.
-black screen-
saki: (I feel so dizzy– It’s not going away…)
-time pass, starless office-
kongou: Ah, you're awake. How are you feeling?
gui: I think she's ok. I can tell by her scent.
saki: Yes, I’m feeling better. Sorry for worrying you all…
aogiri: Here is the hot lemonade Kongou made for you, would you like to drink it?
saki: (flinches) Ah, um… Yes, thank you.
kokuyou: Here I’ll pass it to her. Take it, Saki.

aogiri: It appears I surprised you, my apologies, Saki-san. Sorry for bothering you too, Kokuyou.
kokuyou: I don't care, but the hall is probably understaffed right now. You should return Aogiri. You too, Gui.
aogiri: Understood.
gui: I’m staying here.
kokuyou: Tch. Fine.
aogiri: I’ll be taking my leave then. Take care, Saki-san.
-aogiri leaves-
gui: Saki, Aogiri made you flinch.
kokuyou: Did that guy do something to you?
saki: No, at least I don't think so…
-flashback, hallway-
aogiri: It would be helpful if you remembered. Don't worry, I’ll assist you.

-present, starless office-
saki: I don't really remember.
kokuyou: Is that so? Well for now just make sure you rest up.
saki: (I feel as though I’ve forgotten something…)
gui: P’s show has ended. I can hear the sound of applause.
kokuyou: Sounds like another great success. How praiseworthy.

[BSTS] Main Story S6CH1 'Our Hands Can't Reach Tomorrow' - Part 2
Part 1 - Part 3
Chapter 2 SideA
-starless balcony, evening-
sinju: Is anyone out here…? Good, it doesn't seem like it.
heath: Sorry, but I’m here too.
sinju: Uwah!? That scared the hell out of me. So you were here, Heath. What are you doing? You don’t smoke, right?

heath: Nope, I don't. I just wanted to be alone for a bit. Right after the store opens those on the staff shift are busy attending to the hall. And what about you, Sinju? Isn't your show going to be starting soon?
sinju: Yeah, I was actually thinking of going over my steps again quickly before the real deal but… Then I didn't really feel like doing it anymore and ended up coming here instead.
heath: Well, you see, I’m out here watching the sky.
sinju: The sky?
heath: It's going to rain soon.
sinju: Huh? Is it? Damn, but I didn't bring an umbrella today.
heath: At least, it might. But it probably won't rain in the end.
sinju: Huh? So it won't rain?
heath: The sky is perfectly clear right now, isn't it? So it probably won't.
sinju: Oh… Right.
heath: You really trust whatever people tell you, don't you? You didn't doubt me at all.
sinju: That's cause I have no reason to doubt you. Not to mention, we're friends, aren't we? We're not enemies or anything.
heath: Hmm, if you say so. If you're able to trust me this blindly, then I’m sure you must trust Rindou even more.
sinju: Well yeah, I think Rindou is seriously amazing. Say, Heath, how does Team P look to the rest of you guys right now?
heath: I can't speak for the others, but the reason you're asking me that is because you must have a problem with P, right? So, that's why I think things must be hard for you right now.
sinju: Sorry, it was weird of me to ask you that. It's just, I’ve been messing up and holding the team back, so things haven't been going well.
heath: Is that so? …Sounds tough.

sinju: Ah~ I’m sorry! I’m acting so lame right now! I’m sounding like I’m looking to be comforted. Let's just pretend this never happened, ok?
heath: Huh? You want me to forget it? Not comfort you?
sinju: Yeah, please forget it. Anyways, I need to try my best however I can. I’m gonna go rehearse my steps before the show. Thank you for hearing me out!
-sinju runs off-
heath: He went from moping about to back on his feet all on his own. What amazing self-motivation he has…

heath: Team P, huh? I wonder what will happen to them from here on out. I can't help but envy them a little though… Since Rindou is a leader who gets things done, and Sinju is someone who can stand up for himself.

Chapter 2 SideA extra
-rehearsal room-
lico: Hey, I just saw Sinju sleeping in the locker room, he fainted, didn't he?
heath: I saw him too. I put a towel over him.
ran: I did too! His brows were all furrowed so I put the towel right on his face.
heath: Oh, that was you, Ran? It looked like he couldn't breathe so I removed it.
ran: Ahaha! He was just sleepin’ though, wasn't he?

lico: No he definitely passed out cause of Rindou’s hardcore training. No matter how you look at it, Rindou has been acting strange lately. He’s way too intense. It can't feel good to have that much pressure placed on you.
ran: Huh? What's this? That sounds kinda cool!
lico: Excuse me? What are you saying?
ran: Despite bein’ all sparkly and perfect on the stage, behind the scenes they're throwin’ up blood! It's so idol core!
lico: What kind of image of idols do you have? What I’m trying to say is that Rindou is weirding me out.
heath: Rindou has made up his mind.
lico: Made up his mind on what?
heath: Various things.
ran: What's this, what's this? Did you soul link with him cause you're a fellow singer? At this rate you're goin’ to become an idol too, Heath! You're so cool as well~ I want to know what connectin’ souls feels like~
lico: Seriously, what are you going on about? You’ve lost it. Anyways, I’d never accept it. I’d hate it if my team’s principles changed like that.
ran: Their principles haven't changed though, their show is still super sparkly.
heath: That may be true. However, nothing stays the same forever. If the situation of a team changes, it could happen to any of us.
lico: Well, I’d be against it. Think of all of the fans who've supported us till now.
ran: That's cause all you want is to be loved, Lico~
lico: Shut up.

Chapter 2 SideB
-bar-
kokuyou: Yo, Kou-san.
iwami: Kokuyou. Well isn't this a coincidence.
kokuyou: Nah, it's not a coincidence. I just told the bartender to tell me when you’d be coming.
iwami: If you needed me you could've just contacted me by phone.
kokuyou: Hey, I’d like to order. A beer and some food. Preferably something filling.
iwami: As always you're not listening.
-time pass-
iwami: How come we're just sitting here drinking and snacking? Didn't you have business with me?
kokuyou: C’mon man let me get something in my stomach. I had to work all day unlike you.
iwami: Sure sure. I am just a wandering unemployed man after all.
kokuyou: If you wanna talk, how about you start? Talking to keep up appearances is your specialty isn't it?
iwami: You should respect your elders. Well, not like I’ve done anything that's worth respecting.
kokuyou: So you're aware of it?
iwami: You’ve always been like that. Arrogant and never walking down any other path than your own. When you came to Starless, do you remember what you said to me?
kokuyou: As if I’d remember something from that long ago.
iwami: You said that the place was a dump and that the name was lame. I’ve held a grudge ever since.
kokuyou: Did I really say that? Ah, actually, maybe I did. That place really was a dump after all.

iwami: Despite working at a restaurant you never cracked a smile and served everyone with a stern expression.
kokuyou: You're the one who hired me despite knowing I’d be that way. Plus it was boisterous enough with just you and Nekome being there.
iwami: Getting to know your regular customers is part of the job.
kokuyou: A normal person wouldn't come back a second time if the waiter just ignored their order and chatted with them instead.
iwami: It's fine isn't it? I started the store up as a hobby, so I can do whatever I want with my store.
kokuyou: Your store huh… Well, I guess it's still technically true. And so, Kou-san, what is it exactly that you're scheming?
iwami: ……..
kokuyou: Not gonna drink? Your hand stopped.
iwami: ……. (drinks)
iwami: You're not gonna turn a blind eye, are you?
kokuyou: Nope. I’ve looked away for long enough already. So tell me, who are you?
iwami: I told you already. I’m just a regular unemployed old man. That's it.
kokuyou: That's what you’ve always been though. Well whatever, you obviously don't plan on answering.
By the way, did you know this? Around two years ago Mokuren and Mizuki had a versus. Team C vs Team B, the winner would decide what would happen to the old Starless building.
iwami: What do you mean by what would happen to it?
kokuyou: Whether Starless would be demolished or left alone. Since that old building caused Saki’s health to deteriorate.
iwami: …I see.
kokuyou: In the end Mizuki’s Team B won and the old Starless was left as is. However, if Mokuren had won, who knows what would've happened.
iwami: The old building would've been demolished. Isn't that what you just said?
kokuyou: I’m doubtful of whether that would've actually happened though. Cause I mean, isn't it strange that that old dump of a building is still there to begin with? Could you tell me why it is that you’ve let that building stay there?
iwami: I never thought you'd be asking me that. But the old Starless is just an empty shell. Nothing more, nothing less.
kokuyou: Is that so? Then you don't care what happens to it? Even if I were to destroy it myself?

iwami: Kokuyou.
kokuyou: Welp I’ve had my fill, I’ll leave my cash here. You can keep drinking if you want.
-kokuyou leaves-

Chapter 3 SideA
(note: Team P’s show is based on the opera ‘Andrea Chénier’. The script originally had Chéneir as the protagonist like the original story, but Rindou changed the protagonist to be the story’s antagonist, Gérard.)
cw: suicidal thoughts
-rehearsal room-
maica: Enough, Rindou! Just how many times do you plan on repeating this part? There's a limit to how many times I can sing it before it ruins my vocal chords, you know. Are you really that dissatisfied with my singing?
rindou: No, that's not the reason. It's just that I still feel a sense of disconnect with Gérard.
maica: And what does that mean exactly? Tell me what kind of portrayal you're aiming for.
rindou: Grief, anger, powerlessness, regret… The loneliness of not being able to let go of a loved one that you've lost. And finally, hope. Gérard sees hope in Chénier’s poems.
maica: Yeah. My interpretation of that aspect is the same.
rindou: However, Maica. I feel as though you're still going easy on me.
maica: No I’m not.
rindou: You can do better. Despite having not died, what ultimately kills Gérard is hearing you singing whilst on death row. Chénier and Maddalena die together, so Gérard does not die.
He’s left behind— Within a deep despair and deep envy towards the hope that those two held.
maica: Rindou. Are you saying that your Gérard wants to die?
rindou: Wants to die… Yeah, I suppose he does. It would have been better if Gérard had died first. If he had been able to save Chénier and Maddalena, Gerard’s death would’ve left a scar on their hearts.
But, Gérard doesn't die. I know that all too well. And so, he is left to despair. Left behind in a world that’s devoid of love.

maica: So that's what makes the story a tragedy when Gérard is the protagonist? I'll think about it some more then.
Say, Rindou. How come you suddenly decided to change the protagonist of the story? While it's true that the original protagonist Chénier is naive, spoiled and an annoying idealist, he has all the key elements that make a protagonist. The opera is even named after him.
rindou: Yes. He has a natural talent for poetry, he's honest, has a pure and beautiful heart and lastly, a strong sense of devotion.
Chénier has friends that would lay their lives down for him and even when he's captured he still acts noble. But… He's a protagonist that's a little too perfect. I guess you could say that that's the reason I decided to change it.
maica: What? What do you mean?
rindou: Starless isn't a beautiful place. The stages of the outside world are far out of our reach. So, I think that a warped protagonist suits a stage like ours better.

-starless office-
kongou: Ah, Saki-chan. Would you like to sample this drink for me?
saki: What is it? A hot drink with honey and lemon? I’ll try it. Wah, it's delicious! It goes down easy, it's not too sweet so it's really refreshing.
-mizuki and hinata appear-
mizuki: Drinking something tasty in here are we? Gimme some too.
hinata: You're looking cute again today, Miss! ♪
saki: Uwah!? (she drops her cup)

kongou: Woah there. (he catches it)
saki: S-sorry about that. The cup just slipped out of my hands…
kongou: It's ok, I caught it. Besides, it wasn't your fault anyways. You two, suddenly running in front of her like that is dangerous.
mizuki: What, I could smell something good in here. Gimme a sip.
kongou: No. This drink is for Maica.
hinata: Oh~ He’s in the middle of a show’s run so is that honey lemon drink to help take care of his throat? I can see why he’d need it! Maica’s been rehearsing nonstop.
mizuki: Is that so? (sneakily steals the drink anyway) Woah, this is yum.
hinata: Team P look like they've been going through it. Rindou is so strict with them.
mizuki: That's just how he is. It's his way or the highway. It seriously pisses me off. You think so too right, Saki?
saki: Huh? You're asking me about Rindou-san? Um—
choice:
-He said that he wants to create a new Team P
-I think that he's serious about the stage
-I’m worried that something happened
>He said that he wants to create a new Team P
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
-present, office-
saki: Rindou-san said that he wants to create a new Team P.
mizuki: A new Team P? Then what the hell is the current Team P to him? (gulps down drink) He’s so up himself, pisses me off.
hinata: Ahaha, you really hate on Rindou way too much, Mizuki.
kongou: Mizuki’s never hidden his distaste for him. Anyways, I do hope that they manage to get through their show without incident. I’ll go and deliver this drink to Maica now.
…Hm? Why’s the bottle so light?

mizuki: Heheh, thanks for the drink! See ya~ Let's go, Hinata!
hinata: Huh!? I didn't even get to try some! Make one for me too next time, Kongou!

rindou: You’re saying that even though it's a Team P solo performance? I have no intention to make any compromises.
-present, starless office-
saki: I think that Rindou-san takes the stage very seriously.
hinata: I get what you mean~ He's almost like an honours student or something. He acts as if being diligent is the only correct way to be. He’s the type of person who would say that the most logical argument is always the correct one.
kongou: Is that really a fault though? The most logical argument would be correct, wouldn’t it?
hinata: Nope. Not always, Kongou.
mizuki: So basically, Rindou’s shit.
kongou: Anyways, I do hope that they manage to get through their show without incident.
—
>I’m worried something happened
-flashback, restaurant area-
rindou: Please be careful. I don’t want you to end up being taken advantage of as well.
-present, starless office-
saki: I think that something might have happened. I’m worried about Rindou-san…
kongou: True, Rindou is the kind of person to bottle up his feelings and push forwards. It would be better if he didn't try to carry whatever's burdening him all by himself.
mizuki: I don't get it. Like who cares about Rindou anyways?
hinata: Ahaha, Mizuki you're way too heartless!
kongou: Anyways, I do hope that they manage to get through their show without incident.

Chapter 3 SideB
-alleyway, day-
hinata: Sigh~ Iwa-san sure is taking his sweet time. Even though I told him that I had to talk to him… Oh well.
-hinata holds up phone to his ear-
hinata (on phone): Hello~? It's me, big bro. I’m waiting for Iwa-san at the moment. Remember that thing you said? I figured I’d meet up with him so I can pass it on to him.
You said it wasn't something that could be said over the phone, right? That's why I’m waiting for Iwa-san to show up… I wonder if he wandered off somewhere, I need to get back to work soon too.
hinata (on phone): Yeah, it's been super fun! Team B really are the best. I wish you could've seen our last show.
-iwami appears-
hinata (on phone): Ah, Iwa-san is here! I’ll call you again later, see you.
-hinata puts his phone away-
hinata: Iwa-san~ Over here, over here.

iwami: Yo, sorry for the wait… You look like you're in a good mood.
hinata: Of course I am! I got to play a really cool role in our fifth anniversary performance. I seriously love Team B so much. They’re all super close, we’re like brothers!
iwami: Like brothers huh? It appears you're enjoying being in the little brother position to the fullest.
hinata: Well yeah. My actual big bro said that he's happy for me as well~ Oh right, I was just on the phone with him, he says hi to you, Iwa-san.
iwami: …Tell him I said hello as well.
hinata: Sure thing~
iwami: So, what is it that you wanted to talk about? You said it couldn't be over the phone.
hinata: I’m passing on a message from my brother. He told me I had to tell you this in person.
iwami: A message? For me?
hinata: He said that BLACKCARD will be necessary soon.

hinata: I have no idea what that means though~ Is it about that black coloured card that you were looking for?
iwami: Ah, yeah, something like that.
hinata: Well you better put your back into finding it! You can't let that old man get a hold of it before you!
iwami: Which old man?
hinata: Ha! Se! Ya! Ma! He seriously pisses me off. I went and introduced myself to him and he was such an asshole about it. I wish we had’ve won that versus against him, then he would've been shocked speechless.
haseyama: Hahaha, true, he really would’ve been.
Please pass this on to your— To your brother for me. Tell him that I’ve begun making my own preparations as well. And that I also require a black card for them.
Though, Saki-chan and Sin’s cards have proven that they’ll be hard to obtain.
hinata: Are they the only ones that you can get?
iwami: I did have another one, but I’m not sure where it is now. Well, I suppose I’ll just have to go and ask the guy who took it off my hands.
–end
(note: Unlike other scenes that show characters on the phone, when Hinata talks to his brother, there are no beep sounds to indicate him picking up or ending the call.)

[BSTS] Main Story S6CH1 'Our Hands Can't Reach Tomorrow' - Part 1
big ol’ content warning for death of a family member and grieving on this one
Chapter 1-1
-flashback, street-
kei: What the black cards are… I cannot answer that now. As I am, I do not have the right to stay by your side. Since there is so much that I’ve been unable to tell you, I have caused you such sadness.
-present, outside starless, day-
saki: (Why did I decide to walk to Starless…)
unei: Oh, Saki-san~! I’m glad you’re here~!
saki: Unei-san. You surprised me… What's the matter?
unei: Kei-san said that you might not be coming today so I was worried.
saki: Kei-san said that?
unei: Did you two have an argument? That's hard to believe, since Kei-san is always doting on you. Ah, nevermind, that’s not what I wanted to say. The truth is the Boss told me that he wanted to talk with you.

saki: Huh? The owner does?
unei: Yes! I won't get scolded now, thank god~ Here, come with me.
saki: W-wait a moment. Why does he want to speak with me…!?
-haseyama’s office-
unei: Boss~ I’ve brought Saki-san as requested! –Ah, looks like he's in the middle of a phone call, he shouldn't take too much longer though. I’ll take my leave here.
-unei leaves-
saki: Ah, please wait, Unei-san…! He left…
haseyama: Hello there, young lady. My bad, I wasn't able to ignore that phone call. Anyways, I’m glad you decided to visit today. I’ve been waiting to see you~
Remember we spoke during the fifth anniversary performance as well? I decided to call out to you at that time, though things have been busy since then. I’m in a real pinch here, even my subsidiary company is in trouble.
saki: Ok…?
haseyama: So, young lady. I’ll get to the main topic. There's actually something that I’d like to ask you. You know the method to access what's on the black cards, don't you?

saki: The access method…?
haseyama: After I won that versus in May, as my reward I got that bastard Iwami to cough up some information. You have a black card don't you, young lady? And it's not a normal one either.
The card that I have is a low grade one y’see. I can't access any worthwhile information on it.
saki: I see…
haseyama: Hey now, don't just stare at me blankly. Don't try acting like you have no idea what I’m talking about. You have a black coloured card, don't you? A card that's completely black. I’m telling you to let me see how you use it.
saki: E-even if you ask me that I have no idea what this card even is.
haseyama: Hah, so you do have one after all. I didn't fully believe what Iwami had told me. The last thing I expected was for a normal looking lady like you to have used a black card.
I was completely and utterly fooled~ You’ve managed to hide it from me this entire time whilst visiting the store every other day.
saki: Um, what are you talking about?
haseyama: I’m the same, I’ve been here running this store for a long time without even knowing why. To be honest with you I was starting to get fed up with it. I’ve said it from the start, I have no interest in watching thugs jump about on stage.
And not to mention the fact I was gone for more than a year. Stuck in a hospital bed for that long. Do you know how many business opportunities I’ve lost because of that?
This is all because I took a bullet to protect you, young lady. Do you not remember that, huh?

saki: Um.. I am truly grateful for what you did for me back then. But I really don't know anything about these black cards.
haseyama: Come on now are you seriously still playing dumb? In front of the man who saved your life?
saki: Um, I really don't, um…
haseyama: Ohh~ I see, is that how it's gonna be then? You're quite the actress too huh. I guess that's to be expected of a black card owner. And so? How much is the info gonna cost?
saki: What do you mean? This isn't a money issue, I seriously just don't know anything about this card.
haseyama: You can quit the act now. Or are you trying to swindle more money out of me?
saki: No, you're misunderstanding.
haseyama: Then what is your motive here, huh?

-flashback, restaurant area-
rindou: Please be careful. I don’t want you to end up being taken advantage of as well.
-present-
-gui rushes into the room-
gui: Haseyama, do not get any closer to her.
haseyama: What the hell? Who said you could just barge into my room? I’m your employer, you know.
gui: Saki, Kei told me to come here. He said that it's not necessary for you to listen to what Haseyama has to say.
haseyama: Bastard! What are you saying all of a sudden? I’m the one who gets to decide whether or not it's necessary!
gui: …That is what Kei said.
haseyama: Damn it, if only you two weren't so sharp. You're indebted to me so I thought things would go more smoothly. Oh well, time will tell.
Hey, young lady.
gui: You can leave, Saki. Kei wants you to go to the rehearsal room. He said he wants you to talk to Rindou.
saki: (To Rindou-san?)
haseyama: Hey I’m talking to her!
gui: Go, Saki.

saki: O-ok. Um, please excuse me…!
-saki runs off-

Chapter 1-2
-rehearsal room-
sinju: Uu….
saki: Sinju-san!?
rindou: Sinju…
sinju: I’m sorry, Rindou. I made a mistake just now.
rindou: It appears you haven't memorised the choreography yet. Are you ok? It's probably best to make adjustments then. Nekome, I’d like to test having you cover for Sinju.
nekome: Huh? Me?
menou: Rindou, I can cover for him. The scene includes the three of us after all.
sinju: W-wait a sec, Rindou! I’m fine, I can dance!

rindou: Ok. Let's try it again one more time then.
maica: Wait, Rindou. Sinju’s body is already at its physical limit.
sinju: I’m fine, Maica. I’m telling you myself that I’m fine! Uwah…!
-sinju falls over-
saki: Sinju-san!? Are you sure you're ok!?
sinju: Sorry. Ow… My legs just got a little tangled…
rindou: He's fine, Saki-san. Sorry for worrying you.
maica: Are you being serious right now, Rindou? You've pushed him without a break for so long that his legs are exhausted.
rindou: I see, that may be true. But even so–
nekome: Rindou~ Aren't you pressing on the accelerator a bit too hard? We only just recently finished our fifth anniversary performance, how about we just take our time to ease into this new one today?
rindou: You’re saying that even though it's a Team P solo performance? I have no intention to make any compromises.
sinju: I- I don't want to have to make any compromises either! But um, I just got a little confused by the choreography, that's all… I didn't forget the steps. I’m sorry for getting them mixed up.
rindou: I get that. Just don't do it again. We need to re-examine the benchmark concerning the quality of our shows.
maica: The benchmark of our show's quality? What do you mean by that?
menou: He's getting pretentious again…
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.

sinju: A new Team P? What do you mean by ‘new’ exactly? As in a new type of show?
rindou: It's simple. We're just going to dig even deeper than we have been up until now, and perform our show. My goal has not changed. No matter what you're aiming for, we can work towards a new Starless. That is the kind of stage that Team P creates.
nekome: Rindou, that's…
maica: So it’s like we’re renewing our conviction then huh? Then sure, Rindou.
sinju: I’ll do my best in order to not look so shameful again!
menou: I’m fine with that too. Let's see if you can really do it, Rindou. If you can really create this new Team P that you're looking for.
rindou: Yes, I will. I’ve always been trying to do that from the very beginning.
saki: Rindou-san…
rindou: It's ok, Saki-san. Please look forward to Team P’s brand new show.

Chapter 1 extra
-haseyama’s office-
iwami: What is it? It's pretty rare for you to call me over.
haseyama: I’m making a claim for compensation. What you told me wasn't the truth now was it?
iwami: What are you talking about?
haseyama: The young lady! She just stared at me like she had no idea what was going on. Argh~ It was humiliating!
iwami: No idea what was going on huh… I see, so that's what this is about. She's surprisingly tough.
haseyama: She said that she had one.
iwami: Had what?
haseyama: A black card, obviously. She wouldn't show me it though. …Wait! I should've just made up something and convinced her to bring it out. Shit, why didn't I think of that earlier!
Anyways, Iwami. This is different from what you told me. If I can't tell if the information that you gave me is valid then it means you haven't fulfilled your end of the bargain. So you better pay me back in full.

iwami: You're pushing your luck, Haseyama. I already properly told you what I know.
You should probably be careful though, if that young lady is saying that she doesn't know anything about the black card… Then you shouldn't press her about it any further. You might just end up not even being able to recall what you can remember.
haseyama: I just don’t understand, that's the issue here. Lately my higher ups have been making a big fuss too. Despite having made me obtain this store and then left me to my own devices for five years.
In the end, I did end up making it so that the nearby gangs don't lay a hand on the young lady.
iwami: Maintaining the balance around here was your duty. In order to put those who are after that woman into a deadlock.
haseyama: Yeah… I was doing a pretty good job of it until I got hospitalised too. While I was in the hospital my higher ups managed to hold things together with their support, so I owe them.
So, Iwami? Why don't we make a deal now that we’ve known each other for six years?
iwami: A deal? Between you and me?
haseyama: For you to go as far as to make a bet with me there's obviously something that you're after as well.
iwami: …….
iwami: Nah, I’ll pass. I have to refuse.
haseyama: Oh? And why's that?
iwami: Cause when you said something similar six years ago I learnt the hard way that you were dishonest.
haseyama: What's this? It wasn't a bad deal though, was it?
iwami: There's always positives and negatives. There may have been a few positive aspects, yeah. Either way, back then it allowed me to escape when I needed to. So I’m grateful for that.
But that's the only thing I’m grateful for.

Chapter 1 SideA
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: You haven't memorised the choreography yet. Are you ok? It's probably best to make adjustments then. Nekome, I’d like to test having you cover for Sinju.
rindou: You’re saying that even though it's a Team P solo performance? I have no intention to make any compromises.
rindou: I get that. Just don't do it again.
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
rindou: It's simple. We're just going to dig even deeper than we have been up until now, and perform our show.
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
-present, starless lobby-
sinju: A new Team P, huh?

lico: How come you're looking so dejected? It’s not like you. Could you get back to cleaning though? We kind of need to get it done.
sinju: Ah, my bad! I’ll get right to it!
lico: Woah, wait, why do you stink? What is that, poultice? Just how many did you apply for the smell to be that strong?
sinju: Ah hahah~ Yeah. I had a bit of muscle pain so, y’know.
lico: Ohh, I did hear that Rindou’s gone full drill sergeant, is that right? Sounds like times are tough for Team P too huh. Mizuki won't stop going on about how Rindou’s shown his shitty true colours. It's seriously annoying.
sinju: Mizuki’s always hated Rindou.
lico: Yeah, there's no helping it at this point, he's always felt that way. There's no way he'd suddenly start liking Rindou now. It's a lot easier to suddenly come to hate someone. And so? Do you hate Rindou now?

sinju: No way! I could never hate him. I just wasn't able to properly carry out the choreography. But I’m fine now, I’ve got it all memorised.
lico: Hmm? Well, you heard him, Rindou. You must be pleased to see your team member is trying his hardest to prepare for the show.
rindou: Yes, I’m happy to hear it. That's the basic etiquette that’s required to be able to take to the stage.
sinju: ……..
lico: Wow, you really have turned into a drill sergeant. How strange, you're acting exactly like Kei. Did he convert you or something?
You were all getting along so well during tanabata and your performance was really well received too. Even though it was decided without notice you looked after Hinata during your ‘Dawn’ performance too.
rindou: I was pleased with the good reviews of our ‘Crossing Stars to Return Home’ performance. And Hinata gave it his all in our revival performances of ‘Dawn Doesn't Wait’.
But— No, nevermind.
I just had a thought on my mind. I figured that now is a good time to re-evaluate our shows, that's all. We need to face each other in order to make sure our stage does not come to an end. That's all there is to it.
sinju: That's, all there is to it…
lico: I don't really get it, but basically you're saying you're going to be changing how you perform your shows? If you're unsatisfied with how things are currently, then would changing up your team’s members be on the cards too?
rindou: I’m not opposed to the possibility.
sinju: Rindou?
lico: Hold up, are you seriously saying that?
rindou: Why are you surprised? If it's necessary, then I’ll do it.
If it's something that's necessary in order for us to perform in front of the guests, then I have no choice but to do it.
sinju: But this is the team that we all created years ago together. A lot has happened, but we all still got through it together, didn't we!?
And yet, you're speaking so coldy… has our show just been nothing but a product all along…?
lico: Sinju…
sinju: ……. (frustrated)

rindou: —The store will be opening soon, you two. Let's finish up the cleaning.
-rindou leaves-
lico: Scary… What the hell is up with him? Can a person really change so much so quickly? He’s lost it.
sinju: Rindou hasn't lost it.
lico: You’ve lost it in your own way too if you can still defend him after how he just spoke to you.
sinju: …… (frowns)

Chapter 1 SideB
-izakaya-
nekome: Good work today~
iwami: Good work. You can order first.
nekome: Woah, are you treating me? Don't mind if I do!
iwami: Who said I was treating you, no way.
nekome: Excuse me, miss, I’d like to order!
iwami: As always you're not listening.
-time pass-
nekome: Holy crap, the calamari rings are delicious, I could eat them forever. Downing a high ball after a hard day’s work is the best isn't it~? Oh, here, this serve of horse mackerel is for you.
iwami: And so, what did you want? It's rare for you to call me out.
nekome: Ah, it's nothing big, there's just something that I wanted to ask you. That woman (Saki)… Is it true that you actually told the owner about her?
iwami: Well yeah, that's what was promised. And you lost.
nekome: Could you not put it that way~? Besides, isn't that going against the agreement? Wasn't nobody supposed to lay a hand on her?
iwami: As long as she's around this part of the city, yeah. However that agreement has been pushed to the side for quite a while now, you understand that too, don't you?
Ever since Haseyama got hospitalised the balance around here has crumbled. There's a lot more groups thinking they can strike now and get what they want. Plus, it's a different story within Starless. The rules there are unwritten.
nekome: You sure can talk, it's as if you've rehearsed this presentation before.
iwami: You're just imagining things.
nekome: Did you deceive Haseyama in the same way? And now you're trying to do the same to me?

iwami: If I was trying to use words to deceive you I wouldn't do it in this way.
nekome: Hmm? Say, Kou-san, why did you come back? You had completely concealed yourself, that was enough, wasn't it?
You should've still been able to operate whilst remaining hidden. And yet, you still decided to return to Starless. Why did you show yourself?
iwami: ……. (sigh)
nekome: You told me once before, Kou-san. That you’d ‘sorted things out’, remember?
iwami: …Who knows. If that's what I said to you, then that must have been the case.
nekome: Kou-san…?
iwami: I sorted things out… Yeah. I must have.

Chapter 2
-flashback, rehearsal room-
rindou: You’re saying that even though it's a Team P solo performance? I have no intention to make any compromises.
rindou: I get that. Just don't do it again. We need to re-examine the benchmark concerning the quality of our shows.
rindou: It's simple. We're just going to dig even deeper than we have been up until now, and perform our show.
rindou: I want to create a new Team P.
-present, starless entrance, day-
saki: (Rindou-san…)
akira: Heyo, Saki-chan~ I’m so happy to run into you outside the store. Oh, what's this? You look like you're worried about something.
saki: Oh, no, It’s nothing. I think…
akira: Well if you walk into the store looking like that all the other guys will come and try cheer you up. Allow me to keep you all to myself before that happens.
-time pass, nearby cafe-
akira: Ahh, I see, so you're worried about Rindou and Team P, huh? There's no need for you to worry about them though, you're always so diligent. However the fact I got to have a date with you because of them is a bonus.
Rindou’s just too nice you see. Even if Sinju did forget the choreo, Rindou would take the time to thoroughly teach him it. If this was W then Kokuyou would work us to the bone and in the worst case scenario, he’d ask you to stay back to receive a punishment from his fists.
saki: Huh? From his fists!?
akira: Well, that was just a joke. It won’t be forgiven if you get on the stage without having the choreography down and disrupt the rest of your team because of it. Though, if you do forget and you’re able to quickly cover for yourself, you can get away with it.
saki: I see, so that's how it is.
akira: That's why there's no need for you to worry about it. It's fine, it's fine. But still, Rindou’s no good for showing that side of himself whilst you were there. Cause he made you worry I have no choice but to scold him. C’mon, let's get going.
saki: Huh?
akira: We’re going to Starless. I'll show you how I tell someone off.
-time pass, starless hallway-
akira: Heyy, Rindou~
saki: W-wait a moment, Akira-san. Um, I didn't mean that you have to—
rindou: What is it, Akira? Did you need something?

akira: You messed up, Rindou. It's not good to cause the guests concern. Saki-chan here was worried about you. She thinks you're being too strict with P. So what's going on? Did you decide to convert your ways to sparta?
rindou: Lico also asked me something similar. But I don't think that is what I’m doing.
akira: That's true. You’ve just reverted to how you were when you first came to Starless. Well, Mizuki isn’t with you this time, so it’s probably fine.
-haseyama appears-
haseyama: What are you thugs doing crowding around in the hallway? Disperse already. Oh, the young lady can stay though. I need to talk to her again–
akira: What’s someone like you doing out here? Go on back to your gaudy office already.
haseyama: The likes of you wouldn't understand the value of such a refined room. Oh, by the way, Rindou. I heard you've been doing well lately, hm?
rindou: Not really. I’m the same as always.
haseyama: Your body must feel lighter now that the burden on your heart has been lifted, right? (sarcastically) Oh my, I must offer my deepest condolences.
rindou: Your jokes are disgusting. Seriously.

rindou: I have things I need to do before our show starts, so I’ll be taking my leave here. Be careful, Saki-san.
-flashback, restaurant area-
rindou: Please be careful. I don’t want you to end up being taken advantage of as well.
-present, starless hallway-
saki: Rindou-san, what do you–
-rindou leaves-
haseyama: Wow, so scary, isn't he? Team P’s leader.
akira: What the heck was that about just now? How come you made Rindou so angry?
haseyama: Oh, it's nothing. He wouldn't want me to tell you.

Chapter 2 extra 1
-behind starless, day-
rindou: …….. (sighs sadly)

kokuyou: Oi, Rindou.
rindou: You next, huh?
kokuyou: Kuku, has everyone been going round and questioning you? Well, of course they would be.
rindou: If you're going to try and give me advice, I’m fine.
kokuyou: As if I’d do that. Your team is your business, you can run it however you want.
rindou: Thank you.
kokuyou: You don't have anything other than the stage right? That's what this is about, isn’t it?
rindou: (surprised) Kokuyou.
kokuyou: You really haven't changed. You're surprisingly bad at hiding things.
rindou: …Is that so? I thought I had changed at least a little though.
kokuyou: People don't change all that quickly. That’s why they call it your true nature. And you’ve decided what it is that you want to do, so I won't stop you.
But, if you need to, you can talk to me. We're not strangers, right?
rindou: ……..
kokuyou: Anyways, I came out here to inhale some nicotine. You wanna try smoking one too?
rindou: (dry laugh) No thanks. But I appreciate the sentiment. I’ll be heading back into the store then.
-rindou goes to leave-
kokuyou: Rindou… I’m sorry about your sister.
rindou: Thank you for your concern.
kokuyou: You don't want any of the others to know about it, right?
rindou: Yes, please don't tell them. I don't want to trouble them. As for the cast members, only you and Kei know.
kokuyou: Anyone else?
rindou: Only the owner. The stage is all that I have now.

-rindou leaves-
kokuyou: (smokes) Rindou… Don't go overdoing it.
–end

Chapter 2 extra 2
-rehearsal room-
rindou: ……..
rindou: You next huh, Kei? If you're here to give me advice I’ve heard enough already.
kei: Me? Give you advice?

rindou: True, you wouldn't say anything like that to me.
kei: Indeed. If I were to say anything it would be to commend your resolve.
rindou: (surprised) Kei.
kei: You don't think that the way you're going about this will work though, do you?
rindou: I’m aware that I’m going about it in a rough way. I know that.
kei: And yet, you still chose this method. With such resolve that you are prepared to not have anyone left following you.
rindou: Even if I try to explain myself to P, they won't understand. We’ve become too friendly with one another.
kei: Team B do just fine whilst getting along though, don't they?
rindou: The kind of stage that I’m aiming for is different from theirs.
kei: Hm. It's a question of whether you want to prioritise yourself or the group. With the stage before you, you must make that choice. And that is exactly what you’ve done.
The curtain will rise everyday, no matter what kind of trouble occurs. You must always be ready to put on the best show that there is.
rindou: Is that why you accepted C and B changing their stories during their bridal performances? In that case were profits not the goal for our revival performance of ‘Fragile Lake’?
When someone stands upon the stage, you can see them. So were you able to evaluate the resolve of all five of the leaders?
kei: Who can say. P’s tanabata performance was not bad.
rindou: I was not expecting to be given Hinata and Aogiri to look after straight after it though. I can't think of anyone other than you who would come up with such an idea for a training program.
kei: Hmph. I figured that would be a good excuse though.
rindou: And so? Were you able to ascertain whatever it was that you wanted to see?
kei: Indeed. I was able to verify the capabilities of those two. I am grateful for your cooperation.
rindou: There's no need to thank me. Since I was able to ascertain something as well.
kei: I see. And that is why you have steeled your resolve?
rindou: The stage is all that I have now.
kei: …Regarding your sister, I would like to offer my sincerest condolences.

rindou: Thank you for your concern. Please don't tell anyone else, I don't want to trouble them.
kei: Understood. It’s only Kokuyou and I that know, yes?
rindou: Yes, as well as the owner.

[BSTS] Heath Year End 2024 Reward 4* Card Story
(note: A cast ranking event was held ingame during the June Bride event earlier this year, Heath came first place.)

Chapter 1 -starless office-
heath: Welcome, Saki.
saki: Oh, sorry to barge in. Were you in the middle of a meeting?
heath: No, it’s fine. We were just talking about my bromide photoshoot.
saki: You’re going to be taking photos for a bromide?
heath: I was first place in the poll we held during our bridal performance. So this bromide will commemorate that.
unei: So many guests showed their support for Heath-san, so I decided on a fitting theme! I thought it would be a good idea for you to hold this crown. What do you think?
saki: That’s so cool! It would really fit the champion vibe.
heath: I mean, sure. I’m fine with whatever really.
unei: Yay! I’ll continue with getting things ready then!
-unei runs off-
saki: Unei-san sure is in high spirits, isn’t he?
heath: Yeah, I don’t see why we needed to make bromides though.
saki: Huh, how come? Do you not want to celebrate coming first?
heath: I’m not good at photos. The set is always so formal that it’s suffocating. And the lights are really bright. I’m not comfortable in that kind of atmosphere.
saki: Ah, I see. It’s true that a photoshoot can have it’s own unique kind of tension.
heath: I’m not a model, I’d rather celebrate through performing. I’m happy I received so much support, and giving that gratitude shape is the only way I can express it.
saki: Fufu, I’m sure everyone will be pleased with that. I’m looking forward to the show too. Where will you be taking the bromide photo?
heath: In the show hall. A simple set is going to be put together on the stage. There’s not many other places you could take photos here. If you’re interested, why don’t you come and watch the shoot?
saki: Is that ok? Do you not dislike being watched while your photo is being taken?
heath: I wouldn’t like it if it were a stranger, but I don’t mind if it’s you watching. Rather, with you there I think I’ll feel more comfortable.
-
Chapter 2 -starless restaurant area-
heath: Thanks for coming, Saki. Feel free to watch for as long as you want. The set has already been put together, so we should be starting the shoot soon.
saki: Woah, what a cool set. It’ll really make you look like a king.
heath: Yeah, I guess. I can’t let myself get upstaged by the set though.
unei: Heath-san, I’m done setting up, you can come to the stage now!
heath: Coming.
-starless stage-
unei: Ok, hold this crown and pose please!
heath: What kind of pose?
unei: Whatever pose that you think suits being first place!
heath: …Ok.
-cg
unei: Perfect, keep looking at the camera! Just raise the crown a little higher!
heath: Like this?
unei: Ah, yes that’s a good angle! Ok, now give the camera a big smile~!
heath: ……..
unei: Please give me a smile~~!
-cg gone, unei runs forwards
unei: I want to take a photo of you smiling like you’re happy you just took first place!
heath: You told me to pick whatever pose I wanted though.
unei: Huh~? I think a smile would be nice though…. Ah, wait! Could it be that you’re hungry? Maybe you’ll be in the mood to smile once you've had a good meal? I’ll go and grab your staff meal for you!
-unei leaves-
heath: Huh? I’m not that hungry though… Oh well.
saki: Good work, Heath-san.
heath: Sorry, it’s probably not very exciting to watch.
saki: No, I’ve been having fun. You looked cool sitting on the throne.
heath: Could you come over here for a sec, Saki?
-saki steps onto the stage-
heath: Here, I want you to have this first place crown.
saki: Huh? But isn’t that yours?
heath: Yeah, but that’s why I want you to have it. Because it’s thanks to you being here that I was able to take first place. “Thanks, I’m looking forward to your continued support” that’s what I’d like to say in giving you this crown.
saki: Are you sure? Thank you. I’ll always be looking forward to seeing your new shows as well.
heath: (smiles) Thanks. Hearing you say that is what makes me the happiest.
saki: …….
saki: Say, if you smiled like that for the photo wouldn’t it be perfect?
heath: Nah, there’s no need for that. From the start, I’ve always put everything that I want to express as ‘Heath’ into my lyrics. A smile doesn’t suit that persona. You’re the only one who needs to know about this side of me.
