the way usamericans talk about their military fucks me up. thank you for what service like which service are they providing you with. they're protecting your country from what. they're fighting for the freedom of whomst. why do they need to do that for and why are they doing in it in the middle east
#there's lines from multiple random fire nation civilians like this in the third book and it's excellent#I just think its actually a very good way to try and help american kids to begin to grasp their own brainwashing#and does a real service to its young audience in that way#especially when these fire nation civilians no longer seem evil or twisted they're quite normal but deeply misguided#you need that kind of sympathetic approach to begin swallowing when you're wrong#I just hope people were able to see it in the metaphor i know some missed it but like they say the pledge of allegiance in fire school help

#they could have gone sooo corny with the last lines but instead it's just something extremely charming and believable#lupin iii#this is a good show if you're tired of shonen but still want something action that's low investment and playful I feel#you can just slap it on and have a fun time and see some cool looking animation at least once#and some writing moments that will pleasantly surprise you by being refreshing#even if most of the episode was cliche#it was meant for sindication so you can just watch it. for 20 min and be done#sort of like adventure time somehow
