i know an engineer-type dude who said fiction bored him, because fiction is mostly-formulaic and tropey, and you can generally guess what’s gonna happen next, and yada yada

so his solution for this problem was… to solely read serial web novels in languages that (1) he did not speak, and (2) for which there was no actual translation, fan or otherwise

apparently, the combined forces of “trying to figure out WTF is going on via the power of Google Translate" + “cultural differences in storytelling conventions” + “the inherent randomness of where the hell amateur authors are gonna take their plots”—those all mashed up to make stories that were unpredictable enough to keep him guessing all the time

then he described to me this totally batshit-sounding Hungarian story he’d been obsessively reading once a week for years

and god i think about him all the time.  like.  that is the most wild way to process fiction that i have ever heard of, but also, i’ve gotta admire the sheer chaos energy of it

Dark Academia

 Dark academia is not just about

 wearing ‘Dark academic outfits or

 saving dark Academic inspo stuff.or

wearing silver/gold jewelry

or over-caffeinating your body

or reading classics/plays/book(or listening music) that you don’t fancy

or getting vintage items as a showpiece

or being that ideal ‘Dark Academia boy/girl’

definitely not about getting motivated to smoke, drink or doing anything that harms your body, mind or soul

It is about

actually motivating yourself to study

actually putting in efforts ,working really hard and getting the results

using non-conventional methods to LEARN and achieve YOUR goals

spending your leisure time while doing something constructive

following a disciplined lifestyle

Appreciating the past and working for the future

Appreciating and respecting music and culture, not necessarily like it

wearing a style you feel most comfortable in

Maintaining yourself

taking care of yourself

reminding yourself not to murder humans

becoming a better version of yourself,  whom you love!

Trans people don't need to disclose that they're trans to you before you date them but i definitely think cis people should start disclosing they're cis instead of just saying "im a girl/boy" cause dating a cis person is a commitment not everyone has the time for. Like buying a bird
