Change your publication date

Hey there since reveal is coming up here in a little bit, if you want your fics to show up at the top of the list in the supercorp/sanvers tag you have to edit the fics publication date.

To do that go in to edit your fic and scroll down to the association box. There’s a small checkbox that says set a different publication date, edit that to the 25th and you’ll ne good to go.

How to post to AO3

Hi everyone! It’s getting awfully close to the posting deadline so I thought I’d do a quick tutorial on how to post to AO3 for this exchange just in case anyone had any questions. :D

1. On AO3 in the top righthand corner there’s the post button, click new work.

2. Scroll down and fill out all of the lovely boxes in the sections marked tags and preface for your fic. 

3.  Super important, fill out the box for collection with 

Supergirl Femslash Secret Santa 2023 (SupergirlFemslashSecretSanta2023) and the box for gift this work to with the ao3 username of your giftee.

4. Paste your fic in the last box, make sure to click rich text, it keeps your formatting from wherever you copied it from.

And then post. TA-DA you’re done. But you definitely have to hit post, not save to drafts otherwise it won’t go in the collection and I won’t see it to check you off as done. So remember to hit post!

But what if I’m posting gifs/art/images? How Do I do that?

Disregard clicking on rich text, we’re about to do some HTML coding like the true hackers we aren’t. 

1. Host your images somewhere. Can be anywhere, you can save them on tumblr as a private post (though with tumblr’s new filter system that might be iffy) dropbox, imgur, and tinypic are all options, so long as you can obtain your image URL.

2. Take that image URL you just got, and paste it into this bit of code

that will embed your pictures/art/gifs on the ao3 page for all of us to enjoy. Post as regular and everything should be cool.

BIG NOTE: Once you post your stories to the collection until they are revealed they won’t be visible in your normal works page. They’ll be under the works in collection button, so don’t freak out about that.
