Santos sat back in his chair, drink in hand and his eyes drank her in. “That ay be true.” He paused for a moment. “I tend to be one that does get what he wants.” He took a small sip, his eyes never leaving hers. 

“You’re not the only one”, came her short and concise response. She wasn’t amused by most of the others in pantheon. Be it her own or any other. Most of them often undermined her mother and she had no idea why. Her mother is the goddess of death, destruction and life. She was far older than most of these other deities. Serena was a bit reserved due to that.

“I don’t know. If I find out, I’ll let you know.” It’s the least I can do in return.” Serena didn’t really plan on spending too much time around here, she was constantly on the move. Nowhere was safe for someone like her.

No. She didn’t want it now. Only difference was she was considering it, just enough to be polite. “I’m not off work for another 2 hours”, she explained. Serena didn’t think he wasn’t going to be hanging around for two hours, just to get a cup of coffee with her.

“My kind, is that right?” It wasn’t her fault he clearly had issues with her ‘kind’, whomever he was referring to. “Keris, I do not intend to be in your way.” Kali only wanted to greet him, and a few others in this land. “If I have upset you with my presence, I will let you be.”

He raised an eyebrow. “So, what? You expecting me to take you with me?” He asked and snorted. “In your dreams, princess.” He said and walked past her, heading away from the courtyard. He could feel her magic, but it was none of his business. Alexandre had met others with magic aswell, so she wouldn’t be any different. Once he got to the town, he got up on his horse’s back. “Lets go home, Deamhan.. We’ll try again soon.” He said, patting the horse’s strong neck.

Serena didn’t really care what he had to say on the matter. She hated being called princess, the title just rubbed her the wrong way. As he walked away from her, she moved quickly with stealth until she made her way towards a free horse. Making sure the horse was comfortable, she hopped on and made her way towards the thief, now side by side with him. “Try again” she smirked.

Lucas smirked as he teased the cute detective. “What did I do yesterday?” he pointed towards one of the waitresses across the bar, “Her.” Lucas laughed at her facial expression as he took another drink. “I mean you were available so I had to enjoy her.” 

“What brings you here Serena? As much as I would enjoy teasing you all evening, I do have more bourbon to drink.” 

When he pointed towards one of the waitresses, she groaned inwardly and rolled her eyes at him. He was such an ass. Of course he would come up with some crock story or alibi. She wouldn’t actually be surprised if he actually was with the waitress yesterday. But she knew that he did it, he had to. It had his mark all over it. 

“It’s Detective, to you”, Serena snapped. He could easily get under her skin, but she had to try to make sure he didn’t know how he affected her. “We really going to do this? We both know you took out Wilson Creed, and I’m going to catch you red handed soon. Very soon. Just thought you’d like a friendly heads up.”

“We could. We could have a lot of things. But not everyone can have what they want.” Her words were calm and collected, with a thin smile playing across her lips.

He trusted information about certain types of monsters a lot more from actual literature rather than stuff that anyone could put on the internet, not to say there were decent websites out there. Maybe he was just old school.

Serena shook her head from side to side slowly. “Just trying to look into some historical sites around here.” She wasn’t about to tell him the truth, and sound like she was talking nonsense.

Why he was so intent on having coffee with her, was beyond her comprehension. Crossing her arms in front of her, Serena looked up at him as she tilted her head a little to the right. “Sure. Coffee”, she reluctantly agreed. What could he possibly have to talk to her about, over coffee.

“Oh sure you could. I’m sure you’ve dealt with far more pressing issues” came the playful response, from Serena. “What’s wrong with using your hand?” She countered. As he sat down by her side, next to the tub, Serena raise her brow and leaned back settling in more comfortably. Her breasts were now half out of the water, the lower half of it just barely covered.

“Having coffee with an old enemy?” Serena scoffed at the idea of them being enemies. She just didn’t like or care for him. It seemed like an oxymoron. God he was annoying. “I’m busy”, she cut him off, hoping he would leave.

“I am a many of many talents,” Felix said. “Many…persuasions. I am sure you and I could find some time to spend the evening, if you would so desire.” He smiled, gesturing towards his private table at the club. “Tell me, what is it you desire most?”

It wasn’t often that Serena came out to a place like this. She was either working most nights at the prison or at home. Every now and then, when she felt like mixing it up a little, Serena got dressed up and went out. There were a few drunk nights that probably shouldn’t have happened, given her job. It was all in the past. When the man who was standing near her suddenly started talking to her, she had tried to pay attention but wasn’t really interested. She was used to men like him. And they were just trouble. “Sleep on some nights”, came her nonchalant reply.

Both of them tended to be dominant and wanting to take over and be the one in control. It got to the point of them having fights over who took control in the bedroom but he knew better to allow Serena to have control once in a while. “Baby, my entire clothing might be off by the time I get through the door.” He said winking. Andrew finished up the last little bit before he went home. He remove his shirt and pants as he found her in the bathroom. “Good girl. I’m proud of you for listening.”

She hadn’t expected him back this early, so she was very surprised when he did show up while she was still in the tub. “What are you doing here...” Her question was cut off when she noticed that he had already started stripping. “Nope. I’m not getting out of this tub” her head shook from side to side, playfully. She wasn’t naked because she was listening to him, but she wasn’t going to argue with him about that point. “Good boy. You listened too”, Serena mocked with a small smile.

When he did see Serena laugh it was rare but it was something that he wanted to see more of and get her to do a lot more than she has. Andrew raised his eyebrow and licked over his lips. “I’ll be there soon and when I get home I want you naked. No more of my shirt. Completely naked and waiting for me. You got that?"he said bringing out the Dom in him.

His words had her feeling flushed, but her smirk stayed in place. They were probably both too dominant for their own good, but that’s where the fun started. Pressing her chest into his, she gave him a lustful smile. “No promises. Don’t worry I won’t be wearing your shirt. You won’t be wearing yours either” she stated, before taking a step back. Straightening herself up, she quickly walked out of his office and made her way home. Serena didn’t know how long it would take him to get here. She was bored, and definitely in the mood to play. Serena was in the tub, soaking and relaxing with epsom salts.

“Well it is when we were such good friends at university”he laughed looking at the woman “ I will see you later Serena”he said looking at the woman as she let the man from her father taking off the handcuiffs. When they were alone he talked to him and when he was finished he walked to Serena’s office “ Hey I am finished and your officer let me out. I was wondering… Would you like to have a coffee with me when you are finished with work?”

Looking up, she was surprised to see him in her office. Why the heck was he still here. Putting on a professional smile, she was ready to answer whatever questions he had. Instead, he asked her out to coffee. Serena did a good job of hiding the shock on her face. “Did you really walk in here to ask me out for coffee?” Standing up from her seat, she crossed her arms in front of her. Given their past, it seemed an odd thing for him to do. Given who she was, and her personality, it was even stranger for him to ask.

She frowned a little at the other woman’s attitude, it had been an honest mistake.  Sam could feel her stubborn side starting to wake up, “surely there’s enough beach here for us to share? Besides, that area over there doesn’t take long to fill up, Bertha ” she put her bag down.  “Sorry, since you won’t tell me your name, I figured I’d have to give you one so I don’t feel awkward calling you ‘oi!’” Admittedly there were prettier names Sam could’ve picked, “you look like a Bertha,” she lied, as she looked out to sea.

Hearing the other woman speak, Serena was convinced she needed to find a place free of humans to go hang out. Where could that possibly be, she thought this was as good a spot as it got. Her face scrunched up at being called Bertha. Clearly the other woman wasn’t leaving anytime soon. “Oh please, don’t feel awkward on my account. And you look like an annoyance.” Had she really said that last part out loud. Oh well. She deserved it.

With a few more chews, Sidney was done with his bagel. Standing up, he threw the trash into the nearest trashcan and looked toward her, signaling for her to follow him as he made his way out of the little bagel shop. “Whatcha looking to go to the library anyway/ Seems kind of old school to even set foot in them these days.”

Serena quickly followed him and answered his question. “I want to find a map, one that isn’t exactly available online. With really old archives, some people don’t bother to put it up online, thinking nobody wants access to it.” She didn’t tell him that she was trying to find a place with little to no luck. A place that she was convinced only Faes even knew of.
