It's called "Strangers on the Phone" and there's a sequel called "Strangers don't Write Love Letters"
have you read any celebrity clexa au's? any favorites?
There’s the one where Lexa is a pop star??? And they meet over the phone I think? I, for the life of me, don’t remember what it’s called but I think Clarke called the wrong number? And it was like worldwide sensation, global superstar Lexa who picked up? And they started talking? And then Lexa didn’t tell her who she was until WAY later? Something like that. It was a fun read…I think. Pretty sure that’s the only “celebrity” one I’ve ever read completely. I enjoyed it as far as I remember.
I’m really picky about what I read. Bad writing gets on my nerves and I know within the first or second chapter if I can tolerate a story. If I read an entire fic it’s because it’s at least fairly decently well written and I’m pretty sure I read that one in it’s entirety.

As a teacher this is important.
Help Eliza Taylor Build Her School
Tumblr media
As you have probably noticed from my Instagram, I have two beautiful god children living on the Island of Koh Tao, Thailand - Kasper and Pepper. Their parents, two of my best friends, moved there from Australia seeking inner and outer peace, stronger community and stronger values for their children to grow up with.
Tumblr media
Kasper’s lovely Thai and Myanmar immigrant friends were slowly leaving the island, many without their parents, to go to school far away where they could get a better education at an affordable price. Much of the Thai community couldn’t afford the cost of the private school on the island, run as a small business venture with no proper curriculum or accreditation. In fact, most children would never be able to access anything above a basic Thai education, something that Myanmar immigrant children would never benefit from when they return home, where Thai is not spoken.
Tumblr media
To cut a long story short, Claire and I decided we would attempt a Not for Profit School, that was run only to cover its own costs to keep the fees as low as possible. As we did the numbers, we realized the more children that went to the school the lower the school fees would go and more children would have access to it. Most importantly families could stay together. 2 years later the school has become a reality and the children are thriving, however- the space they rent together with a private kindergarten is being sold. The school can’t afford to move. When I came to visit I could see the education standard was fantastic, but if we could achieve rent free land then resources like playground equipment, proper sized classrooms and flushing toilets would be attainable.
Tumblr media
So this is where you step in. My hope is that you and I together can save Koh Tao International Primary and help to further develop the Not for Profit structure so that it can be replicated in other parts of the World like Thailand and Myanmar.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. We have a list of Thai and Burmese children waiting for the fees to lower so they can attend the school. These kids really need us. Your contribution will mean the world to them and me. Thank You, Love EJ Help spread the word!

Interesting
I find it interesting that while "Olicity" is currently winning the MTV SotY award, I'm not seeing posts about them cheating. Pretty sure it wouldn't be so quiet if Clexa were winning. Just saying.

We went on a The 100 finale location scavenger hunt and we found Raven's gate. (Scene shot on the other side of the fence). This is where Clarke tells Lexa she loves her. 😢

Wow
Ok, so I have been reading A LOT of disturbing posts lately.  People, we must stick together here, not tear each other down. Love is love, gender identity is whatever the person involved wants and feels it to be.  It is no one else’s business to tell anyone how they should feel or how they should identify. There are a lot of complaints about how the straight community reacts to and fails to understand the queer community yet the discourse on this site between members of our own community is often more degrading and detrimental than anything I have heard a straight, person say.
We had a meeting at work a few weeks ago, where an alumni from our school did an education piece on LGBTQ+ for the staff.  I am one of 4 queer staff on site, so it was interesting to hear the presentation take place and the reaction from the straight staff members in attendance.  I will admit that by the end of the hour, I was angry; I thought I worked with more enlightened people.  However, in retrospect, it was only one or two that made questionable comments and it was a lack of knowledge and feeling as though what they thought was true, was actually right, and resistant to change.
So, I will tell you all what I told a grade 6 teacher in my school.
“When a young person is questioning their identity, either gender or sexuality, it is not your job to educate them on what the different terms mean. They will figure that out as they go. It is NOT okay for you to tell them that everyone feels that way, that everyone is confused sometimes. That is not going to help, they will feel as though you are brushing them off, that their feelings are not valid.  It IS your responsibility to assure them that however they are feeling is ok. If they are biologically male but feel female and vice versa, that is ok.  If you feel like you want to be a boy today and girl tomorrow - that’s ok. If you don’t feel like either, that is also ok.  It is ok to not be sure, it is ok to wonder and ask questions. It is ok to seek help, or just to talk. It is our responsibility as caring adults to show compassion and understanding to the young people in our care, regardless of what form that confusion may take.  Young people need to feel safe talking to us, they need to know that they can talk to us when they need to without fear of judgement or reprisal.  That is your job. If you are not comfortable talking to young people about this in a positive, educated way, then direct them to someone who is. Send them to me.”
For all of you that are creating upsetting discourse amongst our own community - shame on you. Support each other!  Every single person matters and is valuable in their own right.  By throwing out anti-trans, homo, bi, cis, nb, you are ultimately only hurting yourself. Together we are strong, together we will change the world into a place where we can each be our true selves and accepted by everyone as ‘normal’. Because normal is what we make it, but if we can’t support one another in our different queerness, how can we expect anyone else to?
