✨ One Step at a Time ✨

         Not knowing how you got to a place was one thing, but not knowing where your going was another entirely. He was... generally good with direction. Generally. But currently he had no idea what city he was or what country or even time for that matter. All he knew was that he was supposed to go to the Chamomile apartments -- Wherever that was. And take up residency there and that there was a room waiting for him. In truth, this situation probably isn’t the weirdest thing that’s happened to him but it was pretty high up there.

          A map would be helpful.. Or anything. Someone he knew would be nice too, but as of late talking to people gave him this sort of anxiety that was hard to shake. Serious faces adorned most passerbys until he saw a girl that seemed a little younger than his own age and not quite so terrifying looking. He let out a sigh before approaching. His voice was pretty calm and lips adorning a small, welcoming smile. “Sorry to bug you, But I have absolutely no idea where I’m going!”

             For being lost completely and no idea what to do, he sure did appear pretty friendly.

         Just the feeling of unpacking was odd enough, growing used to never quite being stationary so just the feeling of... allowing himself to be still, to call a bed his own for whatever amount of time it may be.. It all just felt so weird and put him a bit on edge. Sure, travelling across the world was tiresome but it was nice, it was peaceful and the quiet with only his spirits as company often kept the demons and the fear away. Going back to a normal life with surplus human interaction was... a bit terrifying. 

         By the fact that there was only one queen bed in the bedroom, but the apartment itself was quite large he... hoped that maybe he’d at least be staying alone. How he got money for this or even showed up, he had no clue. He assumed it would be Jesse funneling him funds like usual on his journeys but that still didn’t change the fact that he had no idea why he was here, other than the glow of the dragon and his whisper telling him he had a war to fight. 

         Hearing the door creak open, knowing full well that he locked he, it must be.. a roommate. With a heavy sigh, he took a deep breath to calm himself. It was fine. People are fine... this would be alright. A bit of a forced smile and a skip to his step, he walked out of the bedroom door with a cheerful, “Hey there!” Before stopping dead in his tracks at the sight of the person before him. 

                                                                           Yusei.

         He froze for a moment and just stared. Okay... this made... zero sense. But he couldn’t stop the overwhelming feeling of relief that he saw a familiar face would be staying him and it was someone he trusted and suddenly the crimson dragons words rang in his ears... “You won’t be fighting alone.” Smile faltering, his mouth hung open with eyes wide for a moment before all but launching himself forward to embrace the other, the calming aura that was Yusei surrounding him. “Yusei...! Long time no see!” At east, it was a long time for him.
