kiboumukou‌:
People believe in the most outrageous things, anything that would give them any sense of security and order. An edge over their peers or a safeguard against a merciless world. This was why Towa City believed when their benefactor, the Towa Group, fed them with lies about the Tragedy while keeping them in an isolated bubble while the society around the globe crumbled into dust. The Future Foundation were in cohorts with the Despairs and it is their conspiracy, the local press said, despite the former was funded only after the Tragedy was triggered, made of what remained of the Hope’s Peak Academy’s assents and its associates. The people believed in this, thirsty to believe that their saviors would keep the horrors at bay. In the end, it was the place where one of the bloodiest events of the Tragedy took place — one orchestrated by Enoshima and executed after her death. Like the people of Towa City, the Warriors of Hope wanted to believe in their savior and big sis, Enoshima, and their beloved leader Monaka. To their dismay, they were all manipulated and used by both of them. None of them mattered to either, being merely a fodder to the insane girls have their way. And in the end, Monaka too was used by Junko —but it was inconsequential. It wasn’t expected she would be able to truly corrupt Naegi’s younger sibling: either she would do it, or become the successor herself…Or nothing. It didn’t matter. It was merely a way to stir more despair and perhaps spark a second wave. Yet, if it failed it would still be okay: Enoshima’s endgame was still coming. …And it would be Kamukura’s turn to use her like she used him.
Emerging from the shelter he’d chosen, it would be a simple matter to leave the town and proceed with the plan. Everything had been so predictable that only aggravated his boredom, even if he had come earlier to that place to see the events unfolding. A voice was carried by the wide, empty streets and reached him effortlessly. A glance at her school uniform and he could tell it was a pre-Tragedy memento given to her, something hauling from the capital. He had seen her in the screens by the hotel: it was Naegi Makoto’s younger sister and the would-be successor, Komaru. The irony wasn’t lost on the vessel for talent, who was going to bait the girl’s brother soon as he got out of the town.

Their eyes met, the dark-clad figure had stopped walking and stood quietly as waiting for her reaction. Would her instincts kick in and recognize the threat or give him the benefit of the doubt like her brother would? Perhaps she would provide something unexpected, even if highly unlikely? Nevertheless, he still had time to spare.
komaru was approaching at a rapid pace when the stranger turned, and she saw the glimmer in his crimson eyes. there she stopped, if only for a moment, to stare. there was an ominous wind coming from him, as if she could taste the misfortune there in the air. something... was definitely weird about this, she decided, without being able to put her finger on it.
she wouldn’t let that stop her. it was her job to be protector of the city, after all! whether this guy were friend or foe, it didn’t matter. if he was a friend, she’d help him. and if he was a foe, well... maybe a solid kick in the shin would do.

“who are you?” she asked him, once again coming forward to stand just a couple feet away. her voice was wary, unlike before. “i’ve never seen you around before. and i’d definitely remember somebody like you.”
he looked like an anime villain. komaru had seen enough inuyasha to notice that, even if her mainstay was typically shoujo manga. what a creep, she decided. even if he is actually nice, he gives off the totally wrong vibe!
