2017 - It started out with time in the studio, then NAMM, a Battleground photoshoot, and a night at the Whisky a Go Go. Then we took it further, more photoshoots, multiple charity events for amazing causes like Rockin a Cure for CF, Save America's Children, and to help our dear friend Tony Smith. After a successful end to the Wright Records Battle of the Bands, we met with Wright Records and signed a contract, which led to radio interviews - HUGE Thanks to our friends Zig Ray and The Zig Zone at KaoticRadio.com, Rock Rage Radio, C4OCradio.net LLC. and Karen Marine with KTST FM Anaheim!! - and finally, the release of our debut album, Struck by Lightning!! We had an epic CD Release Party that so many of our fans, family and friends came to!! We'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to all our fans, family, and friends who came out to support us, and who continue to believe in us!! We're looking forward to making 2018 ROCK!!

11-11-17 Our album release party for "Struck By Lightning" was an absolute success! We couldn't have done it without everyone who came and played, helped set up, and cheered us on! A huge shout out to Wright Records, Hold Fast, The 95th, Strange World, DNA, Jexzi, our family and friends, and, most of all, our awesome fans! You guys are incredible! ❤️🤘🏼

It was awesome being on Kaotic Radio last night with Zig Ray!!! We got to talk with awesome people and show off our music on the air. Couldn’t be a better night!!! A big thanks to @kaoticradio for having us!!! These guys rock!!!

10-27-17 We played in Wright Records' Rocktober Show at the Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa this week and had a blast!!! We were excited to be playing there again and alongside great bands!!! For the costume contest, we dressed up as the Suicide Squad (and Batman) and tied for first place, winning $500 worth of recording time!!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported, thank you to Wright Records for inviting us to play, and a HUGE thank you to our friend, Katie Ruud, for doing The Machine's and The Hammer's makeup!!! They looked incredible!!! What an awesome night!!!

10-8-17 Today we were able to rally with several other talented hands to raise money for a great cause. We had a blast playing for a fundraiser for our dear friend Tony. We were able to raise a significant amount of money to help him and his family with his treatment, and we couldn't be happier for being a part of it. Thank you so much for everyone who came out and supported. You're all incredible! 🤘🏼

​We are proud to announce that SURGE has won SECOND PLACE in the Wright Records's BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us!!! A special thank you to the other bands who played alongside us in the final round and played their hearts out and showed the utmost kindness throughout the competition: Alive in Lights, Rooftop Riot, Revolution Underground, Radium, and Rise. We couldn't be prouder to play alongside such awesome bands. Congratulations to REVOLUTION UNDERGROUND for winning the final round and being such amazing competitors!!! Thank you to Wright Records and Nathan Wright for presenting us with this amazing opportunity. We are excited for what comes next and cannot wait to keep playing for you!!!! Stay tuned and rock on!!!

We had an amazing time playing for Gone Avery's ​​​​​album release party at DiPiazza''s!!! We got an awesome opportunity to play alongside awesome bands Manifest Illusion, DAB, CHASOM, and Red Letter Day!!! We were so psyched to see Gone Avery reach such success and  put out their first album!!! Thank you to everyone who came out, to all the bands who played, and a special thanks to Nathan Wright and Wright Records for giving us this amazing opportunity. Congrats to Gone Avery!!!

SURGE had the amazing opportunity of performing for the first annual Bruisers and Cruisers Car Show, hosted by the Prison City Derby Dames! Thank you to the Let It Be Foundation and the Prison City Derby Dames for giving us this amazing opportunity! We had a blast playing for this event! And thank you to Manifest Illusion, Broken Apollo, and DNA for coming out and playing with us!!! You guys are all amazing! We hope to see you all again next year!

We had an amazing time on KTST FM radio show!!! We were able to talk with some amazing people about bullying and the importance of everyday heroes!! We made some great new friends and talked with them about our music, our time on the stage, and even got to debut our original songs on the air!!! Thank you so much to the MDK radio show for having us and for introducing us to such amazing people, and thank you especially to the host, Karen, for having us on!!! We had an awesome time on the air!!!

Surge had an amazing time playing at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood! We had the opportunity to open for Faster Pussycat and play with other amazing bands such as Angel City Rockers, Scarlet Vice, Blaxmyth, and Proland. We couldn't be more thankful for everyone who showed up that night to show their support for us and the other bands. We hope to return to the Whisky soon and rock out another show for everyone!
