Is that how this works? || Susie&Vic

Victoria: glanced up, surprised to see Susie in front of her. Where in the world had she come from? She hadn't heard the door open and shut since she'd arrived. "Hey," she said with an easy smile, brow furrowing only slightly at the other woman's words. "Of course I'm here. I said I would be." Standing now, she added, "Where did you come from, anyway?" It was then, with the new angle, that she saw it: a small table that was already set, complete with candles. "Oh," she said, surprise coloring her tone as she regarded Susie. "Did you do all this?"

Susie: didn't know what she was doing here. It was obvious that she had no intention of just being Victoria's friend. That had been evident for months now; however, she didn't know if this was a date or not. It was all too confusing. "Over there," she nodded behind her with a nonchalant shrug. Noticing the blush, she immediately kicked herself internally. Was that a bad sign? A good one? The blonde couldn't decide either way. "I did... is that a bad thing," she asked feeling even more out of her depths. "We can do away with the candles or everything. It's just food with... friends."

Victoria: wasn't usually the nervous type, but she'd been antsy all day - Susie's text distracted her from her job search. And while she had had dinner with Susie before, she didn't know what to expect from the evening. She had heard, of course, that Susie had been running around kissing plenty of ladies - and while that left a sour taste in her mouth, she knew she had no right to feel that way. In the end, she showed up to the courtyard a little earlier than she had been told to, dressed in a simple black dress that brushed the tops of her knees, paired with dark green flats and emerald green earrings. She sat on a bench facing the fountain in the middle of the courtyard, waiting patiently for Susie to show up.

Susie: didn't know what had come over her. When she had asked Victoria to dinner it was on a whim. She really had missed her company, but the fact of the matter was she still didn't truly have many answers. Things weren't exactly less confusing, though she had gained some clarity since going away. Dressed in one of her older sun dresses and flats, she hadn't put much effort into her appearance. She wanted to keep it classy but simple. They were friends having dinner. Since spending time with her father, she had learned a few recipes. Off to the side was a table sat with southern food and sparking apple cider. A few candles might've been included. The only thing missing was Victoria herself. Rounding the corner, she found her seated on the bench. She appeared so untouched from it all. Clearing her throat, she made her presence known. Susie was admittedly nervous as she hadn't seen the brunette since being back. "Hey uh... I wasn't sure if you would show..."

Avia had spent most of her day since arriving, in her room. Familiarizing herself wth it and getting her things sorted out. New places didn’t frighten her per say, they just made her a little anxious. That’s probably why she’d started playing the soundtrack, to make her feel a little more at ease. “Oh? That’s good. I feel like musicals only entertain a select few. Most people are more into what’s topping the charts at the moment.” She shrugged, raising an eyebrow before nodding at the question. “Right – yes, that’s me. They’re not my favorite but I do like them.”

“I'm not exactly into music. I just listen to whatever. I'm more of a writer, but I do like musicals. It was something my mama liked. I had to sneak and watch Rent,  but Wicked she didn't mind. We saw it once.” Susie furrowed her brows, confused as to why she'd disclosed that. The petite girl generally said little about herself. “I thought so,” she smiled slightly. “They're pretty great...” Shaking her head, now wasn't the time nostalgia. “I'm Susie. We've definitely not met before.”

Vic: Well, there's a lot of stuff I haven't heard about, either.

Vic: ... Probably.

Susie: I'm still not following...

Susie: Hm, I highly doubt that. You were probably watching crazy movies and listening to crazy music forever.

Vic: Okay, I'm going to play it for you when you come visit me. You have to give me a five minute warning so I can play it EXACTLY when you come in.

Vic: And no, I definitely didn't forget you, but I'm also not entirely sure what you're trying to get at.

Susie: Wait, why do I have to do that? This sounds really silly, but whatever you say Victoria Allegra.

Susie: I'm not trying to get at anything? I was just saying, there's a lot of things I didn't hear growing up.

Susie: No... I haven't. You do realize who you're talking to right? Or did you forget while I was gone?
