Be a maenad
Self care is running through the forest screaming, naked and drunk, ripping apart anything that gets in your way.

Forever reblog
In a post regarding the bare bones basic bitch shit a witch should know (in response to a question about grimoire recommendations) you mention knowledge of metaphysics and how they work. I've been searching the blog for mentions of it, but no luck so far so I would like to ask about them. If you've already been over it or prefer not to go over it, do you recommend any resources specifically about that? Thank you.
Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy is a great place to start and also an incredibly useful reference. I’d recommend getting the Tyson edition as it has an absolute shitload of additional material that’s extremely useful and helps clarify some of the more confusing shit

Hey, do you guys know about the Tuba Veneris? Do you think it's a good starter in ceremonial/infernal magic?
If you’re interested in working a grimoire nut up and do it instead of sitting around waiting for a stranger to give you permission.

Someone hasn’t been watching the Magicians...
Me: I need a library card, but I just moved so I don’t have an ID with my address or any mail with it.
Librarian: -slides me a blank library postcard- Write your address on this like it would be mailed to you.
Me: Sure?
Librarian: -takes it back- Great! Now we have mail with your address on it!
Me: …does it really work that way?
Librarian: the rules don’t say it DOESN’T work that way. Here’s your new library card!

Witch types explained
Gardnerian witches - these witches work mostly in their gardens, and they love worms. Their book of shadows is probably very dirty!
Alexandrian witches - they spend a lot of their time crying about the burning of the Great Library of Alexandria. They can usually be seen clutching their books tightly to keep them safe.
BTW witches - they spend a lot of time texting, so they use a lot of abbreviations and shortcuts.
Sabbatic witches - mostly these witches are college professors, and they practice witchcraft when they go on sabbatical.
Green witch - these witches work with time and clocks, and they’re the ones who run the Green Witch Observatory in England to make sure the whole world knows what time it is.
Wiccan witches - wiccans can be either from the east or the west. When they’re Wiccan Witches of the East, they work primarily with falling houses and ruby slippers. When they’re Wiccan Witches of the West, their skin is usually green and they hate your little dog, too.
Chaos witches - these witches keep you on your toes, because they’re unpredictable and chaotic and you never know what they’ll try to do!
