As someone whos watched him since before i took a break from mcyt in middle school, I'm SO delighted to see the hermitcraft fandom discovering what an absolute experience Joel Smallishbeans is because as friends of Hermits are often are, a lot of HC fans just see a sliver of it and portray him as a quirked up white boy but no. He's not simply quirked up. He's actually unhinged. 1000% committed to any and all bits. Manic pixie nightmare.

also this takes place like, two days before the events of Mother 3 so that means nothing bad happened, yet. Shadow kinda just fell from the sky one night, and Lucas and Clause want to go explore want fell, so they look and Lucas finds Shadow.

still working on a few other details, but for now Lucas finds Shadow and wants to help him!

Very happy with how this turned out, really digging the speechless comic style!

i thought this quote fit Lucas, mostly post timeskip Lucas because of everything that happened.

For Lucas's timeskip design I decided to desaturate his colours and darken his hair, mostly for the headcanon that he doesn't leave his house often so his hair darkens. He has bags under his eyes because he doesn't sleep often, and his black sweater underneath is supposed to represent all of the bottled up feelings he has.

i don't know much about goth attire nor a lot about the culture, but i think Lucas would be into it during like a modern day setting. also the little headcanon that Hinawa and Flint are goth and Lucas & Claus were raised with that influence.

Travis is a small but kind guy, kinda popular when he first moved and becomes instantly drawn to Lucas. mostly because in how they express their gender and manage to not let other opinions bother them. i think Lucas would help Travis feel more comfortable in his own skin once they find out he's trans.

of course they get together, because it's what they deserve!!

Vesper redesign!! I decided to make her a regular lamb, while she has no blood relation to Shadow or Big, Vesper is looked after them the most.

This was just an excuse to draw Big and give him a more prominent role in these kind of fankids au!!

He was in denial for several years, it wasn't until Clemont and Kiawe came along that Gary was like: "Oh fuck- I might actually be gay." and it just went from there.

Naturally, I included Pallet, the og, I love their dynamic. It's so funny to me and I just can't not see them together in the furture. As for the other three-

I was just playing around with a few ship ideas for Gary, and Clemont came up quickly. Just the image of Gary lovingly looking at Clemont as he rambles about his newest invention fills me with such joy.

Gladion is a strange one, but I feel like Gary would be mistake his attraction for Gladion with jealousy and it just confuses him more, which would be funny for some character interactions later on.

Kiawe I see the two talking about battle strategies and just Gary falling for him at the drop of a hat, kinda like puppy love feelings. That and Kiawe was the first to help Gary comes to terms with his sexuality which Gary is forever greaful for and will thank Kiawe any chance he gets.
