I hate Final Fantasy Tactics, therefore I must have bad taste in video games. (Not implied)

Me: Lately it's been FFTA2, but before that, DQM Joker 1, mainly because Joker 2 was out and I was like "I never finished Joker 1..."

Other person: Ah

Other person: FFTA2 was much better than TA1 but the original is still best.

Me: You can't be talking about FFT, because if it weren't for the fact that I was borrowing that game, I would've chucked that out the window.

Other person: You broke my heart, Fredo.

Me: I do that often.

Me: The original Tactics and FF7 are big piles of puke.

Me: Big piles of puke that a lot of people like for some reason.

It's your first time at an event open to the public. You don't know what to expect, but a lot of your friends go, so you decide to go. You have high expectations, seeing your friends and stuff, but on your first day you end up seeing none of them, as they have their own agendas and things to do. This event lasts the entire weekend, and it seems highly unlikely that you'll be able to see any of them, let alone converse with them. Aside from that, you have no idea what to do at the event. Most of the exhibits don't really appeal to your interests. As it stands, you're terribly lost in what to do. So what do you do about it?

Shin Megami Tensei 1: The people are just believers for the money.

Consider this. You're well on your way to enter the Messian Cathedral to be accepted as a loyal servant to the Messian faith, but you're in Ikebukuro and the only healing spot in this area is the Gaian Temple. What do you do? You could take the terminal to Shinagawa where there is a Messian Temple, but that's a little bit of work. Well, it's a crying shame that you're a Messian, otherwise you could just enter the Gaian Temple and get their healing--wait what

Oh. Well uh, sure. > donates 1000 macca And then the Gaian that asks for your donation treats you as one of their own, offering the same services as if you were a fellow Gaian. Which you aren't. But I guess since you "donated" 1000 macca, you're an honorary Gaian, until you walk outside. That's fine and all, to be honest. I don't mind. After getting the hell out of Ikebukuro I was desperate for a healing spot, and I was rolling in 6-digit macca, so I didn't really give a damn about donating some money to the cult I was going to wipe out in a few hours of gameplay. What confuzzles me is this: All the demons in my party are Law-aligned. How are they getting healed? I'd imagine that the Messians and the Gaians use different healing services because they're different alignments altogether. But nope, since my Rakshasa, Magus, Temple Knight, Virtue, Zealot, Sarutahiko, Mishaguji, and the rest of my Law-aligned demons gladly take the Gaian healing service and are completely healed. And here's another thing. How does the main character, who is nearing the point where he is going to be accepted by the Messians as a loyal servant, how does HE get a revive? The Gaians are out to murder this guy; hell, even Yama condemned his actions in Ikebukuro! The protagonist at this point is the Gaians' worst nightmare, since to even get to the Ikebukuro terminal, the protagonist had to go through Nio and Yama (and in my file, I tossed those two aside like the ragdolls that they were), so the Gaians must know that, "Oh shit, this guy is so not Gaian". As far as I'm concerned though, there's no penalty for using a healing spot of the opposite alignment. Got it, game.

Judging from #10 and #11, the average user seems to join up with ~150 unfinished games. From there, they either start chipping away and eventually halve their backlog or they continue to buy until they’ve doubled their collection!
