Getting where we wanted to be, 6 years ago

6 years ago, we release our brand new intranet and our FSX/P3D ACARS. This ACARS used FSUIPC and worked great for all the ESP-series flight simulators.

However, it quickly appeared that XPUIPC, the X-Plane variant of FSUIPC, was not optimal and our ACARS was only made for Windows.

We quickly put together a Java-based ACARS that used the UDP data output feature of X-Plane. A great feature but not practical for general public.

We then discussed about possible solutions and we came to the conclusion that we should have one ACARS and multiple small programs for each simulators.

After a few years spent consolidating the intranet, a few more years doing research and development for the new ACARS, we are finally here.

The brand new MCU is exactly what we discussed 6 years ago. A central system with agents for each simulator. It's used modern technologies to guarantee support for the years to come.

We are very happy to present it to you, and we can't wait to see what you will do with it !

Saying Hi to an old friend

A little bit less than 6 years ago, this blog was created to communicate updates on the new versions of our intranet which was, at this time, brand new.

Today, we're reactivating this blog to communicate more technical aspects of the work we do.
