Mary never went to sleep before midnight, even when she was younger - she preferred the quiet of the night, the mystery and possibility that the dark contained. However, ever since she returned to the United Kingdom, her nocturnal nature grew, and her restlessness often meant she wandering the streets late at night - alone. Last call happened over an hour ago - was it two? - and Mary had been wandering around the streets, marveling at how different everything looked in the dark, reveling in the crisp spring air, when she heard a familiar voice. Whirling around with a toothy smile planted on her face, she cocked her head to the side and outstretched her arms towards the witch,  ❝ I’m harnessing my energy, Marlene, ❞ she said with a closed-eyed smile to show she meant it, ignoring the simple fact of the matter that Mary hadn’t been able to sleep more than a few hours here and there for days.

Opening events can sometimes be intimidating and restricting, at least, that’s what we admins have come to realize over the years we’ve spent writing. This is why instead, we’ve decided to release our very own personalized starter meme ! This is by no means mandatory, but sometimes it’s hard to come up with an open starter on your own, so we hope by starting with this, it’ll encourage interactions between everyone and help in giving our group that ‘old’ nostalgic feel of easy, short starters to get to really know our characters !
