My On the Job Training Experience

Feb.22, 2017 when we were first deployed in barangay hall Bula. I feel nervous in my first time and at the first time I feel so excited. Eventually we knew about the important people in the barangay. Sir Roy, the secretary, sir Dods who gave tasks to us, and master Keen who provide our needs in barangay hall. My first day was so productive including them, as we are lucky that the social workers in Mindanao State University conducted their seminar on that first day. I learned a lot even if it is only our first day. I have the chance to meet and greet the other officials in barangay. Back on that seminar, I learned how to evaluate and monitored projects. Livelihoods, infrastractures, education, and health. And also we encountered the barangay officials especially the barangay chairmans which we gained a lot of advice from them on how to manage a business. Because some of them are businessmen who manages a business and at the same time serves their barangay. My first day was a very long day as we observe first, sense what will happen, and enjoys every moment.

In the next days we totally knew the people in barangay hall, as we are assigned in different fields. My favorite part is that when we were tasked to ask for the barangay business clearance in every family who manages a business. It was so fun because we learned to socialize well in different people in barangay Bula. It was so funny how people felt afraid and nervous the way we ask them for a business permit. Maybe because they think negative about the question we ask. It doesn't matter if the question if the courses we will take on college is very different on the things we did in immersion as long as we enjoyed. Because at the end of the day, what matters most is how you enjoy the things. Which also at the same time we learned how to be a social worker and what does people who works in barangay hall doing.

As few days left before our immersion ends, we feel so sad. Because we became so closed to the people in barangay hall including the students from Ramon Memorial Colleges and Cronasia Foundation Incorporated.

As I summed up the nine day experience of mine, one word I can describe is fantastic. I miss the people, I miss the place, I miss everything. "The friends and memories we've made," just like what said on the song are forever in our hearts. I also planned to go back there just to visit the remaining students doing. And I want to tell to them that on that nine days was really a good experience.

One thing I can say on our immersion experience is that it's really an honor. An honor for me to be one of the students who was trained on that place. In terms of myself, somehow improved my personality because of the socialization. I developed and enhanced it. I learned to talk more and socialized more.

How amazing this OJT experience because I improved myself in terms of self development. I love the experience so much. I captured pictures and preserved some memories.

I will really miss this, from the first day until the last day. Again I really miss the people and the place even now. How time so fast because the nine days was not enough.

Somehow, I still have my connection on my friends I've known there through facebook and messenger.

Forever it will be in my heart, I will not forget those things and those memories. This experience is one of my unforgetable experience because it is so meaningful.

COLLOQUIAL WORDS: DEFINITIONS AND EXAMPLES

1.Lodi- "Lodi" is a word reversed to a word idol. It means that you look up that person.

Eg. Michele Gumabao is my "lodi." She is a good volleyball player.

2.Petmalu- "Petmalu" is a word reversed to "malupet". It says that something is amazing.

Eg. Xavier is "petmalu". He is a good singer.

3.Mumshie- "Mumshie" is a word called for a mother. It was first used in "Magandang Buhay."

Eg. "Mumshie" Melai is my favorite "Magandang Buhay" host. She is so funny.

4.Werpa- "Werpa" is a word reversed to power. It means that someone has an extra ordinary ability.

Eg. God has a lot of "werpa." He is really a God of God.

5.Charot- "Charot" is an expression. A word expressed when we say something is joke.

Eg. I am handsome! "charot!" And I'm athletic too.

6.Wafu/Wafa- "Wafu"/"wafa" is an abreviated word for "gwapo" or "gwapa" which means handsome or beautiful. Handsome or beautiful defined as not ugly.

Eg. Xavier is "wafu." His handwriting is "wafu" too.

7.Rapsa- "Rapsa" is a word reversed to word "sarap." It means that something is delecious.

Eg. Pancit Canton is "rapsa." It is good for our health too.

8.Shunga- "Shunga" is a word expression. It means that something is dumb.

Eg. My seatmate is "shunga." He is dumb.

9.Matsala- "Matsala" is a word reversed to "salamat." It means thank you.

Eg. "Matsala" Lord for giving me wisdom. "Matsala" also for the blessings.

10.Echos/Chos- "Echos" is a word reversed or the same from the word expression "weeeh". It means something is not true.

Eg. He is a good debater, "echos!" He's not even good in his studies too.

11.Keri/Keribels- "Keri"/"keribels" is a beki word. It means okey or you can do it.

Eg. "Keribels!" I can do this. Through the guidance of the Lord.

12.Qiqil/Qaqo- means someone is angry.

Eg. My friend makes me qiqil. He is not a good listener.

13.Besh/Beshie- "Besh" or "beshie" is a word use for close friends. It is another word for calling your name.

Eg. My "beshie" Gladys is a good friend. She is a good friend of mine.

14.Hokage- "Hokage" is a word converted to word master. It means that you are different and fast to move.

Eg. Xavier is "hokage". He is amazing.

15.Havey!- "Havey" is a word means not corny. It says that something is good.

Eg. Vice Ganda's jokes are "havey." He is a good comedian.

16.Waley!- "Waley" is a word means corny. It means that something is not good or better luck next time.

Eg. Anne Curtis' jokes are "waley!" She is not good in joking.

17.Dedo- "Dedo" is a word converted from the word dead. It means that something or someone is not alive.

Eg. My father was now "dedo."

18.Chika- "Chika" is a word the same with speaking or talking. It means that you are communicating.

Eg. Xavier is full of "chika." He is so noisy.

19.Praning- "Praning" is obsess in English. Which means there's a problem from you.

Eg. My mother is "praning." "Praning" of taking care of us.

20.Edi-wow!- "Edi-wow" is a word expression. It means was use when you cannot believe something.

Eg. I am a good singer. Someone also calls me a good dancer, edi-wow!

My OJT Experience

Way back 22nd of January 2018 our Ojt , our first day i was so nervous it is because I step on a company that I never been encounter so I face my fear for that to my good also. Me and my classmate assigned in the Hr department in the company of RDFI (Rodrigo Dolores Fishing Indystry). On our first day I call it so serious like, the emersion that we entered is so busy , I think our first day is our last day. In next day,i feel that our real Ojt starts, it is because head of the department that we belong was gather us to talk face to face. She shares a lot of inspirational messages the after that moment I realize that I'm so lucky to that I assigned there in RD so that I experience a real and serious job ever. While the day is moving forward I slowly familiarize the people inside in the workers out side. On the first week of our Ojt I learned a lot of things and notice a lots of events let's move on to the "notice a lot of things"

Rd fishing industry , when we say fishing its indicate , hatching, catching and transporting fish. That's the work of Rd from there the Rd company is the source/supply of cargo's and heavy equipments for fishing, like before the Cruiser or a fishing Large Boat, they stay at RD for a Several days. Let's move to the I learned a lots of things. In Hr department we are assigned in the telephone , making of coupons , Laminating Id's, transferring papers, serves foods to the boss Hr head. I also experience to hold a payment request that cost of 5,000 Us dollar , I was amaze because it's my first time to hold a big amount of money.

In the last week of our Ojt a lot of things happen, it's like normal of those days that what we did , but some of days to our week is we have a opportunity to travel the town of "Tiboli', because of department indicates a outreach program which they are giving hundreds of of family a 5 kilos of rice 10 of corned meals and etc.

It is nice because I feel so happy because one of my dreams in life is to help those stray children, by the help of that program of company it is similar of what I've been dreaming of. The travel takes us 2hrs and 30min to the location or to the banyo . So our last day is so happy, Im so thankful because of that, because I experience a lot of things.

Colloquial Words: Definitions and Examples

1.Mumshie- It is a gay term in the Philippines which means mother.

Eg.1: My "mumshie" Sarah is so stresss with me.

Eg.2: "Mumshie" Mels eats a lot of cookies.

2.Werpa- "Werpa" is a reverse word of power which means power.

Eg.1: I can do a lot of things with the "werpa" of the Lord.

Eg.2: I cannot imagine the "werpa" of our God.

3.Charot- Says that he/she not totally serious to the statement.

Autobiography

My Beggining (Chapter 1)

In everyday when i wake up my whole worlds flip, i mean its such a different you gonna throw with it and its like part of being simply growing up. But for me its a negative way what i mean is you should act like life is easy all the time, you shouldnt pretend like that , because we are not perfect. Thats why people change and as a individual belongs here on earth i change too not in a bad or in a good way , it was changing because thats what happen in our life , change is constant , i grow up and always moving on and i just learned from my mistakes thats why i change.

The Background of Mine (Chapter 2)

I am Leo Czeasar F. Castillo i was born Last 25th of January year 2000. And a citizen of the republic of the Philippines.

I am also the Eldest among those siblings that i have and we are 3 at all. My mothers name is 'Sarah Jane F. Castillo and my fathers name is 'Leonito C. Castillo. I have a simple family and a happy one. And i am so satisfy and happy to have them , i am so lucky to have a family like them , although we face a lot of problems but still the bond of our relationship is still there. Thats why i love my family.

I live together with my family particularly in the Municipality of Alabel Saranggani Province.

My Current school is Stratford International school, as a Grade 12 Humss this school year 2017-2018.

Who Am I? (Chapter 3)

I am a 17 young man at first i dont even know my self. But the help of those people that ive been encounter everyday specially my family and friends , by them i slowly understand and know what is the real me.

As a young man my life is moving forward of what commonly teenagers daily life , i do a lot of things like bad things , as a 17 years old young man i already experience smoking herbs and drinking burning liquor , it is not good as a young man, but by that experiences i already how to control my self, whats wrong or right. Lets move on to the good habbits of mine.

I have a talent ang my talent is i know how to play some of instrument specially Drum set. In sports , i also know how to play basketball and also Egames like Dota 2.

My Goals in Life (Chapter 4)

When I was a child , theres a lot of things that i want, i want to be a Pilot, doctor, police man, Fireman, and a Priest. But as i Grow up everythings Change.as now as i grow up ive change

Therefore theres a changes to my dreams in life.

The First thing thats come into my mind is want to finish my studies and to Graduate to be able to find a and have a big amount of salary, and thats the time i will pay back my family, for being there to support my past life. Aside from that im thinking about those stray people specially those children and i will priority this town of Gensan. The reason why i want to help them is , i know and i experience how hard to feel hungry once in my life them, how much them every day 😢 they suffer the heat and the uncomfortable shelters , thats why by the help of my Prayers i want to help them, someday.

My Family and I (Chapter 1)

I am Prince Cyrill Ponio Macain. I live in Dacville Mabuhay Gen. Santos City. I am the 8th of the eight children born marriage of Alicia Macain and Eduardo Macain. My mother was 61 years old now and she is a dressmaker while my father was 68 years old and had passed away last Oct. 2016. Roche, Alvin, Gemalyn, Mhelot, Allan, Kimberly, and David Lloyd are my siblings. Roche the oldest has now one son and two daughters. Alvin who had passed away at a young age. Gemalyn who has now two children. Mhelot who has now married like Roche and Gemalyn who has now 3 daughters who live in Caloocan. Gemalyn at Mandaluyong and Roche living at Marikina. Allan who was now in South Korea and who has now one child. While Kimberly and David including me are singles who live together with our Mother at Gensan.

My family which is the greatest gift I received from God.

My Dreams in Life (Chapter 2)

First of all my biggest dream in life is to finish my studies in order to achieve my dreams in life. To build a mall like school and to be a volleyball coach. I dreamed before to be a volleyball player representing the Philippines. I have a dream also to manage a business specifically a poultry farming. Ever since I love caring chickens, ducks, geese, anf turkeys as my favorite pets, maybe because I was just influence by my father who really loves cock fighting.

After college, I prefer to work one to three years in our country and after that I want to work abroad which is also one of my dreams. I choose to be an English teacher here so that so that I can use it in the time when I work abroad teaching English language to the Asians especially Koreans and Japanese wanted to learn the language and most of all I planned to work abroad it is because of the salary which is higher compare in the Philippines.

My Hobbies in Life (Chapter 3)

Everytime I'm at home, the first thing I always do is watching television. Television who has a great contribution in our childhood life. Because since I became matured, watching different shows in tv is always there. My second hobby is reading books. Books are life for me. One thing to explore the world is to read. That's why I read a lot everytime I have vacant time just to make my time productive.

In terms of sport, playing volleyball is one of my hobbies. When I was Grade V until now playing volleyball is my passion. I use to engage this sport just to remove stress in life. In school and in my family problemsm. At my millennial age, using social media also is one of my favorite hobby. Using facebok is one way for me to enjoy life. Posting pictures and updating what you feel on that particular day makes your life more beautiful as long as it is use properly.

My Favorites (Chapter 4)

Many people don't know that I am a food lover, maybe because it is not obvious in my physical appearance. I love eating especially if I have money of course. In house I love eating pop corn and pancit canton. Eating pop corn every night is of the bonding of our family. I love eating street foods especially "isaw". Eventhough I saw the oil very black which means it was used many times I don't care but still I love "isaw" but of course there is a limitation of eating it. Just like what I said earlier I love sport, especially volleyball and my favorite volleyball player is Michele Gumabao.

On the other hand, my favorite cartoon character, back when I was a child is Pikachu and until now I love Pokemon.
