Anonymous confessed: “I really hope the writers don't force Karolina down the throats of the people who choose to not forgive her and have negative relationship with her (like me). I just can't deal with characters like her even with her whole sorry conversation. I simply can't. I don't do well with characters and people who want to make other's life's miserable because theirs is.”

Anonymous confessed: “"Hi, I'm a bit shy so I felt uncomfortable posting this in the players suggestion channel but I hope it's fine if I write it here and I hope the devs will read it anyway. I saw that they are doing more types of merch and I would really love it if one day they did mini action figures of the main 10 like Beemoov did with MCL! I think they are super cute, I am not sure how much they cost to make and if Dulcet can do them but I would definitely buy it if they did. Some other cute merch idea that I like are small pillows, lanyards (you know to put your badges in, could come with a Scholar badge with department?) and artbooks! Also I don't know if anyone is familiar with Cheritz but maybe a VIP package like they do? It can include a variety of goodies like Arlington department badges and lore items."

Anonymous confessed: “Hello, I really like Sweet Elite and I don't mind the delays. It's very good that DG took out the dates when the games are supposed to come but it's not okay. Its very good that the company allows players to write their opinions in the discord but it's not okay for some members to insult someone who doesn't agree with them. I really love Sweet elite and bc of it I try the company's other game but it's not easy. The company should go back to tumblr cause here people can be anon and feel safe”

To the anons who sent in the last two confessions: I'm really sorry about what happened in the Discord, it was not cool and I hope the person affected is feeling better but as I've previously stated I feel uncomfortable posting confessions that are just calling out specific people or talking about the fandom without mention of the game 🙏
I hope you can understand, I wish there was something I could do to make the situation better but this is a SE confession page, so the confessions should at least reference the game. I'm really sorry...

It's the line: "Everyone in there basically lives to suck up to the devs like there’s almost a celebrity worship culture. I don’t like that they stopped engaging in tumblr as much to be only there.” They are saying everyone (the fans) suck up to the devs. the next line is "i don't like that they stopped engaging in tumblr) they = everyone and everyone was implied to the fans.
Hi anon, the person who sent the confession explained they meant the devs, content creators were never actually mentioned in the confession so it was just a misunderstanding. Hopefully this helps.

It was me who sent that confession, I meant the devs. I feel like deciding to focus the engagement all in just one part of the community isn't good especially when it's the one that seems most unwelcoming of throwing criticism at them.
Hi anon! I thought that's what you meant but thank you for clarifying.
Now I'm sure content creators will feel a little better knowing it wasn't directed towards them.

Anonymous confessed: "Okay so can I add my two cents to the discussion? I don't think the devs should take away the discord exclusives but I think it would be interesting if the new community manager came up with some fun new exclusives for the other social media as well. For example discord has spoilers and it would be nice if they renewed some older tumblr initiatives like matchup mondays, I also know that Andy does lives on her instagram sometimes and even answers questions about BT and I think that's a wonderful idea so maybe if the other creators have time they could do it too every once in a while, and perhaps move it to the official instagram so it becomes more active. These are just a few ideas, but I think all social media have special interesting features that could be used in many ways so it could be fun if instead of thinking to take things away we could think of more fun things to do for everybody!"

Anonymous confessed: “I wish they'd stop only announcing things on the Discord server. Not everyone can use it and it does feel like you're less valued as a player if you're unable or uncomfortable with accessing it. If things are delayed or pushed back, announce it EVERYWHERE. Then people will stop being so irritated and understand why things are happening the way they are.”

Hi hope you're doing well! The one ppl have been associating with creators is the confession that ends with "...Everyone in there basically lives to suck up to the devs like there’s almost a celebrity worship culture. I don’t like that they stopped engaging in tumblr as much to be only there.”. Based on the language and word use we thought it meant that the anon was unhappy with the creators not engaging as much w tumblr.
Hi anon, thank you for explaining! I see, I thought they were talking about the devs being more active there and not the content creators since there aren't any specific mentions of them, but I see how it could be interpreted that way too so I might have misunderstood it. It would be nice if the anon that sent it could explain so we could understand what they meant by it.

Also, I've been reading about someone sending in a confession about being upset that creators aren't posting on Tumblr as much, can someone kindly point me to it? I've reread the confessions a couple of times but I can't find this bit anywhere so I think I might have misunderstood a confession or two, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me which confession you're talking about!

Anonymous confessed: “People being frustrated at the lack of a new chapter and complaining about it is understandable, but the dev team openly recognized that giving set dates was a bad idea and changed how the system works based on those critics, now we have the box with that shows the progress of the chapter. The devs are open to criticism and actively change based on what the fans say, taking as example the multiple suggestions made in the discord server that are applied into the game.”

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that the next three confessions in the queue were sent in before the staff's announcement! Just thought it would be best to clarify it, I was a bit busy today so I didn't have the time to post them sooner, sorry!

About our Discord Server
Hello everyone!
It has come to our attention that we haven’t been clear enough with our community management vision. Therefore, I’m going to address the big talking points one by one.
1) The moderation team + Negative criticism claim
For all of our server’s existence, I have never seen a mod abuse of their power or shut down negative criticism. Ever. I’ve asked around plenty and have confirmed with our discord members that this is, in fact, a false claim. Nobody has been able to provide proof of this so far.
It’s important to note that mod team’s job has been and will continue to be the safety and well-being of this server’s members. These people have put themselves on the frontlines of so many things to keep you guys safe from doxxers, racists, and general unsavory people. They’re not perfect, but they’ve been doing their job spectacularly well so far.
On that note, this is why when a mod tells you to drop something, they have their reasons. But I know for a fact that you giving negative feedback is not one of them. In fact, multiple people have given us negative reviews here, and none of them have been reprimanded. Why? Because the one and only rule is to keep it civil and constructive. If you do that, then there’s no problem. If you’re being rude, then yes, of course, the mods are going to come after you.
That being said, if ever you spot an issue with a mod, you think they’re being too harsh, toxic or abusing perms, then please contact an Admin. Admins are here to deal with this behavior and stop it. We’re here for you.
2) The switch from Tumblr to Discord for interactivity
Our discord server has been created by fans to facilitate interactions with each other. Recently, it got given to me in order to make this server into an official community server. That being said, the purpose stays the same: this server is meant for fans to interact and engage with them in a more efficient manner, as well as for us, the devs to do so. The point of this is to grow the community.
Our social media accounts are the window by which the outside world sees us. They’re here to give announcements and get traction to our games. Those two platforms are extremely different, and it is nearly impossible to re-create the same vibe and environment of discord on our SM platforms (and vice-versa).
Furthermore, with Dulcet about to host three games made by three different creators with three different release schedules, conducting events on our Tumblr and Insta is pretty much a logistical nightmare. For now, it’s a lot more efficient to do so on Discord.
That being said, with the addition of our new community manager, all of our social media platforms should be a lot more active. In fact, I’m sure you guys saw this already with our launch campaign for Black Tarot. We’re not abandoning our outside social media guys. But if it happens that our get a lot more engagement here (and we do), you can’t blame our content creators for the next point…
3) Discord exclusives + Celebrity cult (???)
Let’s get something clear: If any, and I mean any (yes, that includes me) Dulcet creator involves themselves in this kinda celebrity worship cult behavior as claimed, I will be the first to nip it in the bud. But to be honest? I haven’t seen it happen so far. All I’ve seen is people uplifting each other, and that is regardless of whether they are devs or players. If you pay a little bit attention, you’ll see that people get complimented left and right on this server. That’s just the nature of this (incredible) community.
Furthermore, I know that @the-andy-world @zenothemanager and I gone out of our way to treat you guys like our friends and stay approachable to the fans. It’s important to us that everyone is treated equally.
On that note: None of our creators are obligated to give you exclusives. They’re human. They’re doing this out of the joy of their hearts, and they’re doing this for free. Literally all you need to do is be slightly active here in order to reach level 1, and you get access to exclusive stuff. I’d like to point out that other developers will literally only do this through Patreon… and even then. I understand that you guys want content, but please, let’s not get entitled towards to people who produce that content. Especially when they don’t have to do it.
4) Fandom content creators
Fandom content creators do not owe you anything. Fanartists and fanwriters do not need to post their content on Tumblr or any other platform. They don’t even need to post it on our discord. It’s their content, their time, their effort… and they’re sharing this from the heart. Please be thankful for that, because I know I am.
If they decide to be active here. That’s their choice. If they decide to only be active on social media? Also their choice. It’s in no way Dulcet Games’ responsibility as to where they post their stuff. Just like we don’t have the right to tell them what to do, please know that you don’t either.
Also, if a fan content maker decides to post here but not on social media… They most likely have good reasons for that. Please consider that.
Lastly, I want to re-iterate that everyone here is open to your opinion, as long as it is said respectfully. Feel free to DM me, the mods or the admins for further clarification.
Thank you all for reading and happy playing!
Love,
Serena

Anonymous confessed: "Can I hop on the confession train and talk about something I've been thinking about? I've noticed that the devs have gradually been shifting to Discord and now I feel like with the server getting all of their attention, they aren't paying as much attention to their other social media, or we don't always get the same amount of information. For example, you can't exactly get mad at people for being insensitive since Serena had a mental breakdown when there was no way for them to know that, all they saw was the devs take a break to prepare more chapters, then delay a chapter twice without explanations and the second time without warning; I'm not saying Serena should divulge her medical information over social media, absolutely not, but since she only told the Discord it's a bit unfair to expect everybody to know that. Spoilers are also discord exclusive and so is the Black Tarot beta, and the devs engage a lot in there and even answer questions from fans, when on Tumblr we aren't even having special events like the Q&As with the characters anymore. I'm saying this as a Discord member myself, I feel like we've been getting all sorts of privileges compared  to other social media when not everyone can even BE on Discord, and we can't even say it wasn't on purpose because the devs have expressed their distaste for Tumblr and the will to move the community on Discord on the server itself, but where the community is shouldn't be their choice, it should be the community's, so they should treat all the fandom fairly and not give more stuff to Discord just because they like it better. When you are a company you can't just have a favorite part of your community that you give more stuff too, of course then some players are going to feel less important."

Anonymous confessed: “idk how other lurkers feel, but i think the server is pretty friendly, im too shy to talk there so i dont interact but i read the chats often. i think the issue was that the people expressing their opinions on the chapter delay were very rude towards the devs and the staff, so the moderators shut it down. being rude is never okay”
