Read a passage from books where Jon thinks abt how much he loves Yggrit. Her read hair, her legs all that.

And all I could think abt was Daemon in the afterlife feeling very sorry for his poor descendant being exiled to the edge of the world witch the pickings so few and so slim he thinks that red kitty kat is the best kitty kat. Kid. U need to get the f*ck outta there. Travel. See that there's other women in the world. Better women. U're so brainwashed u're thinking that a 5 is an 8 meanwhile there's an 11 who is in a whole other continent.

I get what you are saying BUT *unpopular opinion coming* some of Jon's chapters are not my favourite to read, yet I LOVED his chapters with Ygritte. George cannot always convince me that people love each other *cough* Dany and Daario *cough cough* BUT with Jon and Ygritte I do think he did a fairly good job by his standards. He's an absolute genius in many things, please don't get me wrong, but in my opinion I don't think romance (much less smut) is his forte to write, and here... not too bad to be honest.

PS: In Fire and Blood this aspect is better because it's not from the first person so we are spared A LOT because I swear to f_cking Christ that if I EVER read Rhaenyra and Daemon banging and her not knowing if he was inside of her or her inside of him I would become a f_cking Daemyra anti.

My good people only thing worse than using that line once is using it TWICE! Literally yall making fanfiction writers do a walk of shame for writing "tongues battling for dominance", siblings in Christ, let them have a trial by combat just as long as people know what is inside of what.

i just saw someone had made beautiful fan are from a quote of the rouge prince from your works and it got me thinking. . .do you think one of the things that endeared daemon to rhaenyra was how she didn't compare him to others - like obviously its because she never knew her, but rhaenyra never compared daemon to alyssa. she didn't see him as an extension of her like perhaps baelon and alysanne did. like rhaenyra just loves daemon for who he is with no addition of "he is like alyssa"

This might be the only ask I have so far I won't have to apologise to for how late it is, mostly because it's a quick one to answer 😊

No, at least not in the way I wrote it (nor that I think it was in canon). The issue that Daemon has with being compared to Alyssa has nothing to do with a fear of being seeing as an extension of her (he knows he isn't) or even a general dislike about being compared to others. His issue is not liking to be vulnerable, with anyone, not liking to think of death or dwell on it, and not give himself over to grief (reminder that in canon when he heard his child by Mysaria died he spoke "not one syllable of grief"). His mother's death and her loss evokes such feelings in him which is why he was always made uncomfortable when someone mentioned her. This is very much what defines his relationship with Alyssa, loss and grief, because he has almost no memories of anything else as she died when he was around 3-4 years old.

He does like, however, how much Rhaenyra loves him, how she sees him and how important she makes him feel. That endears her to him and this is why he could never let it go and not want to keep it. She makes him feel good (well in other ways too) but mostly being who he is as he is.

The most striking thing about him though were his eyes. They studied Daemon very carefully, and he quickly took note of their colour. They had a soft lilac shade, very similar to his own, in fact, they were almost the same.It felt rather odd to see his eyes on another person, odd in a good way though. -You have my eyes. - Daemon told baby Viserys as he softly traced his nose with his finger. - And my nose too. - he said with a chuckle.
