Madoka is awesome when she isn’t running around confused and upset. Any time in the show, whether it’s in the past timelines, or at the end of the show when she makes up her mind about her wish.
You’re becoming hope itself.

Since I can’t sleep, I’m gonna reply to this with my thoughts. Feel free to rebuff/etc.
First, I don’t think Homura was necessarily “dumped” into that world. A more plausible (imo) explanation is that that exact moment was simply the first moment Homura was close enough to Madoka in that time line (what with her taking Sayaka). It was possibly even a trigger for her suddenly remembering Madoka.
Next, we know that at the end of the series, Homura remembers Madoka, and knows that by succumbing to grief, she would see Madoka again, but seeing Madoka is essentially her greatest wish. So she comes to a sort of paradox where she is incapable of truly succumbing to grief in the normal way. Of course, she does start to transform anyways, but the incubators seal her away in order to lure Madoka out.
Personally, I think from that very moment, she was doomed to be something other than a Witch. She did technically transform inside her internal labyrinth, but I think it’s safe to say that transformation was fake, just like the city itself. So when Madokami came down to save her, she was powerless against Akuma Homura, because she was no longer a witch.
As for what caused Homura to change so drastically, Madoka told her in the field of flowers that she would “Never want to leave her friends, even if she had to”. In her obsession, Homura took this as proof that Madoka shouldn’t just be a concept, giving her the excuse she needed to do what she does at the end.
At least, that’s what I think. Poke holes away! :P
I always wanted to see how Homura grew from this Madoka obsessed sad person to accepting it all like we get in the TV series at the end. I think OVA would suffice to see the struggle she prob had when Madoka wasn't there anymore for her and how she tried to live her own life for the first time. Maybe even try to live normal life (school, friends, no time travelling etc.), socialize with other puellas and heck try to get interests. Or start a Madokami religion, I could see that too.
Well according to the Wraith Arc, there seems to be the slight implication that she just “Appeared” at that moment in time in the new universe so she probably didn’t have a life to get over her Madoka obsession.
Which is a shame and probably a mistep on Madoka’s part, THAT would have helped Homura settled better.

I'm disappointed that they didn't end with Akari "dying" again. I was sure they'd keep up the gag.

This is why I like to pretend the last 15 minutes of Rebellion didn't happen. Madokami erases Homura's grief, welcomes her to heaven or whatever and that's it.
Depending on how everything goes down in the sequel to Rebellion, I might drop that though. Considering this is Madoka Magica we're talking about, I don't expect they'll end it with Madoka just forgiving Homura and that's it. That's Yuki Yuna material.
The MadoXHomura ship never made much sense to me. There's no canonical (at least from the anime/movies) reason to believe that Madoka had anything but platonic feelings for Homura.
I hate the fact that MadoHomu is the biggest ship in this fandom. I hate how Homura thinks she has the right to interfere or mess Madoka's fate. After the trailer, it's pretty clear that Homura is an abusive creep.
The worst part is that at least 60% of PMMM art is MadoHomu. Homura is really creepy. I don’t usually ship hate, but wow MadoHomu is so toxic It makes me remember a friend i had who was pretty abusive too. Homura really doesn’t deserve Madoka.
Not to mention that even if Homura really “loved” Madoka and actually knew her she wouldn’t do any bullshit like in Rebellion. She thinks she knows everything Madoka and that deeply pisses me off.
I want Madoka to actually fight her abuser, i won’t accept any “Homura you were suffering, now i forgive you” bullshit in this 4th movie. Also i’m pretty sure if MadoHomu was het SJWs would attack it and spam the MadoHomu tags.
(Sorry if i spammed your inbox)
It’s ok don’t worry, from your words one can easily see you’re talking from experience here, I’ve also had a somewhat similar experience, althought the abuse wasn’t done to me, but to an ex friend, I’ve actually told that story before on the blog, I’ll look for it later and rebblog it.
But yeah, back to your asks, Homura indeed thinks she has the right, she has EARNED the right to dictate Madoka’s fate, her excuse is that promise in timeline 3, she still thinks she has to save Madoka from a cruel fate, even thought Madoka told her at the end of the anime that she didn’t need to do it anymore, that she was ok with that and that her sacrifice wasn’t in vain, this is not enough for Homura, and I’ll explain you why.
Homura will never be satisfied or happy with this because, this is not what she wants, what she ALWAYS wanted is for Madoka to be with her forever…that’s it, doesn’t matter if Madoka is happy, doesn’t matter if Madoka is ok, she wants Madoka at her side.
This is why when I see people (You know who) say that Homura cares about Madoka’s happiness I just give them a look of comtempt and disgust, despite Madoka herself telling her thank you for everything, you did great, I feel happy, Homura felt the need to make an AI YO and trample over her best friend’s wishes to get he finale SHE THOUGHT she deserved, not the finale Madoka wanted, the finale Homura wanted.
There might have been a point where Homura genuinely loved Madoka and cared for her (I disagree with this I think she has always been an emotional vampire in the making, but I would love to discovering she wasn’t) but that point is far burried in the past, now she is a creep and her affection toward Madoka is poisonous and she doesn’t need any of that.
Oh and yeah, no doubt about it, if Homura was a guy, she’d be universally hated with almost no one making a case in her defense, even her most dedicated Apologists now would turn on her if she was a guy.

Placement of the Soul Gems in Puella Magi Madoka Magica
So, I’ve been thinking about soul gems and I came to a realization. The soul gems are all placed at locations that correspond to their wish. So, I’m going to analyze their wishes and how it affects the location of their soul gems.
Tomoe Mami
If you recall, Mami wished to survive a devastating car crash. Simply put, she didn’t want to die. I think that’s fairly safe to assume. The soul gem being placed on her head signifies this, because one’s life is centered around the mind. It’s about awareness. She wants to be aware of her life, thus the soul gem is on her head.
Sakura Kyouko
Kyouko made a wish entirely for the benefit of her father. It was a purely selfless wish with unforeseen consequences. However, since the wish was completely selfless, it’s placed near the heart.
Kaname Madoka
This one is strange, because there are two places I need to talk about.
The first placement, similar to Kyouko, is near the heart. This makes complete sense, considering how her first wish was to save a cat. Madoka is the definition of selfless. However, when she made that final ultra mega super duper wish, her soul gem was somewhere completely different.
You see, in the last episode, her soul gem is the size of a comet. It’s completely separate from Madoka. In other words, she made a truly selfless wish that benefits pretty much everyone (people, magical girls, witches, not Incubators).
Akemi Homura
Homura’s soul gem is placed on her hand. In many Western Cultures, the hand is a symbol of marriage. Her wish was to protect Madoka. The hand is also a symbol of chivalry. Make of that what you will.
Miki Sayaka
Let’s see where her soul gem is…
Near her…
Oh.
I get it.

I think you missed the obvious "in-saiyan" joke.
Honestly though, Vegeta is the worst husband. Bulma's out there running a multimillion dollar company so she can pay for the huge mansion, a gravity chamber, and all the food her friends eat and Vegeta won't even take a day off training to show up to her birthday. How has this marriage not completely collapsed yet?
the sex must be friggin insane
