“Varus.” He gave a small nod at the brief introduction. “Are you sure you wish to take me? I do not want to be a bother.. You seem quite busy..” He said, noting that she was paranoid about something behind her.

“Where I come from is quite far from here, but it is not often that us, by us I mean my species, actually ever travel far from our lands. But recently our culture has found a interest in other places, so I was sent here to search for different things. You would be quite surprised how often people talk of a star child, though I am quite interested in a new creature that had emerged that would be of the same thing. I believe it was a dragon of some sorts?” He proceeds to shrug, purple eyes narrowing with amusement as he smiled. “But I truly do not wish to come face to face with such a grand beast. Dragons are known to be quite rude.”

“I see, thank you..” His eyes drifted away noticing that she had become uncomfortable of his stare. “Apologies..” He said softly.
“Quite well, thank you.” He gave a small nod with his head, eyes staring at the tattoos upon the womans body, intrigued.
“May I ask where this path leads to? The last village had told me but, I seem to have forgotten..”

"As any traveler would, just to see if the rumors live up to their names and curiosity of course." His eyes glew a soft hue as he stared down at the one before him. Hand clutching the strap holding his bow unsure of the others intentions. However he refused to let the tension show in his face or any part of his body.
"It shouldn't concern you however."

In his mind he was screaming, he really just wanted to leave and continue his walk. How this.. Child?? Was requesting him to follow. Without a word he nodded at the female. In reality he was quite annoyed but, to be fair he would rather not be shot or cause any ruckus of any kind. He quite enjoyed wandering without problems, so he had hoped that these creatures would let him pass and continue on his way. With a motion with his hand he gave another small nod with his head. "Lead the way." Boy, he really wanted that map piece.

"My people are simple, we do magic and such just like you but, we chose to keep it to ourselves and hardly use it for augmentations of daily lives. I suppose you can say that we are stuck in a certain Era. But surprisingly no one is complaining, we quite enjoy our simple lives, even if we did change we do not want to draw attention to ourselves anyway. You know, for the fear of people coming to conquer us."
He flipped through the pages, stopping at a page with multiple sketches of weapons. A Noxian war axe, Demacian swords, Piltovian guns, and other various weapons.
"It's quite impressive what you have done to enhance your skill in combat. We do not do that often where I come from."

"Piltover, yes I've been there before.. Hm, it seems I have taken a loop around. I was hoping to travel up North you see." He ran a finger across the map.
"I have no reason to return to Bilgewater, you see I was told by the sheriff that the easiest way up north was to follow the path. But it seems I have wandered off it and ended up here."

He gave his head a tilt at the smaller, well that wasn't very impressive on the yordles part. The archer was never one to like people who boasted but he supposed he could let this one pass. "Forgive me if I haven't heard of you, There are too many things on my mind at the moment to pay attention to such details. You see I am supposed to write and draw everything I see to bring back home. My people are quite interested in other places, which is why I have so many things upon my mind. It is hard to capture everything on a piece of paper. Yes, Im aware humans have the tech to make movies and such but, we prefer paper and ink."
He flips his journal open to a page, showing a small sketch of some deer eating in a patch of grass.

Huh, it was actually a adult. It was hard for him to tell the difference, he remembered seeing something of the likes in a toy store. Where was he again? Ah, Piltover, the people were quite kind there. But how in the world did he end out here with these small creatures?
His pointed ear gave a twitch on one side, head turning to stare at a piece of paper rustling. Caught upon a bush. He turned to the smaller, still busy it seems. But he was given a order to stay put.. His eyes moved back to the paper. What if it blew away by the time the other let him move? His eyes turned back to the female, watching her. He noticed she wasn't really paying attention to him much. Maybe he could inch his way over and grab the paper before it was free.
Thats exactly what he did, he inched his way closer to the bush. Opening his journal so he could snatch it up and be on his way.

He stopped, surprised at the action, perhaps it was better for him to actually talk to this smaller creature. Obviously the other was quite aware with his marksmanship. Which made him wonder how, he never recalled actually using his bow for a while. Spare hunting game in the wood to cook for himself to eat. But he was fairly sure he was alone during those times and far from civilization for anyone to notice him tracking deer.
"Varus, Forgive me, it is hard to actually conceal a bow. If I could I would but, as you can see this is quite big." His hand instinctively touched the bow which was slung over his shoulder. The quiver next to it as his finger plucked at the strap that held them. "May I ask who might you be?"

"A pickpocket can look like anything, plus you kinda reek of alcohol.." His nose crinkled slightly under his hood. Head tilting slightly, purple eyes staring directly at the other. "Then loosing a hand would be more of a shame to whoever you touch rather than you yourself."
He let go of the others arm, placing his small gold satchel back in the holster that held it. Arms folding across his chest as he glared at him from his hood. "Introductions could easily be more pleasant as well. But I suppose you're not one to actually be pleasant considering your poor choice of action."

"A map wouldn't prove useful to a man who barely knows the terrain of this place, but thank you for the offer." A small frown tugged at his lips as he though for a moment. "My familiarity with this place is definitely something I need to work on, or well, I am currently working on. Traveling around learning things is very hard for me considering I have no one to show me such places." He placed his hands upon his hips.
"Would you care to explain to me this place with the map anyway? Perhaps I can learn a thing ir two."

"Oh.." He gave a soft laugh, hand pulling down his hood to be more polite to the other. His dark ears cutting through the white strands of hair that framed his face and formed into a ponytail behind his neck. "Soraka, I think I've heard that name before. I hear a lot from people.. This place is quite interesting. Different from home, you see, I'm here to gather research of different places."
He paused hand placing itself upon his chest. "Forgive me, I am Varus. I must stop myself before I talk too much and bore you." The drow couldn't help himself from talking too much. He got enthusiastic about things he had found on his travels.

"You would be surprised if I told you mushrooms grew taller than common cottages. But they had a nice luminescent glow, softer than a street lamp, but still able to light your way. Sometimes vines that hung down from them glew also, it is hard to explain, but I recall them being a soft hue of blue. If you ripped the vines off they would continue glowing, which was proven useful to place in jars and use as lanterns. The bulbs that glew could be crushed and mixed with other plants into a healing tonic. Usually used for blisters on the skin or burns. It would make your skin glow but it is quick working. Cooling like ice but thick as mud. The blisters swelling would stop and then they would disappear after a few days of being treated."

“Home was a dreary place, unlike there, this place is quite brighter and more lively. It is not often the sun pierces its way through the thick clouds where I come from. Rain is a common thing, which is why our clothing was always thick and quick to dry. Hoods were the norm and carrying a weapon down your own street in fear was common.”
“This place is much more peaceful.”
