i keep seeing non black poc swifties speaking over black swifties, and using the fact that they're a person of color as a justification for it. you have no right to speak over black people, being a (non black) person of color doesn't mean you can't be racist.
#im a person of color#its important to call out anti blackness in poc communities too#black lives matter#blm

I hate to think that Taylor's silence could give racists the stupid idea that they're welcome in the fandom, so if Taylor won't say it, I want to make it clear that you're not, if you're racist go away, no one likes you and no one wants you here

I think this just shows the level of privilege Taylor has had and that she can truly never understand or remotely relate to anyone underprivileged. The level of tonedeaf it takes to compare you missing graduation because you were touring radio shows to people missing graduation due to a pandemic where their families are dying and at risk? Thats NOT it.

last night, hundreds of Israelis, Palestinians and internationals marched through central Jerusalem to protest police brutality in response to the murder of Eyad Hallaq, a 32-year-old Palestinian man with special needs who was killed by Israeli border police in the Old City on Shabbat.

I love taylor so so much. but constructive criticism is so necessary right now.
also: non-black swifties, please stop shaming and shutting down criticism from black swifties.

do better @taylorswift. please educate yourself about how systemic racism goes beyond voting. systemic racism and police brutality won't magically disappear when trump is out of office. I'm begging you to please use your platform more effectively, to it's full extent. let your black fans know that you're truly with them.
@taylorswift voting is important but it won’t cure racism. why can’t you post something that will last more than 24 hours on your story? do better.

@taylorswift !!!!!
@taylorswift you have always said that you welcome constructive criticism from fans. I trust that you will read this, and further educate yourself about the black lives matter movement and the ingrained anti-blackness that is prominent in every industry and non-black community. being anti-trump is not enough. racism cannot simply be voted away—It was there when obama was in office, it will still be there if biden is in office. I most importantly hope you choose to use your platform more effectively, to it's full extent. the way you have used your platform is incredibly underwhelming. participating in the performative Instagram blackout, and posting an Instagram story - that only stays up for 24 hours - with donation and petition links is the bare minimum. why didn't you tweet the donation/petition links?. treat the black lives matter movement the same way you treated lgbtq rights. you can't just pick and choose when to be political. you supporting the black lives matter movement only when it became mainstream is upsetting enough. your support for the black lives matter movement was long overdue and still extremely underwhelming. you can't always just post about important issues only when they become mainstream and trendy. I understand that it can be risky to publicly post about topics that aren't mainstream but that's when we need your voice and platform most. talk about systemic racism. talk about the anti-blackness that is ingrained in the criminal justice system. talk about how capitalism and racism go hand in hand. make your donations public. let your black fans know that you're truly with them.

@taylorswift !!!
Taylor- I hope you know this looks really bad. I know I live in a bubble with who I follow here and on twitter, but you are getting absolutely dragged by some of your biggest fans who have helped you by providing free PR, dragging your “enemies” for years, silencing critics through online bullying, and countless other things beyond directly giving you money for your art. Right now it looks like all of your so-called promises of activism were once again for your own benefit. You made trump threatening Marshall law about you. You made covid-19 about your snapchatgate vindication. You made YNTCD about how much of a perfect ally you are while putting yourself in the middle of it. You pretend to have ignored the 2016 election because alternatively you didn’t think you could help because in 2016 you were toxic and because you were going through a lot of personal turmoil that year. But guess what? Trump announced his candidacy by calling Mexicans rapists in July 2015 while you were on top of the world. Where were you then? Oh yeah riding an inflatable swan with your boyfriend. We aren’t dumb. We know you didn’t speak up primarily because it would hurt your career. But we had hoped you’d moved past that starting in 2018. Now we are doubting your intentions. Prove us wrong. @taylorswift @tree-paine
