So Spain could have sent to Eurovision a song about languages and borders and inclusion in a minority language with folkloric undertones but at the same time kinda techno? Idk how to explain.

Or a really catchy feminist song about mothers and freedom and breasts with a giant breast in the background.

But do we send that? NoooOOOOo. Because of the fucking jury we send a typical party song from a party party girl in see-through clothes singing in Spanglish.

What happened is that RTVE, the spanish public spanish tv and radio told us that we were gonna get a festival to chose who we want to represent us on Eurovision. But as always THEY chose and didn't hear what the people wanted.

In the final, 46% of the public votes went to Tanxugueiras, a group of 3 women from Galicia singing Terra, in galego, one of the co-official languages of Spain. We have 6 co-official languages in Spain that were persecuted until the end of the Franco dictatorship and we have never participated in one of them, imagine the political significance of this. But the professional jury put them 5TH/8

34% of the public vote went to Rigoberta Bandini, another woman singing a feminist message about our bodies, for out mothers with a new sound, something we haven't hear before on Eurovision.

So, 4 women (more because Rigoberta has more women in her stage) that got the 80% of the spanish vote by phone calls and SMS, that costs money, and they also were 1st and 2nd on the demographic jury. Singing about their culture, their bodies, autoproduced... And who is going to represent Spain?

Chanel, who got only 11% of the public vote but was 1st for the professional jury (EDIT: Chanel only was 1st for the professional jury because the 3 national juries gave her the maximum points and the minimum to Tanxugueiras. The 2 international juries gave Tanxugueiras the maximum puntuation.) . Jury she knows, she works with one of them, the song was compossed by the same guy who did Blas Cantó's entry, the song has lots of known people behind it, her song doesn't follow the rules that RTVE stated for the festival but still the jury sent her to Eurovision. Suspicious right?

All of this is not an attack to Chanel, it's an attack to the people who didn't listen to Spain and made us think we could chose when the 1st place was given months ago
