James Dean as Jim Stark, Sal Mineo as John "Plato" Crawford, and Natalie Wood as Judy in publicity portraits and production stills shot while making the 1955 Warner Bros./Nicholas Ray drama Rebel Without a Cause and the corresponding scenes as they appeared in the finished film. Also seen in the photos and gifs are Marietta Canty as the Crawford family maid/Plato's guardian, Jim Backus as Frank Stark, Ann Doran as Carol Stark, and Virginia Brissac as Grandma Stark. Note the differences between what appeared in the movie and the photos, the latter of which were shot while alternate takes of scenes were being filmed, snapped from a different angle while a scene was in progress, or staged shots to condense a scene for publicity purposes.
