You know most of those Gaza messages in your inbox aren't bots right? It takes 2 clicks to check the notes on their post and see that most of the fundraisers are vetted. I get the format makes it seem like bot activity but I recommend looking into it, really important imo

okay, some of there really were, i'm sorry - after getting around three (now suspended) accounts text me the exact same thing in one hour, i stopped checking

it's just the way every single one of them is presented that really felt off for me. the dramatic writing, always with a perfect use of english language, the emojis, consistent format of "something-family" for the username and even the image placements are all the same. the messages never stopped even though i didn't post anything for almost a month, so it felt like my account just got into a bot database for constant spamming from different accounts - you know, just how the ad companies always start calling you after your phone number leaks somewhere

it's just that i grew up being extremely catious about the internet safety, and these types of messages scream THAT'S A SCAM for me from the very first sentence 😬 i also already saw a ton of awful people trying to get some easy money from this tragedy, so yeah. i was kinda biased, my bad

upd: oh, and one of the previously verified accounts that's been spamming me has been unvetted? is this a word? it is now labeled as scam in the google sheet, so, uhh... i don't know, man, i feel like there are so many other reliable platforms to support the survivors from
