"No problem, dude!" Cotton Candy Knight grins, giving a thumbs up.

"O-Oh, you do?" The compliment to her treasured piece of attire catches her offguard, causing her smile to grow more bashful.

"Thanks... It's, the only thing I really own that I managed to take with me, from where I came from." The Superball, after all, wasn't technically hers. Or at least, she didn't own it before the time travel trip.

"H-Hey! Hey Mr. ...uh, hey Griefer!"

The girl in a fluffy, dark green jacket waves with a wavy but still friendly smile.

"How is everything? As in, like... is everything going okay?"

[coolio looked down at their mechanical hands. their wrists spun around, whirring and clicking.]

"i-it's still pretty uncertain at the moment. i might end up like them in the end, th-there's really no telling how my life could go. all we can do is hope, i think."

Cactus Rose offers to lay a comforting hand on Coolio's shoulder. Wheter or not they allowed, she proceeded to try and raise their spirit.

"You won't. I believe that you can be different from them."

She... honestly wished she could've said something more profound. She really wanted to. But she had to trust that few words would be helpful in their own way.

"So..." Cactus Rose is already preparing strategies with her loadout in her head, drawing out a Katana for starters. "Any ideas where it might've gone? Any attacks it may use, or..."

"Wait wait wait!" Cotton Candy Knight gently lowers the Katana with one hand, and raises another to give her idea. "I have a better idea! ...try to throw a ball at the soup - maybe it'll topple down and you can ask it why it did that!"

"H-Hide in a closet somewhere!" Sea Bunny jumps in with her own suggestion. "And... if something or s-someone g-got the soup, eat it! Might get some... regeneration... power?"

Cue the sound of crickets.

"I'm voting for the ball option. Preferably, use a Superball. And don't show mercy if it doesn't cooperate."

[coolio's face goes pale. it's hard to read their exact emotion, but they were avoiding eye contact .]

"oh."

[they wheezed shortly, holding their hands together.]

"s-so i really do look like my relatives, huh."

[they stepped back.]

"didn't know it was that...obvious.."

Cactus Rose frown a little. Not out of disdain, but out of sympathy.

"Sorry." She wastes no time in apologizing, hanging her head low. "While you do look like them, I don't think you will turn out like them."

Sorry, sorry. I mean that... exploring the big desert was really fun, even if the badgers were tough to deal with. Getting the boat was pretty fun too! Reminded me of a song about being on a boat when I first got it. ...shame I had to make a genie get a new home because of it.

Oh - and I can't forget! Brad - or Griefer, if you prefer - is finally back and a friend of mine, and I might've found Kyoko's sister!

But, well... how things ended. How we got to the Firebrand.

Cotton Candy Knight's tone grows quivery, as it gains the weight of regret. Of guilt.

"All the pirates, and Captain eventually... they all... and then that... that thing! It awakened all because...

No worries, me and Calypso got it in the end. But... I dunno what to do. I dunno if I can really say I'm sorry for everything without upsetting her.

If I stopped for the sake of the Captain sooner, nothing bad would've happened..."

[Coolio stepped back, exhaling. they straightened themself out and shut their eyes. they looked back at her, calmer now.]

"i-i'm sorry, it's just that i really don't want to come off wrong to anyone. first impressions are important."

[they tilt their head.]

"now, w-who do i remind you of?"

"It's..."

Cactus Rose hesitated for a moment, because she could guess how much this initiate was nervous. She still proceeded, but in a slow pace, so they could absorb the information in a better pace.

"It's a fabled beast. Four, actually. People have said they wander across the lands, and have the power and might of titans. They're creatures from an bygone time, but some believe they are deities.

The Drakobloxxers."

"Hey everyone, I'm back from Operation: Burning Sword Time!"

[they smiled weakly, but then it was quickly snuffed out when she mentioned coolio looking familiar. they didn't know what that could mean. it scared them.]

"i- um...w-what do you mean i remind you of someone? i-is it a good person? is it bad that i remind you of someone, w-what do i do?!"

[they stood and stepped over to her, shaking a little.]

Cactus Rose's eyes widened as she noticed Coolio T.'s panic. She tried to adopt a softer, gentler tone and posture while reassuring them.

"No, no, no...! I wouldn't say its bad, but its curious. Its alright, you don't need to do anything. Take a breather.

My apologies. It' just that... I can't help but find you similar to a creature I... heard about."

Hi Cactus Rose! Got a question for ya.

Why do you believe that you’ll make a difference in Robloxia once you climb the spire? On a related note, what is the spire anyways?

She sighs, her voice heavy with grim bitterness.

"I'll admit... its a very naive, not to mention hypocritical, hope. But maybe, if I and any other initiate manage to find out how to stop the decadence Robloxia fell under by climbing the spire, then maybe, things can change for the better. Unfortunately, we'll have to fight more and more just to achieve that..."

Cactus Rose's tone lightens up just a little for the sake of the second question.

"Oh, thats a shorthand for the spire of certain doom. It's where we all initiates climb up with the help of an elevator, alone or in teams, across various parts of Robloxia."

[the reptilian sat up, turning to face Cactus Rose. they blinked a few times, registering what she said.]

"o-oh, yeah...it's hard to know where they bounce off to.."

[they adjusted the leaves of the plant on their head, looking down at their trowel.]

"um..i'm s-sorry for asking, but who are you? my name's Coolio."

"It's alright. The name's Cactus Rose, kid." She reasurres and then introduces herself.

Taking a better look at the initiate's overall appearance, she squints her eyes to get a better view at them. Their limbs, specifically, look eerily familiar to her.

"Hey... you kinda remind me of someone."

[there was another combat initiate in the distance, holding a trowel. their limbs were mechanical and metallic, and they seemed to have a tail and a snout, much like a gecko. there were leaves sprouting out the top of their head. they wore a green sleeveless sweater, and had the xenotargeting oculus on.]

[they set up a wall, and tried throwing a super ball at it. the ball bounced back, hitting them square in the nose and causing them to fall over.]

"Careful with the aim." Cactus Rose warns the fellow Initiate, in a sort of mentor-like manner. "Superballs can be very tricky to handle. Personal experience talkin' here."

She glances at the Cannonball she was firing a BB Gun at right after saying these words.

"Thank you." Cactus Rose replies, letting slip in a more bashful tone in her voice.

The question - and especially, the clarification given right afterward - catches her attention and curiosity. Still, she decides to answer as straightforwardly as she can.

"If its why I climb the spire... it's 'cause I want to help on making a positive change to Robloxia. A chance for us to wake up one day without dreading another war starting again." She sighs with a deep sense of weariness. "Even if I'm not sure if its making any difference."

The lady in a Red Suit and Villain hat, previously focused on practing the Slash of Tix, almost dropped both the Sword and Slingshot along with the pellet as she noticed them.

She quickly recomposed, going back to her more serious-ish stance. She noticeably took a few seconds to settle on her first words.

"Been a while since I last saw a fellow initiate."

There's a pause from where the other looks up, a polishing cloth paused at the edge of his katana.

There's a long, awkward pause before that shocked expression becomes one of friendly welcoming.

🌱: Hey there! S'been a while since I seen a fellow 'itiate too!

They stand up, adjusting their cap with a wide smile.

🌱: Th' name's Sprout! Can I ask f'yours?

"I tend to be called Cactus Rose." She answers with a slightly smaller but no less friendly smile. "It's outta mix of necessity and me taking a liking to it."

Medkit: A medkit from Phighting!?!? No way.. (in exchange for 2 bags of bread)

"Heya to you too!" Cotton Candy Knight waves and greets back, before letting the newcomer make their offer. "Ohhh, so you're a shopkeeper. I could run to Turitopulis and grab the Papayas for you."

Cactus Rose blinks carefully, eyeing the Rifle in particular. "Rifle...? The Shopkeeper from my Robloxia never had one of these." She smirks a little. "I'd like to experiment that one."

Sea Bunny just carefully watched the newcomer, until she noticed the Medkit. "O-Oh! Please, I'd need a Medkit! Who knows... there might be some hijacked turrets n-next time I go to the Blacksite..."

They are Cis Females (she/her), and Aromantic Bisexual.

They're technically alternate universe counterparts of each other (part of the reason why they don't go by their actual names), though they diverged thanks to their roles and circumstances in their respective universes. Cotton Candy Knight is "the Hero" from Block Tales, Cactus Rose is an Initiate/Bloxxer from Combat Initiation, and Sea Bunny is an Expendable from Pressure.

Cotton Candy Knight has green text, Cactus Rose has orange text, and Sea Bunny has blue text.

They're of average Robloxian height, on the chubby side and with overbites. Cactus Rose has some muscle.

For traits they share personality-wise, they're all socially awkward and silly to varied extents, and lovers of food.

Out of them, Cotton Candy Knight is probably the most easily approachable. Cactus Rose's not mean, but constant fighting left her serious and a little standoffish. Meanwhile, Sea Bunny can be very skittish due to the many trips in Hadal Blacksite.

[Cotton Candy Knight]

Her hair's tied allegedly for practical purposes, but its actually because she doesn't know how to cut it. The fluffy hoodie jacket is from her time period, and her face bandage is one of many - she has more on her arms and legs.

She was new to Robloxia(?) even before going back to 2010. For her, the adventure is somewhat of a history lesson in real time.

She really wanted to be a "redeemer" type of hero, but can't. Is a bit of a emotional disaster due to not being great with people + taking a while to confess to her devils in their faces.

Likes to experiment when it comes to the cards, especially when its to deal with a roadblock. Uses the Ice Dagger the most out of the Swords of Time.

Arguably the most well-adjusted, despite everything.

[Cactus Rose]

Pink red suit, Villain hat, and Devil Wings are the accessories she wears the most.

Does not really opens up about her past. All she's willing to tell is that all the constant wars forced her to move to more isolated places, and that she's trying to make a difference, small as it is, by climbing the spire.

She has her moments of silliness (can fire a lot of quips if she's feeling confident), but considerably hardened herself emotionally. Takes a little while to open up to others. She also doesn't get scared easily.

Favorite weapons are: Sword family, Slingshot family, Wrench, Freeze Ray, and Ninja Star (though she knows how to use all of them). Has no real preference when it comes to Gears, but has been experimenting more with Epicsauce.

In her native universe, most of the time for her, someone's either an ally, the Shopkeeper, or an enemy.

The best fighter, so far - Cotton Candy Knight might catch up.

[Sea Bunny]

Is usually seen in the Double Rotors or the Knight jumpsuits. Mainly puts other jumpsuits when she's feeling festive.

Had a mostly carefree life until she was framed for a serious crime inside a famous shopping mall. She took Urbanshade's offer because she wanted to find any way to clear her name, unaware of the harsh cost.

Optimism and paranoia are having a fistfight on her head. Trauma has a headstart on both of them, and she usually doesn't realize that.

Likes the Hand-creak Flashlight and Gummylight - because of their sounds.

The most normal one, aside from the Action Survivor moments.

[Most notable relationships with canon characters]

Cotton Candy Knight: Friends with Red and Blue since Chapter 3. Sees Cruel King as a father figure post-Chapter 3. Felt a mixture of sympathy and dread when it came to Griefer until the True Panacea quest, where she buries her hatch with him and they become close friends.

Cactus Rose: Queerplatonic relationship with Vagabond. Somewhat friendly terms with Captain. Feels halfway sorry for Great Drakobloxxer. HATES King and what he represents in her eyes.

Sea Bunny: Genuinely sees Sebastian as an ally, but does not wanna risk making him mad. Would save p.AI.nter if she could, despite the turrets. Always wary of Wall Dwellers and (ESPECIALLY) Pandemonium.
