Archer is kind of a comfort character so nothing particularly unique, but oh well. I don’t have an exact reason why they are part cicada, but being part another species is not particularly unique in their setting. They go to an old college somewhere in Europe (I haven’t specified). They’re studying to be a botanist. He loves poetry and are a big fan of romanticism particularly (they read some Wordsworth and a lot of Shelley) and also plays the violin (sometimes when he is stressed they play it to calm themself down). they grew up in a multigenerational household with quite a few siblings, so they are a bit lonely at first at their new college. I think they make friends eventually, but I haven’t designed any for them yet.

Personality wise, they are very kind and gentle, but also have anxiety. They don’t like people knowing when they’re anxious because he doesn’t want to concern people. Because of this, they try to keep up the facade that they are happy even when they’re not, though they can’t always help it. They have occasional panic attacks.

Botany and horticulture are their special interests (he is autistic) and so they are really excited to be studying them.
