headcanon . It’s important to me that Anri’s compassion isn’t born from naivety alone. She knows how cruel the world can be – she’s seen it up close, she has lived through it. Her kindness can be a deliberate act of resistance. Anri chooses to care. Anri chooses softness in defiance of everything that tried to harden her. She wants to be to others what she wishes others were to her. This is part of what makes her strong, even if she doesn’t realise it.
