Mankind seems incapable of saving itself. In our natural selves, we perpetuate cycles of destruction. Our hearts are broken, so we break other hearts. This is the way of humanity, and we need an otherworldly solution—something radical to break these cycles. We need God to save us. The gospel is that radical solution.

“After studying the historical origins of the Christian faith, I came to these conclusions: that Jesus died on the cross is as certain as anything historical can be; that he rose from the dead is by far the best explanation of the events surrounding his death.”

“One of the greatest weaknesses of alternative explanations of the resurrection is their incompleteness: they fail to provide a comprehensive explanation of all the data. By contrast the resurrection furnished one, simple, comprehensive explanation of all the facts without distorting them.”

“We suppress the truth in unrighteousness to go our way because we’re human beings with a fallen nature. We have to recognize it. So, when people say, “don’t impose your morality,” I go, “It’s not my morality; it just happens to be THE morality.”

Never water down or minimize the mighty Gospel of God by considering that people may be misled by certain statements. Present the Gospel in all its fullness and God will guard His own truth.

As Christians, it’s important to make sure the doctrine we’re listening to is biblically sound and doesn’t stray from what God says in His word. If a Bible teacher is making you feel good when they talk, but is never saying a word about repentance, or the consequences of sin, or discussing anything that might be taken offensively, you need to be careful and find out if they’re really helping you enough spiritually.
Some truths are hard to swallow, but they are no less important because of that.
Make sure you are challenging yourself as a Christian and do research on anyone (or anything) you think might be actively deceiving you.

At the Home of Martha and Mary
38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:38-42 | New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright ©1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® All rights reserved worldwide. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 3:3 Character is measured by the love and faithfulness we genuinely display in our daily lives. These are simple virtues that we cannot fake. Love is displayed when we choose to treat others, even those we are not able to love, with kindness and genuine concern. Faithfulness is being a person of truth — genuine and trustworthy in word and deed. These virtues need to be a part of our everyday lives. When we live like this, people will see God in you and God will be pleased.

👆🏻 This. The day and hour are unknown. We should have joyful anticipation, not an impending sense of doom for the Lord's coming. Please take some time to log off social media, don't be overwhelmed by the news, crack open your bible, and spend some quality time with God one on one.
Spend some time with your loved ones as well, OP. It sounds like you may be dealing with some depression that should be addressed.
With Jesus returning this year based on prophecy and stuff I don’t really see a point in life anymore. Don’t have no more joy tbh. I’m sure I’ll be left behind anyway but now it’s just waiting for some random day in 2024 for him to come back. Why bother doing anything with my life? Why bother going to college or hanging with my friends when it’s all ending anyway.
Crazy bad take, friend.
First, we don't know when Jesus is coming back. There's certainly no prophecy that says He's coming back in 2024. Maybe He will, maybe He won't. We just don't know. God specifically withheld that information from us. Anyone who tells you they can pinpoint Jesus' return is lying to you.
Second, if you believe that you'd be left behind when the Rapture does happen, and you have time to get right with the Lord beforehand, why on earth wouldn't you do it? Repent! Forsake your sins, seek the Lord's mercy. And when you have and you're saved, there's all the reason in the universe to preach the Gospel, win the lost, and look forward to the Lord's return with joyful eagerness. When Jesus comes back, everything gets unimaginably better for us!
