Also, in response to people claiming that a show is automatically good simply because it’s “unpredictable” and manages to “avert expectations”…
Are you serious? Should I not be able to hope for things then? To look forward to see certain things play out? Am I just supposed to sit down every episode and be shocked? Is that what good TV is meant to be? Then what is the point in rooting for certain characters? Are we not supposed to want things for them? Are we not supposed to be able to look forward to witness what seems like a logical conclusion of a storyline? Are you fucking serious?
For the last time: SHOCK VALUE DOES NOT EQUAL GOOD WRITING.

also… that one moment after Nebula takes the power stone and burns her arm, where Rhodey stares at her and she goes “I wasn’t always this way”, clearly expecting him to be freaked out, but then he empathizes with her instead, compares it directly to his own disability, and then lightens the air by saying “we make do, huh?”, showing Nebula sympathy for her struggles when everyone else is always horrified by body modifications… how Nebula is genuinely taken aback by that one moment of honest connection instead of the disgust and horror she’s used to… just. a really, really good moment.
