worksite experience/future
I am working at VIHI Realty Co. This is a real estate/insurance firm that provide wide range of service. This firm target at Vietnamese people in Philadelphia. This firm is helping non-English speaker to buy and sell houses, to buy insurance plans, and to pay tax. So it is making business from them but also helping them.
I have been working at this worksite for a month. This worksite experience help me to learn more about business. I would like to use this worksite experience to pursue my future academic and professional. I apply college with majoring in business. While working at VIHI, I have seeing my co-worker creating business with new customer and taking care of current customers. This help me to study my major because I like to communicate with people. I like to help people to get their needs while making money.
In conclusion, it is a great experience working at VIHI Realty Co. It help me to firm up my decision on choosing a major. Currently I am just watching and learning how to work with people. I wish I could have a chance to work with the clients in the future.

Dream Job
I am growing up from a mid-low class family. I am not considering as poor people because I am still able to live without any helps but I am not considering as Mid class people because I am not rich enough to be one. Being in this kind of situation, finance is the biggest problem for my family and me. I am always wanting to get a lot of money so I can get a better life for my family and myself.
When I was younger, people was always saying that doctor is making a lot of money. Doctor was a tittle that everyone respects. Doctor was a tittle that getting begged by people. People paid a lot of money to see a doctor. This was because the Chinese hospital system. People could not get any service, treatment, or pills before the bill was paid. In this situation, doctor is always making money no matter what because people needed doctors. So I told myself that doctor could be my future career.
When I was able to argue with people. People would told me that I could be a lawyer because I always argue. What is lawyer in China? Law was a game for rich and wealthy people. Lawyer was a tool for them. I knew that every minute when meeting a lawyer costs almost my family's daily pay. I knew that every time people go on a court cost more than my family's weekly pay. So, I told myself "why not lawyer?"
Until recently, I got to know more about those two careers. I knew they were not easy as what I saw. They were not making that much money as what I heard. I understood that I am getting much money as much I worked. Meanwhile, I had a chance to learn about business. I liked it because it is a career that require me to communicate with people and helped me understanding how to manage money. So, I believed I would see myself working in an investment bank or insurance firm as a risk manager. In conclusion, I learned that there are no free lunches. Every career has it's opportunities for me to make tons of money. At the end, I don't have a dream job, and I don't need one because I know what I like and what is best for me.

Week Three Blog
I can develop my StrengthsQuest strengths within and outside my work site. According to my Signature Theme Report, I have titles like achiever, includer, and responsibility.
I agree that I am an achiever because I do have goals for every thing I do. I always feel like waisting time when I don't achieve anything. I can develop this strength within my work. For example, my duties contain filing papers, and ton of papers. I know I can't finish them in a day so I decide to do some each day. So I set goals. I tell myself to do this many today, and to do this many in one hour. I feel very confidence by following my goals. However, I would feel a little bit un satisfied for myself if I didn't reach my goals for the day.
I agree that I am an includer because I like having fun in a group, a group that takes every body. I consider myself as soft-inside person because I often feel bad for those whom got left out by people. I always want to get them in to my group. I can develop this strength within and outside my work. At work, I always try to talk to people in my office because I want to know them better. I want to put them into my circle. Outside of my worksite, I often hang out with friends and make new friends. I don't care if he/she is good or bad; I would still be friend with that person.
I agree that I am responsibility because I always will do what I need to do. I always keep my words. When I say something and I mean it. Very often people are being surprise because I did stuff that they don't think it will be happened. I can develop this strength within my worksite. When I tell me manager that I will do that task, I will do it. I often tell myself to not get off unless I finish assignment.

accountable
Accountable person is someone people can trust on, someone people can rely on. I consider myself as accountable. I demonstrate my abilities at my worksite. I always make my supervisor says "good" when every time I finish an assignment. I do my best for every assignment that i got.
Be on time is the first sight to show people that I am accountable. I wake up early everyday so that I won't be late for my job. This showed that i am accountable because being on time is the way to show people I am accountable. Also, employers will trust me if I get to work on time everyday. Punctuality is an essential characteristic of a reliable person. Being tardy is implying disrespect to others, and indicating that you are nonchalant about the job. Even though my working schedule is from 11 to 5, I tend to arrive half an hour earlier to make sure that I will not be late. Also, the supervisor would not set a designated time for me to complete the assigned task. But I will try to finish in a steady speed. My consistency will inform my supervisor what to expect out of me.I also give my best on doing my assignments. This also showed that I am accountable because being doing the best is the way to show people I work hard. When employers know I work hard, they will be more comfortable to work with me.
This is my second week of work. I think I am accountable. I believe my employer would also think of me as accountable.

Describe the challenges, obstacles, and rewards of beginning work as a new employee of your work-site. How important is adaptability in transitioning into your work-site?
Last week was my first day of work at VIHI Realty. After the fist day I worked there; I felt people are so nice to each others. I could always here people laughing. I really want to be part of them soon.
I had some challenges already on my first day. One of those is traveling to my worksite. I am living far away. I have to travel more than one hour to get to my worksite. In that case, I have to wake up earlier and to make sure I am getting to my worksite on time. This is difficult to me because I like sleeping. I like to spend my entire morning sleeping. And now I have to wake up early and get ready fast as possible. It feels like I am back to school.
The second challenge is communicating with people in office. First of all, I am a stranger to them and they are strangers to me. I don't know about them and I don't know what should I say to them. So I sit at a corner and stay in silence. Second, we don't speak the same language. They speak Vietnamese and I speak Chinese. This make more difficult to communicate with them.
These are my challenges and obstacles that I have in my first week. In conclusion, Everything is going fine at my worksite beside I am boring at most of time. Not even just not familiar to people in office but also the other intern. So I will try my best to know them and be friends with them.
