Sinteza activitatii parlamentare a senatorului PMP de Dolj, Radu Preda
Aşa cum v-am obişnuit, încerc să menţin o transparenţă permanentă în ceea ce priveşte activitatea mea, aşa că vreau să vă prezint pe scurt în ce a constat mandatul meu timp de 4 ani în cadrul Senatului României. Am fost membru în 7 comisii permanente şi una specială. În cadrul „Comisiei pentru cultură şi media” am fost preşedinte timp de 1 an de zile, după care am devenit lider de grup parlamentar. De-a lungul timpului m-am implicat şi in relaţii bilaterale, făcând numeroase vizite de lucru sau implicandu-mă direct în activitatea grupurilor de prietenie ce au condus la consolidarea relaţiilor dintre România şi alte state.

În cadrul Plenului Senatului României am luat cuvântul de 114 ori şi am ţinut cont de fiecare dată de nevoile celor pe care-i reprezint. Mai mult decât atât, am avut un număr de 129 de iniţiative legislative. Cifrele poate nu sunt atât de importante pentru că nu pot reflecta întotdeauna volumul de muncă pe care l-am depus alături de colegii mei, dar ce pot să vă spun este faptul că nu am stat nici măcar 2 minute degeaba cât am fost în Senatul României. Poate părea o afirmaţie exagerată, dar vă rog să mă credeţi că de când le-am cerut oamenilor votul pentru primul mandat, mi-am impus să nu dezamăgesc.
       De ce?
Pentru că sunt un om simplu. Merg la piaţă, mă duc la Biserică, mă întâlnesc cu prietenii şi cunoştinţele şi mi-ar fi fost ruşine să ridic ochii din pământ, să mă ştiu într-un loc în care am puterea de a face ceva şi eu să rămân indiferent, scufundat în fotoliile confortabile ale Senatului. Dacă aveţi curiozitatea, puteţi verifica filmările din cadrul şedinţelor, să observaţi că de multe ori stau mai mult în picioare şi umblu prin sală pentru a avea discuţii cu ai mei colegi, în vederea rezolvării problemelor apărute de-a lungul timpului. Aşa-s oltenii, deh, n-au stare! Şi mă bucur enorm că nu am stare nici acum, pentru că aasta ar însemna să mă dau bătut şi asta nu se poate (contrar dorinţelor arzătoare ale altora).
Aşadar, vă rog să judecaţi/verificaţi ceea ce am făcut în cei 4 ani de activitate parlamentară, iar mai apoi să-mi oferiţi încrederea dumneavoastră pentru a merge mai departe. Ştiu că e campanie şi că toată lumea încearcă să vă atragă atenţia cu fel de fel de „lucruri colorate” şi exagerate, dar dacă rămânem realişti şi privim exact ce este faptic şi relevant, putem discerne multe adevăruri de minciunile gogonate ,
