Only other sentient and sapient life in the galaxy, besides humans. Oh sorry, biological life, NHPs are their own can of worms.
They look like moths but are closer to Cradelian crustaceans. They were almost wiped out during the Hercynian crisis in the old SecComm days.
Hey what's an Egregorian? I haven't heard of those before

Im... Choosing to believe this is just propaganda... And really hoping you all don't get turned into sentient spaghetti by an extra dimensional backlash.
Whoa wait you mean that people can get paid to be in the military???

It may be true for Mercs... But Union military doesn't pay in the conventional sense, not with Manna anyway. Not really necessary, when most aspects of life are covered.

NO-
Command has been giving a lot of speeches to us about not taking up too many resources like food lately. Is that good?

I feel as though your tastebuds are dulled, probably another mutation thing...
If I did that I think my head would explode.
Do ghost peppers taste like napalm? Is there ghost peppers in napalm? Hhhrmm... Much to think about.
No, napalm tastes horrible, ghost peppers are for eating by the handful.

Is this an attempt at deception or do you actually do this?

On my experience... Both.
Sure Union might have "healthcare" and "space travel" and "clean energy" and "human rights laws" and "food", but do they have this?

Am in the middle of this. Send help.
Currently in a Lancer campaign where three out of five charecters in the party litteraly can't leave their mechs. Took 'get in the robot' too far I fear.

Yeah... That's what I thought of. It's something I saw a lot of back in my USB days. Decorp is still a big no-no, but they would skirt the line as much as they could with mech integration.
There was a mech once, I'd say an Enkidu is the closest I can imagine, perhaps a Lycan. It wasn't a biomech in the traditional sense, but it had synthetic muscle built to simulate an animal. It had... Nerves, kind of. Arteries of fluid that would carry directions from the immersion tank out to the rest of the body. It was a great design on paper.
In practice though it drove the pilots into insanity most of the time. The designers wanted to minimise contact rejection from the pilot. So the obvious solution was to make the pilot forget their body, cease all feeling from the actual human form and divert all senses exclusively to the mech. In the first field test, the pilot forgot they were even human at all, insisted they have always been the mech and literally couldn't eject. You can't eject something you don't think is there...
They had to cut the poor girl out of there. I only heard about and met her way after. She's fine now, but that incident caused a lot of dysmorphia for a while.
...
You be careful out there. That power ain't worth losing yourself for. Though I think you know that much.
So uh... Immersion tank huh?
How exactly does yours work? In my experience, 'immersion tank' is quite a range, and there's some pretty horrific shite on one particular side of it.
Just... Really wouldn't like to see your mind in need of similar upkeep to your form.
- Syl
Syl? Who might that be?
Eheheh. Mine is directly on the horrific side of things.
The tank involves a mess of chemicals, mostly combat stims, and the pilot, yours truly, suspended in an oxygenated, probably glycol based fluid.
Then these horrid cables link up to various ports on my piloting suit and mesh the systems with my nervous system, using pre existing structures but supplanting the feedback - or so I'm told. I'm not the most well versed in these things. However it works, Foolish Mirror is effectively a second body in that state.
Your concern is warranted, issues with balance is only the tip of the iceberg as far as what I need my meds for. She's an amber phantom, see? Sometimes I get lost in the immediate future I can feel and forget where the present is...
