experimental commission for loreshark on flightrising so twenty years later and I'm finally trying to get my queue finished. my new job keeps me from really doing artwork and when I do have days off I tend to just turn into a vegetable, hahah. but! I have finally gotten a commission done; six more to go, lol.

semi-painted bust commission for alkylic on flight rising

I finally was able to finish this painted bust! I am pretty proud of it, especially his hair. ;u; thank you to alkylic for waiting so long for this to be finished! now onto the next commissions~ ♥

trying to break my art block. this is an (currently) unnamed oc of mine that I first conceptualized back in 2017. he is a merman who bleeds gold and pretty much depresso expresso 100% of the time, lol. I'd love to make an fr dragon of him...maybe I'll venture to the forums and see what people might have for me, lol.

long time no post; I have been struggling with art block which is super cool when you have commissions to finish. :') but here are some more dragons that have been completed in the past month while I go back to kicking my daemon to get their act together. ✦ charybdis - based off of charybdis featured in the epic, the odyssey, the other half of scylla and her sister, charybdis in my lore prevents others from entering eaeor easily. moreover, she is what keeps others from so easily leaving beyond the eldritch workings moving in and around eaeor's port and its waters. sometimes donning a mortal form and a bestial form beyond the whirlpool she forms constantly, she is known to devour those yalyna deems worthy of destroying. ✦ sopdet - still working my thoughts on sopdet in my lore, but she will probably be a harpy warrior within my harpy lands, featured in my elders tab. ✦ tsetseg - a harpy whose two heads speak portents of various futures, each head foretelling different outcomes, but never telling the one asking which is correct. two options are given, two sides of the same coin, a choice. perhaps they come to the same end? perhaps knowing may change it? or prove it. one cannot say, and tsetseg never will. she makes no promises on if one is satisfied with her tellings, only that they exist, and are but two strings found in a web. two paths in a forest, with many yet to go.

one head speaks almost only in song verse, while the other communicates mostly in riddles. ✦ grendel - grendel is a birthday boy! he is a bit unknown in my lore and I have yet to decide if he is a portent and monster, or if he is just a lonely orc, lol. could be both, it's always hard to tell. but he's pretty and gets those brown and greenssss. I don't have as many with this palette but he's cute and I love him.

↠ when someone says here is a red head I'll pay 55 dollars for an experimental commission for him….and you say bet here's a 100 dollar piece in return because you couldn't stop and it was a red head. *haorld comes in and slaps me*

lesson: don't give me red heads it's like robbing me in the street and I willingly let you. secretly praying you all give me red head males. just mug me folks. I'll die on this hill.

more projects finished (two which were impulse bought...and one which has needed an update in a long time while the other was in my projects tab for too long;;) I was going to do commissions today but my cats and clean the house brain said no. so going to actually work on commissions tomorrow, lol.

✦ jubei - my wandering swordsman unapologetically based on samurai and various ronin in Japanese culture, Jubei has been in my lair from nearly the beginning. Every since I fell out of love with his triple stoneness I had him hidden elsewhere...but after a gene revamp and makeover he's back and ready to shine~ ♥

✦ fahim - a g1 I have had for a few months now, I am not sure exactly her lore yet, but she probably has something to do with the harpy lands she's near.

✦ hiram - a dragon I fell in love with on ah because I remembered what cream koi looks like...and I also forgot that terracotta sludge is a delight to my earthy blue-orange love;; I'd love to make a pair with him (no the girl next to him is not his mate though she *almost* made the bar if not for her secondary lol) but apparently terracotta/terracotta/cream imps are not common, lol. because of course. of course.

✦ eira - in my quest to find a mate for hiram I ran across this beauty...who I have finally gotten in my lair today! ;u; I gened her instantly...so here's some advice: when looking for mates for your dragons...don't. it's not worth it. the price you pay is your sanity and lair space. (I still love her and I forgive her but also...why tho. u are not what I needed *sobs into my cereal*)

so stormcatcher's chosen didn't win or get an honorable mention (I am very sad about this...) but it is available now to sign up for a slot at my skin shop if you so choose. thanks all. ♥

tbh probably won't be submitting another fest skin, seems kinda like a fruitless effort on my part, lol. I'd rather just make my own skins I'm coming to realize and not bother with this.

working on a bigger piece for a commissioner, so to pass the time here are two dragons I recently finished. (I should work on some other dragon projects but apparently, I am being a goblin and hoarding my funds as though I'm saving for something important...I am not.)

✦ eiliwedd - her lore is a wip, but I think shaman or wise-woman seem fitting for her, given she is also part of my new mesa tab.

✦ rishi - as always, lore wip, but more than likely an "undead" fae who spends most of his time hiding away to prevent others from seeing his skeletal face; if he is ever seen at all, he wears a mask of gold. fireflies are often his sign of arrival and his lingering departure. probably cursed. also probably needs some lovely lady to rescue him. XD any takers?

glyndwr & rosvirein ✦ desert river fae another finished project show-off; these two are a couple I recently bought together because their possibilities were too gorgeous to pass up...glyndwr and his lover, rosvirein, are desert fae, rare seelie fae whose existence is not tied to seasons but bodies of water and specific ecosystems, making their homes near the waters they represent and can be seen at specific times of day if one is lucky to spot them. these two are often seen dancing together or playing music as the sun touches over the desert horizon where the air is cool, the waters calm, and the stars still dance across their reflections. the only remnants of their presence are the inexplicable, delicate river petals that have remained in their sted, seen only by those worthy of their gift, which, is rumoured, are small blessings for desert wanderers, offering cooling magic during the day, and warmth at night to survive the harsh climates of the desert landscape. these powers seem to wilt, however, the moment the petal is attempted to be sold or if one leaves the desert they have made their home, having fulfilled their purpose. their children, rare to see, are said to carry this same music and magic with them wherever they go just as their sires have, with their petals being offered as gifts to lovers and clansman whom they consider their greatest friends. ↠ this pair can be bred upon request! (until I can get some other breeding projects finished to re-open my hatchery lol.) their colors are rare for imperials, with rosvirein being one of two of her colors as an imperial, and glyndwr's fellow companions are, mostly, his own children. their colors and genes are below in case anyone is interested in allowing a river desert fae into their clan. ♥ glyndwr ↠ beige [ chrysocolla ] || taupe [ blend ] || taupe [ okapi ] rosvirein ↠ beige [ chrysocolla ] || taupe [ blend ] || stone [ glimmer ]
