Where even was this..?

A flash of light and now Yugo had found himself in a city that looked even worse off than his own. But that didn’t matter, Clear Wing brought him here not too long ago in hot pursuit of that creepy bastard and he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to find him.

...Except that without his dragon’s guidance he hadn’t really known where to go from here. So with a twist of the throttle he’s racing down street after street, calling out in hopes of a response. It was then he heard it.

           --’Come here!’

With a sharp pull of the handlebars he turns his D-Wheel in the direction of the voice. The headlights casting the narrowed path between buildings and debris in a blinding light. But Yugo could see those familiar eyes clearly. That was Rin! So that person with her must’ve been...

“Hey! Keep away from her, creep!” 

From his place he gives the engine a warning rev-- He wasn’t above running the bastard down, in fact... that’s just what he was going to do! Talking didn’t work last time so why bother, right? Instead he released the brakes, aiming his tire right for the cloaked weirdo, mindful of ‘Rin’s’ whereabouts so he wouldn’t come too close to her before squeezing the brakes again. 

“--I gotcha, Rin!”

Ruri pointed her disk at the strange man in the cloak when she heard the engines and yelling.  That had to be the rest of the rebellion, even though she didn’t know what sort of engine could be running.  The rebellion had precious little fuel at the best of times.

“Yuto!” she yelled, “Come here!”

“There’s snow on the ground already?”

Despite the young age and usual playfulness that made him seem more childlike them most, he didn’t sound exactly excited for the telltale sign of winter making itself more and more present as the days went on.

--There are memories of cold nights and recollections slippery roads.

Winter spells a different meaning when one grows up as a Common. But the sound and feeling of the frozen crystals packing tightly under the weight of his boot was satisfying. And the snow was beautiful despite the horrible driving conditions it made on the lower roads in City. He even recalls how Rin loved the chilly air back whenever they played outside as children, and how he always thought her weird for it. Someone as motherly as her enjoying the potentially dangerous winds of winter like that. 

“...Maybe investing in a change of snow tires for next year wouldn’t be a bad idea.”

“R-Rin..?” It wasn’t often that she had addressed herself as ‘master’, she must’ve been really truly angry with him. But that only strengthened his resolve to try and fix what he allowed to happen. And to make sure it wouldn’t happen again, at that.

Yugo’s left to blink blankly at Rin, his heart beginning to sink where his stomach would be if he was, y’know, human. So she couldn’t believe him by his words alone... Which was understandable but it certainly wasn’t what Yugo’s hopes were riding on in that moment. And his heart only drops further as the lamp is pointed at him along with her apologies, and knew exactly what was coming after that, and that he was powerless to stop it.

The shackles on his wrists take on a faint glow when he is struck with the light, which causes his eyes to shut tightly as it forced Rin’s wish to be granted. When he next opens his eyes they’re shining blue as well, his mouth moving before he could even put together the things he had meant to say.

“The truth...” 

“The truth is like I said; that wasn’t my doing, but actually another named Yuri who momentarily got the better of me.”

“And that would be me.” A voice then comes to fruition along with the translucent, ghost like form that Rin would know well was that of another dragon genie, much like Yugo himself. This new genie appears from behind Yugo in faint purple wisps, who in comparison, seemed a lot less ‘here’ so to speak. Like a hand would pass right through him if Rin, for example, attempted to touch (or throw something at) him. “Pardon my previous behavior. It is truly nice to meet Yugo’s thousandth, and final, master.” He speaks without a hint of remorse, his smile cold just as Yugo blinks, shaking his head as if to help in loosing the glow forced him to act upon Rin’s wish faster.

Crystal Venom

The terrified look in Yugo’s eyes was well justified. He had right to fear Rin, and she was glad he knew that. After all, she was his master. He was hers to command. They hadn’t really…had that type of relationship in the time they had been together, but now that she was upset, it seemed like they were going in that direction for now.

“I didn’t even have to wish it for you to clean up the mess. You are smart to not try to anger your master further…” She comments as she witnesses him putting everything in her living space back to normal. It wasn’t common for genies to do things for those they served without the other wishing it to be so. That just further showed how deeply Yugo cared for Rin. However, she was kinda too upset at the moment to really see that past her water filled eyes.

Her eyebrows narrowed slightly at his words. Did she really know that? Magical creatures of any kind were known to commonly possess some traits of trickery. Dragon genies had to be much the same. Yugo’s whole innocent, cute dork act could just be a cover-up, and he was showing that side earlier. What else could she believe with no other evidence?

“Yugo…” She says after a short pause; seeing the genuine emotion he is displaying. It was so hard to stay angry at someone like him. He reminded her much of the children on the streets she used to look after; troublemakers who made bad choices sometimes but had a good heart with good intentions. But….to almost strangling her to death could have no such good reasoning. “I-I want to believe you, b-but I just can’t with what you are telling me!”

Suddenly she stopped; remembering something she did happen to read in the books about dragon genies. Her hands then go to her lamp; pointing at him with a pained expression. “…I’m sorry, but this is the only way I can find out the truth. Yugo, I wish for you to tell me the truth behind the incident that just occurred with you trying to strangle me. All of it…”

A blue light is sent towards the boy; hitting his body as the magic from his shackles started to overtake him. No matter what he wanted, he had to grant the wish she said.

“W-Wait!” 

Yugo waves his hands frantically when Rin brandished his lamp at him. He hated being stuffed inside that thing! Even more than he hated Yuri, and that was a lot as it was! The last thing he wanted was to be sealed inside the lamp with the guy! That would be just too much.

So Yugo takes it upon himself to begin swiping up the numerous books and various other objects with a swift, smooth swing of his tail. Cleaning up a mess such as this was relatively easy when you had magic on your side, after all. The books are finding themselves stacked neatly back in their proper places as Yugo continues his panic.

“T-That’s not true, I swear! I’d never hurt you on purpose, Rin! You know that...don’t you?” His eyes are pleading, gazing upon Rin as his lips then press together tightly. He wanted to explain to her that it hadn’t been him, but then he’d have to out Yuri. And that...wasn’t an option was it?

“I...” 

Sadly enough, he understood where Yuri was coming from. Yugo had been the last of them still left in servitude and this was his way of trying to get him out of it and whatnot. But not like this! Rin was the first master he had actually enjoyed... He didn’t want her getting hurt just to earn his freedom a little quicker.

“I’m... sorry, Rin... I really am. You gotta believe me.”

Crystal Venom

The experience that Rin had just gone through was so intense, she couldn’t help but cry. She had been reading up on books of lore as she always did in order to further her own knowledge and skills. However, when Yugo had appeared back after making a short leave of absence that she had allowed him. By the rules of his society, he couldn’t leave his ‘mistress’ ever, but since she had allowed him to do so for a short amount of time, he was given that freedom which was rare for genies.

However, suddenly being attacked by her closest comrade; being choked to death and being stared at with terrifying fuschia eyes caused her to go into a state of panic. Luckily, she managed to kick apart the physical half of his form; freeing herself from the death grip and started to throw everything she could at him out of self-defense. She could have grabbed her lamp and force him back inside but was too emotional to think straight. To think the being she had been with all this time, who showed a lowly common girl like her such kindness and no animosity despite his lifetime service to her, had suddenly attacked her was quite shocking and caused her to have doubts about his true nature. Could he really have been just doing a trick all this time so she would free him forever?

“If by bastard you mean is you, then yes you did!” She shouted back; tears flowing down her cheeks. “I’m not a fool. I saw you attack me! You were trying to kill me to break our bond! You…you never cared about me Yugo. All those words you said to me. were all lies…You tried to get rid of me when I let my guard down because I was fooled by your kindness! Well…not anymore!”

She grabbed her lamp to point at him; an object adorned with the brightest crystals and even had mini dragon wings at its sides like all other dragon genie lamps. “Any last words before I seal you away in your lamp for a little time out after I make you clean up this mess? I know how much you hate it in there!”

Crystal Venom

Only once Rin’s assault of thrown books, lamps and other nearby objects is over does he sit back up; having dove to the safety of the floor only mere moments ago, before his head had gotten taken off by a flying desk. His hands immediately go poking and prodding at all his newfound aches and pains. And boy... There was quiet a few.

“Ow, ow, ow...”

His face still hurt terribly, the blood dripping from his nose finally slowing to a slight dribble that he now wipes at again. Rin really got him good there. It was just too bad Yuri hadn’t stayed in control of his body long enough to feel the force of her wrath in full himself. Instead he receded just before, leaving Yugo with the aftermath: A bloody nose, a now upset Rin, and a terrible taste in his mouth.

He supposes that explains where Yuri had gone after winning their duel. His stomach churning at the thought of that bastard someway, somehow getting inside him though. It didn’t make much sense to him. But then again, nothing that guy ever said or did made sense anyway. But this was definitely going to be trouble...

Yugo wanted Yuri as far away from him and Rin as possible. But now... So long as Yuri remained inside him, he would be as close to Rin as he was. He shakes his head; too many thoughts swirling and mixing and making a low-key headache now known. But that wasn’t the worst of his concerns right now. He opens his eyes to the sounds of Rin’s sudden sobs. His eyes, now a clear blue hue once more, gaze upon her.

“H-he’s gone now, Rin...” He could only hope that made enough sense to her. “It’s me again... Yugo! I... I swear it.”

He’s not sure how to explain himself just yet. But there was no point in thinking that far ahead when he wasn’t even sure Rin would hear him out just yet. First and foremost; he’d have to get her to calm down. Which he knew would be no easy task.

“You okay..? That bastard didn’t hurt you, did he?”
