"You are mine. Now and forever," He murmured, pulling the half-fae close as he spoke. "Even death won't be able to tear us apart. You are mine, as I am yours, forever and always, that's how it shall be."

Unfortunately, that might take a little bit. "...I don't like it when you spend time with him. He makes me really uneasy." He admitted softly, after a few moments. Would he stop Yugi from spending time with Malik? No, but there was no point in lying about it either.

"I know everyone says he's changed. But what if he's playing us again? I don't trust him. It worries me that you're going to get hurt."

"I'm not angry. Just because I don't currently like you because of what you did and just because I don't trust you, that doesn't mean I'm pissed off. But I'm not trusting enough to go by your words alone, that's what almost killed us all last time around. Millennium Rod or not, I can't trust what I haven't seen yet."

People often mistook Jou's mistrust as him being angry or confused it with hatred, and he supposed that was fair enough, but he wasn't as trusting as Yugi was. Nor was he as willing to forgive as some others might have been. But that didn't mean he was completely unable to be convinced.

"You're so adamant that you've changed. But don't tell me, show me that you have. 'S gonna take a while, if you're in it for the long haul then maybe we can get somewhere."

He cupped Jou's face in his hands and pressed a soft kiss to his lips, tying to soothe his anger and distract him.

Jou accepted the kiss and sighed softly. The thing was...He wasn't angry. Defensive of Yugi, yes. Worked up and very alert whenever Malik was around? also Yes. But despite that, he wasn't angry, just heavily wary whenever Malik was around.

"You must think I'm some special sorta stupid if you think I'm gonna fall for that line. Do you know how many times someone's said that same exact thing only to turn around n try to kill us later? I don't fuckin' buy it."

Arms crossing over his chest, Jou's teeth bared slightly in irritation. His distrust towards this man ran much deeper than most would realize.

"I will never trust or like someone who took over my mind and tried to make me murder my own best friend. You can fuck off with that bullshit."

"Just because Yugi is too forgiving for his own good doesn't mean I'll be the same. Friends don't kidnap and enslave each other, last time I checked, and don't think I'll ever look past that. You hurt one hair on him and I'll make sure your death looks like a fucking accident." Not easy was likely an understatement. Jou was one to hold an uncannily strong grudge when it came to people who'd brought hard to his friends, but especially when it came to Yugi.

"Don't make the mistake of thinking I'm one to make empty threats either."

He's sleepy but has gotten up to find Jou and snuggle on his lap.

Jou opened one eye from where he'd been semi-napping in a sunny spot on the grass, but once he saw who was cuddling up to him, he simply let out a happy little purr and wrapped his arms around Yugi. Leaning forward to press a soft kiss to the top of his head.

Cue loud, angry hissing. He is not in the mood today it seems.

The instant he saw Yugi in that outfit...Jou's jaw just about hit the floor. He couldn't take his eyes off him, having to blink several times before his brain was able to even manage to process what he was being asked.

"....Silly? Babe, you look....Just...Wow..."

Shaking his head violently for a very brief second to shake his brain back into place, he smiled and stepped up to Yugi, soft honey-brown eyes gazing upon him with nothing but love.

"You look more beautiful than the moon at midnight, my love. You'd better be careful or you'll make even the most beautiful goddess jealous."
