The canine puppet gasps for breath, his eyes fluttering open as he pushes himself into a sitting position, and from there, up to his feet. He pants heavily, looking around the room, his eyes wide and his usually-pristine fur messy.

"Uh- hey, Friend- boss is uh...indisposed...at the moment- I hope he's okay..." Meta gives Friend a shaky smile, his tentacles quivering behind him.

The tentacled Wally variant paces back and forth, a worried expression still painted across his face as his tentacles anxiously lash behind him. "P-please, you've gotta understand! He-he didn't mean to-" He stops talking, sitting down on a metal chair and burying his face in his hands. "Please...let him wake up..."

How do you pick the candidates for the fusions?

“Well, there are a lot of factors that play into that. How interesting the sources themselves are, what kinds of abilities the combinations could produce…all sorts of things, really. And, of course, whatever the Sponsors want- oh, sorry- not supposed to-“
