   aria  was  walking  downtown  when  the  news  hit  ;  there  was  a  death  in  the  town.  her  eyes  had  caught  the  flashing  lights  of  ambulances  &  police  cars  in  the  distance.  the  femme  had  began  walking  towards  it  like  a  moth  attracted  to  a  light  ---  she’d  left  before  hearing  mayor  choi’s  wishes  for  no  theories.  aria  was  stopped  by  caution  tape.  she  let  out  a  small  gasp ,  seeing  where  she  presumed  the  body  was  ( under  a  thin  white  sheet ).  aria  leaned  closer  to  the  person  next  to  her  and  quietly  asked :  “ do you know what the hell happened to her ? ”

     she  just  wanted  to  have  her  latte  in  peace  ;  aria  had  planned  on  taking  her  lunch  down  to  the  lake  and  having  a  peaceful  afternoon  but  instead  she  was  met  with  someone  she’d  much  rather  not  see  ,  let  alone  speak  to.  aria  lets  out  an  audible  sigh  at  the  question.  within  seconds,  a  smile  is  forced  on  her  lips   ----   the  last  thing  she  wants  is  to  start  anything.  and  then  an  idea  pops  into  her  mind.  “ sure, whatever. ”  aria  agreed  before  getting  into  position  to  take  the  photos.  each  picture  the  femme  had  taken  was  blurry and  unusable.  she  offered  one  last  fake  smile  while  handing  the  phone  back.  as  aria  turned  to  walk  away,  the  “smile”  dropped  instantly  and  her  eyes  rolled.  hopefully  mabelle  wouldn’t  look  at  the  photos  until  she  was  long  gone  . . . . .

living life as an influencer means working nonstop    –    at least,   this is true for mabelle.   even in town amidst the rumors of corruption and something unknown in the woods,  she has to do her job,  snapping photo after photo to keep her account running.   she’s found the perfect spot near the lake,   posed right against the side of no doze cafe    …    but no one to take the picture for her.    she spots someone walking by and,   without even checking to see who it is,   calls out to them.    “hey   !!    can you take this picture for me  ??”   /    ( @itlivesstarters )

     aria  had  agreed  to  help  her  friend  with  setting  up  a  few  things  in  her  new  living  arrangement  ~  it  wasn’t  a  residence  aria  would  choose  first  but  she  would  admit  that  it  was  rather  homey.  after  an  hour  or  two  of  moving  things  around,  it  was  finally  time  for  the  femme  to  leave.  as  she  exited  the  front  doors,  she  offers  a  small  smile  to  the  person  she  walks  by   --------  aria  hadn’t  realized  her  notebook  had  fallen  out  off  of  her  until  the  same  person  tries  to  catch  her  attention.  she  turns ,  slightly  confused. “ hm? ....  oh ! thank you so much. ”  she  hoped  the  other  didn’t  look  at  the  contents  of  her  notebook. “ this notebook is really important to me so  ...  thank you. ”

                   forrest  loves  spending  time  outside,  deep  in  nature  where  he  can  forget  about  the  ‘real  world’  for  a  few  hours.  he  knows  the  police  are  very  touchy  about  who  can  go  in  and  out  of  the  woods  ( read;  nobody )  but  he  knows  he’s  charming  enough  to  wriggle  out  of  any  trouble  he  might  get  into,  even  if  it’s  against  police  chief  doug  !  the  sun  is  just  setting  when  he  makes  his  way  back  to  his  flat,  mud  dusting  his  features;  nose,  ears,  forehead,  elbows,  knees   –   when  he  spots  somebody  leaving  the  front  doors  and  watches  as  they  drop  something  from  their  pocket.  he  rushes  to  catch  up,  picking  up  the  wayward  piece  of  paper  and  calling  to  the  retreating  form.                  ❝    hey    !!    wait  up,  you  dropped  this   !    ❞

   aria  had  a  great  love  for  being  able  to  train at  the  hospital  ;  it  was  interesting  and  inspiring  watching  everything  happen  in  person  right  before  her  eyes.  her  busy  “work”  day  had  come  to  an  end  which  meant  it  was  time  to  go  home.  the  femme  trailed  behind  one  of  her  good  friends  when  suddenly,  she  stops.  aria  can’t  help  but  frown  and  it’s  only  when  she  realizes  what  the  other  is  looking  at  does  she  understand.  aria’s  brows  are  still  furrowed  as  she  says: “ pen ? ” ----------- “ penelope ? ”  she  placed  a  hand  on  the  other’s  shoulder.  aria  lets  out  a  small  chuckle  as  penelope  begins  apologizing. “ you’re good-- it’s okay. ”  she  walks  out  the  door  before  turning  to  penelope. “ i’m fine but .. are you ? where did you go just then ? ”

she’s just left her volunteer shift at the hospital when the sight of the woods catches her eyes    –   ever present,   dark and twisted branches obscuring any light that might happen to filter in.    she wonders if her brother’s in there   –   wonders if he’s okay,   if he’s thinking about her.    and then someone comes in contact with her back and penelope realizes that,   embarrassingly enough,   she was blocking the door.    flushing,   she steps out of the way,    turning on her heel to apologize.    “i’m so sorry    !!    i didn’t even realize,  i  –  i’m such a ditz.   are you alright  ??”  ( @itlivesstarters )

everyone knows 23 year-old ARIA LIN, SHE is the town MEEK. SHE is a NURSE-IN-TRAINING who frequents FUNSPOT ARCADE during HER free time. i heard from someone that SHE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO A PAST MISSING PERSON BUT NEVER SPOKE UP ABOUT IT. it’s not surprising since SHE is OPTIMISTIC and SENSITIVE. everyone says SHE looks like NATASHA LIU BORDIZZO, but i’m not sure if i see it.

all aria has known is life with only her father. she never really noticed other’s have mothers and she doesn’t until she was 6. every time she asks about mommy-dearest, her father never says much, if anything. his eyes glisten every time she asks which only makes her curiosity grow.

who is her mother? a question she would never fully get an answer to.

though she doesn’t know it, aria takes after her mother in every way possible; with her caring nature and contagious smile. believe it or not, she even studies to go into the same line of work as her mother did.

aria’s father teaches her from a young age that people will take advantage of her kindness. she doesn’t really understand why anyone would do that but she’ll quickly learn.

she’s barely 15 when she realizes she’s never anyone’s first choice for anything. there’s always someone fitter than her, someone smarter than her, someone cuter than her. but at that point, she’s gotten used to it but the thought of it still makes her sad.

aria has become accustomed to the idea that she’ll always ever be the nice friend who’s always in the background. honestly though, she doesn’t mind. she prefers being the friend who cares for others than being the one who gets hurt.

she’s 18 years old when her father finally breaks. aria had asked one one too many times about her mother. “She’s dead.” her father says; but he doesn’t mention how or when or why. “Now please, for the love of everything, stop asking about her. Please.” -- it’s almost as if he was begging. Being constantly reminded of his late beloved wife whenever he looked at his daughter was hard enough without all the questions about her.

aria can’t say she understands but she empathizes with her father. and that was the last time she’d ever ask him about her.

instead, she started her own research to find answers. it’d prove to be extremely difficult seeing as aria doesn’t know as much as her mother’s full name. but she’s trying nonetheless.

she’s starting to move on with life now; she’s moved into her own house with a few pets and a roommate. she’s training to become a full time nurse.  she’s still researching her mother. she’s also started to dabble in researching the woods but shhhhh... no one knows about that.
