A woman went shopping. At the cash counter, she opened her purse to pay.
The cashier noticed a TV remote in her purse.
He could not control his curiosity and asked,
"Do you always carry your TV remote with you?😕"
She replied " No, not always, but my husband refused to accompany me shopping today because of football match, so I took the remote."

Shocked at this act, she asked the cashier what he was doing.

Researchers at the University of California, Riverside, have, for the first time, successfully used electric dipoles to completely suppress electron transfer in one direction while accelerating in the other. The discovery could aid development of improved solar cells and other energy-conversion devices and hasten the design of new and superb energy and electronic materials.
It is not a stretch to say that life depends on strictly regulated electron transfer.
Electron transfer is among the most fundamental processes for sustaining life and for energy conversion. It occurs when an electron moves from one atom or molecule to another, bringing its electrical energy with it. Photosynthesis, mitochondrial and cellular respiration, and nitrogen fixation are among the many biological processes made possible by the orderly movement of electrons.

Integritas Pemimpin Muda
“Anak-anakku harus menjadi contoh untuk teman-teman di lingkungan, rendah hati, berprestasi,berakhlak yang mulia, berakhlak yang baik. Kalau ada teman-temannya yang sukatawuran beri tahu. Kalau ada yang satu dua memakai narkoba , beritahu. Atau yang masih mereman, mereman itu apa ya, suka menuju kearah preman, beri tahu teman-temannya sehingga kalian semua menjadi tauladan bagi lingkungan disekitar,” Begitulah pesan Kepala Negara kepada para pemuda di Kawah Kepemimpinan Pelajar 2015.
Presiden Jokowi menegaskan,bangsa ini butuh anak muda yang bergerak dengan penuh semangat untuk mengubahlingkungan sekitar menjadi lebih baik. Bangsa ini butuh anak muda yang berani,yang jujur, yang tegas.
Bicara soal pemuda apa sih? Pemuda adalah bagian terpenting dari sebuah bangsa. Tanpa pemuda maka matilah bangsa tersebut. Keberadaan pemuda menjadi modal yang besar bagi pembangunan dan kemajuan bangsa. Potensi para pemuda ini banyak, beragam idealisme dan daya kritisnya, kreatifitas, berani ambil resiko, kemampuan teknologi informasi yang handal dan yang paling penting semangat apinya.
Namun pemuda punya tantangan yang mesti diselesaikan. Contohnya kelabilan dalam pemikiran akibat kurang interaksi dengan kaum tua, pergaulan yang menjatuhkan, dan masih banyak lagi tetapi yang penting kurangnya kesadaran pemuda.
Sesungguhnya bertebaran di negeri ini pemuda-pemuda hebat, cerdas, visioner, punya kapabilitas untuk memimpin bangsa. di sana ada sosok Pak Jokowi, Anies Baswedan, Abraham Samad, dan di sana masih banyak sosok pemuda hebat bahkan dirimu sendiri.
Bicara soal pemuda artinya bicara soal pengganti masa depan pemimpin kita, sudah saatnya kita menyadari bahwa kita pasti akan memimpin negeri ini.  Apa aja sih yang dibutuhkan seorang pemimpin? Seorang pemimpin salah satunya butuh integritas, integritas itu sendiri adalah adalah adalah konsistensidan keteguhan yang tak tergoyahkan dalam menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai luhur dan keyakinan. Definisi lain dari integritas adalah suatu konsep yang menunjuk konsistensi antara tindakan dengan nilai dan prinsip. Bicara integritas, maka nilai kejujuran dan pentingnya meletakkan kepentingan bangsa dan Negara di atas kepentingan pribadi, kelompok dan golongan menjadi nilai yang utama. Integritas seakan menjadi tolak ukur dalam kepemimpinan. Dengan adanya integritas, kamu telah bisa memimpin diri sendiri untuk memimpin orang lain
Dari selancar di internet saya menemukan ungkapan Karl Eller yang menarik tentang integritas yang artinya "Tanpa integritas , motivasi menjadi berbahaya; tanpamotivasi, kapasitas menjadi tak berdaya; tanpa kapasitas, pemahaman menjadi terbatas; tanpa pemahaman pengetahuan tidak ada artinya; tanpa pengetahuan, pengalaman menjadi buta."
Integritas itu bukan bakat tapi kemampuan yang terus dilatih. Untuk dapat mengembangkan integritas kepemimpinan berikut adalah strategi atau langkah-langkah untuk mencapainya:
Menghargai orang-orang disekeliling. Bangun kepercayaan antarindividu dan ciptakan keharmonisan.
Memperkuat nilai-nilai bersama. Ciptakan komunikasi yang memilikikebanggaan tertentu  dan temukandasar-dasar pijakan bersama.
Mengembangkan kemampuan atau keterampilan seorang pemimpin.Berdayakan orang lain sampai kepuncak karir dan kembangkan kepemimpinan setiaporang.
Mengembangkan pelayanan. Jadikan diri anda contoh nyata. Mudahdicari dan mudah diajak bicara. Kembangkan sistem dan prosedur kerja.
Mempertahankan dan bahkan tingkatkan faktor kepercayaan yang anda miliki, bersikap optimistis, antusias dan tunjukkan semangat dan kecintaan pada pengikut, tunjukkan bahwa anda layak dipercaya.
Yuk sudah saat kita tingkatkan integritas kita mulai dari diri kita sendiri dibantu teman-teman kita, berusaha menjadi seorang pemimpin di lingkungan terkecil. Jangan sampai kita membuang-buang waktu kita hanya untuk kebinasaan diri beserta bangsa, Jangan sampai kemunafikan menjadi hal yang biasa aja untuk kita. Sudah waktunya pemuda di depan membakar semangat untuk menjadi bangsa yang madani

Pendidikan Zaman Now
bahasa ilmiahnya itu ‘Pendidikan Kotemporer’. Ini pertama kalinya saya hadir dan saat itu juga tercengang ternyata pematerinya ialah Kak Raka Ramadhana, Kominfonya BEM UNJ. Langsung kita lihat penjelasannya.
Landasan sistem pendidikan di Indonesia tercantum pada Pasal 31 ayat 3 UUD 1945 dan UU No 20 tahun 2003. 
Urgensi Pendidikan, yaitu :
Memberi pengetahuan : sesuai dengan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.
Karir Pekerjaan : jika pendidikan tidak ada, maka mencari pekerjaan pun susah. Karena selain mendapatkan hardskill, dengan pendidikan kita juga mendapatkan softskill.
Membangun karakter : agar mereka yang berpendidikan lebih baik karakternay dibandingkan dengan yang belum sempat merasakan pendidikan.
Pencerah Kehidupan : memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang hal-hal yang ada di sekitar kita agar tidak kebingungan.
Mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa : karena kemajuan bangsa berada di tangan orang yang berpendidikan.
Apa penyebab terpuruknya pendidikan di Indonesia ?
Wilayah yang terlalu luas sehingga aksesnya pun sangat sulit.
Sarana dan prasarana kurang memadai.
Kurangnya pemahaman terhadap pentingnya pendidikan.
Tidak meratanya pendidikan gratis.
MALAS.
Pendidikan kontemporer (masa kini) di Indonesia
Ayo baca, baca, dan baca, karena budaya membaca di Indonesia sangatlah kurang. Berdasarkan kutipan dari STUDI PISA, Indonesia menempati peringkat 60 dari 61 negara.
Welcome to digital era, dengan tujuan untuk membuat pembelajaran yang interaktif agar pelajar semakin bersemangat dalam melakukan pembelajaran.
Kemenristekdikti mengembangkan system Cyber University. 
Permasalahan terhadap system pendidikan nasional saat ini, yaitu :
Program “Student Loan”, yakni suatu program yang diadakan pemerintah dimana pemerintah mengajukan pinjaman dana pendidikan.
Kesalahan KEMENDIKBUD saat di hari pendidikan nasional, dimana KEMENDIKBUD mengadakan nonton bersama film Indonesia yang tidak ada hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan.  
Sehingga, dengan masalah-masalah di atas diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan kepada kita sebagai calon pendidik dan pengajar di masa depan nanti untuk memperbaiki mekanisme pendidikan saat ini di Indonesia.

Urgensi Kaderisasi
alhamdulillah, walaupun tidak ikut pra pkm fmipa 2018 namun berbekal catatan seorang teman baik (tulisan jelek asli) akhir bisa menulis ini juga. mungkin bosen kalo bahas teori tapi apa daya cuman dapet segini, langsung saja berikut penjelasannya.
Kaderisasi adalah suatu proses cara pembentukan seorang kader dengan membentuk seseorang yang diinginkan. Sedang kader adalah orang yang diharapkan untuk memegang peran penting dalam suatu institusi atau organisasi. Karena setiap peristiwa yang kita lakukan adalah proses pengkaderan itu sendiri.
Pentingnya akan kaderisasi dapat kita pahami pada firman Allah yang artinya;"Dan hendaklah takut (kepada Allah) orang-orang yang sekiranya mereka meninggalkan keturunan yang lemah dibelakang mereka yang mereka khawatir terhadap (kesejahteraan)nya. Oleh sebab itu, hendaklah mereka bertakwa kepada Allah, dan hendaklah mereka berbicara dengan tutur kata yang baik." (QS. An-Nisa : 9)

Google’s Assistant AI is getting better every year. It can tell you the weather, or perhaps crack a terrible joke if that’s more your speed. Give it another year or two, and it’ll be able to pre-order your lunch before you even had your morning coffee.
But more immediately, it might be able to make calls and book your appointments in a very-natural-sounding human voice, if a recent demo is to be believed.
At this year’s Google I/O developer’s conference in Mountain View, Google demoed a very natural-sounding Google Assistant making an appointment over the phone - a feature it calls Google Duplex.
This wasn’t just auto-filling an online form - according to various recordings tweeted from the conference, this was a phone call between Google’s AI Assistant and a human working at a salon.

A collaboration of engineers and researchers has found a way to prevent helium, a byproduct of the fusion reaction, from weakening nuclear fusion reactors.
The secret is in building the reactors using nanocomposite solids that create channels through which the helium can escape.
Researchers from Texas A&M University, working with a team from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, have tested a new method for creating the materials used in nuclear fusion reactors and found that it could eliminate one of the obstacles preventing humanity from harnessing the power of fusion energy.

If you’re of the mindset that knowledge should be freely accessible to as many humans as possible, paywalls for academic journals can be downright frustrating. Now a free browser extension is promising to bust through those paywalls wherever possible.
Unpaywall was launched earlier this month by the open source not-for-profit Impactstory – funded by the National Science Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation – and it’s already making a splash in the traditional publishing industry.
Install the plug-in on your Chrome or Firefox desktop browser, and it will start displaying a little lock symbol whenever you’re on the landing page of an article in an academic journal.
If the plug-in can find a freely accessible full-text copy of the paper you’re looking at, the lock symbol turns from grey to green, and you can simply click on it to get the PDF. If the lock is gold, the article you’re reading already has an open access licence.

Want to improve your memory? The “loci” really works, according to science.
So how can you improve memory? It has long been believed to depend on genetics, and research has focused on links between recall and intelligence.
But a new Stanford University School of Medicine study comparing fMRI brain scans of so-called “memory athletes” with normal folks suggests that great recall doesn’t need to be inherited: It can actually be learned.
The loci method, sometimes described as the “memory palace” method, was coined by Greek and Roman orators who had to memorize long speeches without the help of text.
The idea  is pretty simple. Humans are better at processing visual information than textual information, so if you want to remember a ton of words at once, pair each one with an image. Read more (3/8/17 12:12 PM).

The aim of this post is to understand the traveling wave solution. It is sometimes not explained in textbook as to why the solution “travels”.
We all know about our friend – ‘The sinusoid’.

As you can see this value of x is dependent on the value of time ‘t’, which means as time ticks, the value of x is pushed forward/backward based on the value of  ω  .
When the value of ω > 0, the wave moves forward and when ω < 0 , the wave moves backward.

A paper titled “High-Fidelity and Ultrafast Initialization of a Hole-Spin Bound to a Te Isoelectronic Centre in ZnSe” was recently published in the prestigious journal Physical Review Letters. The creation of a qubit in zinc selenide, a well-known semi-conductor material, made it possible to produce an interface between quantum physics that governs the behaviour of matter on a nanometre scale and the transfer of information at the speed of light, thereby paving the way to producing quantum communications networks. 
Classical physics vs. quantum physics
In today’s computers, classical physics rules. Billions of electrons work together to make up an information bit: 0, electrons are absent and 1, electrons are present. In quantum physics, single electrons are instead preferred since they express an amazing attribute: the electron can take the value of 0, 1 or any superposition of these two states. This is the qubit, the quantum equivalent of the classical bit. Qubits provide stunning possibilities for researchers.
An electron revolves around itself, somewhat like a spinning top. That’s the spin. By applying a magnetic field, this spin points up, down, or simultaneously points both up and down to form a qubit. Better still, instead of using an electron, we can use the absence of an electron; this is what physicists call a “hole.” Like its electron cousin, the hole has a spin from which a qubit can be formed. Qubits are intrinsically fragile quantum creature, they therefore need a special environment.
Zinc selenide, tellurium impurities: a world first
Zinc selenide, or ZnSe, is a crystal in which atoms are precisely organized. It is also a semi-conductor into which it is easy to intentionally introduce tellurium impurities, a close relative of selenium in the periodic table, on which holes are trapped, rather like air bubbles in a glass.
This environment protects the hole’s spin - our qubit - and helps maintaining its quantum information accurately for longer periods; it’s the coherence time, the time that physicists the world over are trying to extend by all possible means. The choice of zinc selenide is purposeful, since it may provide the quietest environment of all semiconductor materials.
Polytechnique Montreal and CNRS of France, a team effort
Philippe St-Jean, a doctoral student on Professor Sébastien Francoeur’s team, uses photons generated by a laser to initialize the hole and record quantum information on it. To read it, he excites the hole again with a laser and then collects the emitted photons. The result is a quantum transfer of information between the stationary qubit, encoded in the spin of the hole held captive in the crystal, and the flying qubit - the photon, which of course travels at the speed of light.
This new technique shows that it is possible to create a qubit faster than with all the methods that have been used until now. Indeed, a mere hundred or so picoseconds, or less than a billionth of a second, are sufficient to go from a flying qubit to a static qubit, and vice-versa.
Although this accomplishment bodes well, there remains a lot of work to do before a quantum network can be used to conduct unconditionally secure banking transactions or build a quantum computer able to perform the most complex calculations. That is the daunting task which Sébastien Francoeur’s research team will continue to tackle.
