This is one of those true, declassified government things that always sounds made up but one of the things Henry Kissinger did with his career was use the CIA to help turn small, prosperous socialist nations into fascist dictatorships just to keep those nations powerless and possibly to keep socialist systems *looking* doomed and futile to the American public, like maybe just to scare Americans out of demanding better infrastructure or universal income. Look, I'm on the spectrum myself, so I totally get the impulse to try and logic things out, but if I see one more post that's like "neurotypical people are crazy because explaining to them why their emotional reactions are irrational doesn't cause them to stop experiencing those emotions" – buddy, that doesn't work on anybody. I'm willing to bet real money it doesn't even work on you. The problem you are experiencing is that you have chosen a deescalation strategy with a zero percent success rate.

I was teaching kids today and they got fixated on the usual ‘are they dead now?’ question when I was talking about historical figures. So I was just like ‘Yes, they’re dead now, everyone who was alive in the 1800s is dead now.’ and then one kid was like ‘Except for you’.

not even kidding be SO earnest. Be so honest and forthcoming about your life, your feelings in the pursuit of connection with others, and know being as earnest as possible in your experience is what quells loneliness in those who feel the same way as you do. Is what helps us feel seen. And builds community and resolve within the fact it doesn't have to feel so lonely and insurmountable. we need community and connection. You really are not as alone as you think, we're all scared. we need to hold each others hands

I know most of you don't have any money or are giving what you have to charitable causes (and keep on with that, the world needs help). But, I seem to have pretty much no work (i'm self employed) this month and if anyone can share this, who knows, it might reach some rich person who likes Rothko and wants to help me repair my crumbling resources.

I am, by the way, fairly embarrassed to fund raise at all. A big art account (not on tumblr) told me recently not to be and that people all have Patreon and substack and so forth, but all i can say is I look forward to the day when I can fund everything by myself.

I have been working hard on writing and acquiring and answering questions, doing research, etc. and , of course, I'm not going top put anything behind a paywall, but here I am .
