Final Midterm Pitching

January 26, 2023 is our final pitching. Finally we are done to our final pitching, we are all happy because we successfully completed our presentation. It is impossible to achieve success without putting in a lot of effort. And I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. I thankful with god because he guide us until the end of this semester, also to my groups thank you for the hardworking and efforts. Hopefully that in the next semester we will continue this project.

Week 10 - Insights

For my week 10 of blog, we prepared for our final pitching this coming January 26, 2023. It is good now because our UI/UX design has already validated. In our last discussion sir discuss the final pitching, he explained the target market and revenue model because this is important. As I understand the market size have three types which is TAM, SAM, SOM. A revenue model is how a business makes money. The revenue model is considered a high-level look at the revenue structure of a business. As of now we are done our ppt for final pitching.

All we have to do is be prepared for our final pitch.

Interview for Validation (UI/UX Design)

INSIGHT - 9TH WEEK

We finished creating UI/UX design last year december 2022. For my week 9 of blog, we interview again the customers to present our UI/UX design for Validation. In the previous week we have presented our UI design and it was a success. We went back to those two restaurants that we have interviewed in the past which is the circa and coffee project then we asked them for their opinions and what features they would want to add on our design, they said that they wanted to add chat box in which the restaurant and the customer will chat about their reservation. Lastly, we already added the updates on our UI/UX design.

CREATING UI/UX

INSIGHTS - 8th WEEK

When we creating a UI/UX design, first we must analyze and understand what inside of our Application. I and my members suggest anything design to be apply to our UI/UX design. Actually I'm not good when it comes to design but I will do my best.

Lastly, we give all the efforts and time for creating UI/UX design. That's how teamwork works, and I believe that each of us will learn this hard work in the future, not only me but also the others.

Final Midterm Pitching

INSIGHTS:

We have five minutes to present our project during the pitching, therefore I'm getting nervous. We have been practicing for days in order to explain our idea in 5 minutes, but even with this short amount of time, we do our best.

Finally we are done our Midterm Pitching. So we are going to move the next steps which is creating UI/UX design. My groupmates said that we are going start by next week and I agreed. So for this week we are going to rest and do the other activities.

Preparation for Midterm Pitch Deck

Our team has already created the introduction of our system. Additionally, we discuss the problems, customer, and solution. We are brainstorming as a team and everyone of us has been assigned a task to do other things. So now we prepare for the pitch and also practice for 5 minutes presentation.

Lastly, we thankful because we're already validated . We do our best to this success with efforts and collaboration. I Believe efforts is the key to success, without this efforts you are not going success anymore.

Proposed Idea to the customer

For my week 5 of blog, we interview again a customers and we propose our project. First we introduce the Introduction of our project.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

RESTAURANT RESERVATION SYSTEM

Introduction

The project Restaurant Reservation System includes food ordering and table reservation at nearest or far restaurants. In which customers can overview the location, and price of the menu in the restaurant. On the same platform, customers can order food for take out and pick-up. It is an arrangement made in advance to have a table available at a restaurant and also to order food ahead of time of their reservation. Restaurants will be able to track cancellations, and manage walk-in and waitlist with the use of Restaurant Reservation Application.

Scope

This application will be used by multiple users and restaurants at a time, for now the scope of this application in Cagayan de Oro City restaurants. This online reservation system will provide the restaurant owner to manage their services including food. This system will be managed by two main android applications, first one would be available for general customers for viewing and booking of table and food order. Second would be used by the admin to manage the services within the restaurant premises. This application covers almost all the restaurant chains in Cagayan de Oro on your smartphone. Our Restaurant Reservation System has its different features for both admin and customers, as follows:

Admin side features:

● Managing bookings and walk-ins through the application

● Automatic or manual table management

Customer side features:

● Customers can choose an area in the restaurant

● Customers can see the menu from the application and make decisions for what to order

● The customer can send any suggestions or report any bad side about the restaurant on the feedback page. Thus, the management will know their mistakes & can improve their performance.

Week 3: Blog

Validation

For my week 3 of blog, we continued our interview for the Validation. We are now moving to the next step which is how the user will apply our system. We're still not done with this, but we keep fighting and moving forward. My groupmates make more of an effort on this idea, and we are accountable for every duty that was assigned to us.

Lastly, after a long time of interviews and surveys, people rejected us but we still not give up for our grades. Out of 3 ideas there's one left which is Restaurant Reservation System but it's already validated.

Week 2: Blog

Discussed and Idea Generating

For my week 2 of blog, with my groups we discussed and brainstorming for our project. We create a questions for our interview to collect any ideas for our technopreneurship.

Idea Generating

Ideas are the key to innovation. Without this, there isn't much to execute and because execution is the key to learning, new ideas are necessary for making any kind of improvement.

We present our top 3 ideas to discuss the problem, customer, and solution. Based in our interview, we came up with three (3) ideas which are as follows:

1. Motorcycle Tracking App

Problem:

• People who struggle for looking a jeep or bus at night, student with an evening schedule and those who don't have their own vehicle.

Customer/User:

• Students (College, Senior High School, High School)

Solution:

• With this app people can access this to track a vehicle and customer/user can easily use this app to share their location.

2. Restaurant Reservation System

• A system that lets guests reserve a table online and alerts owners to new reservations, cancellations or no shows. In which customers can overview the location, and price of the menu in the restaurant. On the same platform, customers can order food for take out and pick-up.

Problem:

• struggle of looking for an availability of restaurants.

• less to no time of making phone calls for seat reservations.

• communication barriers when making phone call reservation which leads to mistakes.

• difficulty of looking for restaurants that would suit up on their cravings and the availability of vacancy of restaurants.

Customer/User:

• customers who would want an easy-access to make an reservations in a restaurant.

• customers who would want to view the menu dishes before making a reservation and choose their desired dining seating location.

Solution:

• a platform that that makes it easier to access seat reservation right on their smartphones.

• a time management of customers to have their food given on their reservation time right after they have ordered ahead before their reservation.

• simplify the guest management experience by having both seat reservation and order food for pick-up and take out on the same app.

• customers can choose a restaurant's availability during specific timeframes and on their desired locations.

3. Room Rental Locator

Problem:

• students who are living from rural areas

• students don't have enough transportation expenses.

• lack of students attendance

• lack of resources

• students who wants to rent a room but can't locate a good dormitory or boarding house for them.

• students who lives from rural areas and wants to study from other community.

• students from other cities who wants to study/work from other cities.

• students who don't have a house/room near from admitted school.

Customer/User:

• Students(College/Highschool/Working Students)

Solution:

• Room Rental Locator Application will help you locate the best rental rooms/boarding house near to your school/workplace.

• Provides comfortable dormitory rooms and boarding house.

• Provides secured rental rooms/house near school/workplace.

• Provides affordable rental rooms/house near school/workplace.

• Easy access with available rental rooms/house from your location.

• Using Augmented Reality and 360 view, you can explore or view the room designs virtually.

First Week of Blog (Self-Esteem). During the 09/12/2022 asynchronous lecture in Technopreneurship ES211a_Tech101

What is technopreneurship?

The term technopreneurship is a fusion of two words, technology, and entrepreneurship. It is a kind of entrepreneurship in the field of technology. It involves tech-savvy, creative, innovative individuals who have a knack for taking a calculated risk, unlike entrepreneurship, which can sometimes be a one-person show. The success of a technopreneur depends on how well they can motivate a team of individuals. So, the success of any technopreneurship start-up involves a group of dedicated people with different skill sets and resources working hand in hand.

I have no insights yet on what Technopreneurship is all about. In our first online class sir discuss about Technopreneurship, he explain what is all about in this subject. So we created a group and sir said that we are going to interview to collect any ideas for our project. With my groups we discussed and we create a question for our first interview.

After the discussion in class, we were required to complete two personality assessments: the Berkeley Innovative Index (BII) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) (BII).
