ramble #3) also because it’s tumblr i’d like to say that i dont rlly care for/about the ships very much. i just like lightning mcqueen and i draw him with whoever i’m also thinking about at the time haha

sometimes i draw ship art if i think the pairing is funny but other than that i don’t think very much about romantic ships

I dont know why but i unconciously based him off of carlos sainz jr at first. maybe because he was on my mind

i like drawing him but im more mcqueen focused so thats why i havent really given him much thought555 i dont really poke around the fandom space though and i drew everything before i looked up any other fanart so i will definitely take a look around sometime!

ramble #1) i’ve actually never drawn a human cars 3 lightning yet bc idk how i want to design him

he would definitely look a lot older i noticed that in my reference sheet i wrote that he still looks young, but i think he’d have more wrinkles (smile lines, crows feet, etc). signs that he is a very happy person haha

build wise ik a lot of drivers have to work out specifically so their body would be optimal and safe for being in a race car. i mostly watch formula 1 and not really any nascar (i saw two races in person) but i think he’s definitely more trained for endurance than show. Maybe younger lightning woud have more define muscles and he just softens over time LOL

So many different possibilities aaaah😓

so far we have 1 and 2, 3 will just be whenever i feel like it
